I'm not saying learn literally everything that makes them different, even just acknowledging that they're a person that isn't like a larger group.

It sets up two extreme prototypes which only further separates the two. The reality is we're all people and need to ignore the part of the brain that likes to make patterns and see people as individuals. Nothing gets accomplished by dismissing TBP as SJW feminism or TRP as mysogny.

Then care to explain? Every time I see it there's quite a bit of generalizing and then criticizing without checking the lenses they're looking through.

I'm a man. What made you think I was female? I like to cook anyway, honestly. And I'm not saying people should ignore looks. That's crazy, people have their own preference. I'm saying it always seems like the first thing someone says when talking negatively towards women has to do with appearance (the only way I can provide an example is how people talked about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Bernie's got a look like Doc Brown and yet Hillary constantly gets more about it. It's something tha…

But the problem with these subreddits it becomes an echo chamber. When no one questions when something goes too far with it then how can that escalation stop. Its generally a criticism of niche subreddits focused around certain ideas.

Hey man, I'm not trying to be a dick here. I read the rules and I'm following them. I'm genuinely interested in a discussion with people who have strong opinions and I don't see how that's an issue.

Aw thanks I'm flattered I'm glad you read my comment and gave a thorough analysis of your thoughts of it.

Alright, my point is that there shouldn't be a standard for men and a standard for women. I'm going to and hope that I'm incorrect and assume SMV means single man value. That just sounds like something Dennis from Its Always Sunny would come up with. We should hold everyone to the same standards. I'm a guy, if I had sex with 10+ women the general consensus I would get is I've gotten a good amount of sex. But if a woman has sex with 10+ men she's a slut. (i guarantee the laughable master key/lock…

You butchered those quotes and it seems like you're implying I said the things I quoted.

I knew it wasn't literal, but tone can't be read through text (without making it obvious which defeats the point) And yes, men and women both get harassed online. It's a problem, but it's not all of it. And the sheer amount getting sent to women is insane. I can't imagine being a woman using a dating site, trying to discuss video games on a forum, or even really using the internet for anything other than Facebook and Twitter. Creepy men sending dick pics, guys who go from nice to psycho after no…

To call that an honest look at the world would be more like saying fast food will cause your body to hyperinflate. It's hyperbole or at least a warped view.

So is your anger retalitory? Or do you just somehow feel women exist to fuck people over? And that's not at all how the world works, it's how a bunch of angry people sound locked in an echo chamber taking anger out on women. This "fighting fire with fire" attitude makes this subreddit worse than Tumblr.

Alright, so? Sex is fun, we all enjoy it, don't shame others for having it. Is a MFF three some "better" than MMF? It's three people having sex and exploring themselves, I say let 'em! Seriously though, why does this "women are sluts" nonsense come from especially when so many people in this subreddit brag about their sexual experience. Of all people I think the subreddit devoted to men avoiding relationships wouldn't have such a strange attitude on the subject.

No shit, I'm not defending it. I'm just saying that it's stupid to cite this as "evidence" here. Plus that article feels really one sided but I digress.

most of them can't cook Alright, if you want someone to cook for you, you can hire someone. Not all women cook, is that strange? Not all men watch sports, it's almost like they're people and not living tropes of '50s tv shows. rather masculine and are not even hot and age like shit. 95% of hot women I met in Germany were immigrants from Eastern Europe. And then appearance. It always seems to come up whenever someone has something to say about a woman It seems. It sounds more like you want to to …

You realize that no one is saying that happens to men, right? Everyone has problems unique to themselves. Anyway, men aren't put on the same level of scrutiny as women. It's a whole lot easier for guys in some areas, easier for women in others. But men having issues doesn't invalidate the complaints of women and sure as Hell mean they're any at all less than men, we're one species and the bogus caricaturization of genders is ridiculous Come on, can you honestly say that every woman is exactly th…

You realize statistically men are abused slightly more than women emotionally, and then in the other categories it's pretty much worse for women. Anyway, it's not like either are "masters of abuse" - and that's a poisonous mindset. Us vs them. It's pointless to keep score like that too, it's not like it it's a win for men or women. Let's say in the next 5 years we see 3,000 with abusers male/ 3,002 female - it's not the genders that are winning or losing - it's society 0, chaos 6,002.

Because a lot of the views expressed in this subreddit make it seem like a bunch of lonely men crying about how women don't like them or something else about how ever woman ever is blah blah blah and they've deluded themselves into thinking they're better because of it. But, honestly, anger is a powerful emotion. Anger leads to hatred, which leads to obsession. Think about it, you ever hear someone talk about someone they just can't stand but seems like they talk about a lot? Obsessive hate, whi…

That is straight up crazy. Imagine a feminist blog accusing single older men as the unwanted pieces of garbage holding on to sexual objectification and abuse. Your comment is pretty much that but using women instead and somehow that's perfectly alright to you?

Have you ever thought that you're a little angry towards woman and maybe taking that out through misogyny and definitive statements that aren't even realistic? And, if you treat women with the same tender kindness you obviously share for the gender itself, it's not a wonder you've deluded yourself into thinking that it's them and not you with the problem.

That must explain why literally no women have jobs, cars, or really anything that would require any type of responsibility because men are gods put here on earth just to be more powerful and better and do stuff Obviously this isn't serious, but making any sweeping generalization is usually the best way to have people think you're delusional.

Aw thanks. But your comment implied it was fairly common for this type of action to take place. But thanks for the one example, now I know that this happened. Honestly though, isolated incidents don't make it something that will happen all the time.

You're severely over simplifying and deflating those words. Verbal abuse is generally considered to be insults, threats, things of that nature Emotional abuse can be a variety of different things from cheating to emotional neglect - and is usually a more serious one because this can lead to some mental health issues Financial abuse would be hiding money from your spouse, having secret bank accounts, etc. There's a general trend here: abuse is someone taking the power from someone else.

I don't think you know how abuse works or how colleges handle it or as well as OP knows women if I'm being honest.

Men are held accountable for their actions and women are NOT. Women are not just not accountable to anyone, Ah yeah, men are totally always held accountable for what they do and women aren't. You know what's interesting? The sheer amount of untested rape kits over America. - there are a ridiculous amount of them and without those getting tested leads to very lengthy court cases that eventually lead to nothing. Now before you probably say something about rape accusations I just want to point out …

You very heavily implied it with the whole "all women are" statements. That's a whole lot of generalization. And honestly, it seems like you're quoting stereotypes as fact. From what I've noticed in my personal life when a woman expresses her thoughts she's shut down as crazy. That's insane to me, as we're all human beings with the same biology - men and women are really only different in hormones and sexual organs. Every relationship (both platonic and romantic) have problems. The issues genera…

On the flip side, how many men like to call their ex crazy. I haven't met a man who hasn't referred to their ex as crazy. But that's one side, and the brain has a natural bias towards itself. Its easier to justify your own actions because you know the entirety of it. (for example, let's say a friend calls me asking me a huge favor and I just say no and hang up. He might think I'm rude but what if I were doing something really important and couldn't talk - I know this so I don't see it as rude an…

But why? (seriously asking here, I mean no disrespect) I don't think you can look at any group and make definitive statements on the characters of every one of them. It wouldn't be fair to say all men are inherently stupid, so why would it be to say the same thing about women?

Considering the fact I've seen domestic abuse first hand several times, men definitely do abuse women. Not all men do it, just the shitty ones. But women also abuse men, and like men, it's just the shitty ones. Notice something? Shitty people do horrible things. You can't write off half the population because of a few people you personally know You sound just like the "radical feminists" who say all men are abusers and rapists.
