I'm failing at home makingAdding here that for a period of time, each of my kids had a clean laundry basket where I put all their clean clothes (I did not fold) and a dirty laundry basket. I washed each kids clothes in a separate load. I did not separate. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/12/24 01:20 AM
I'm failing at home makingYou just had a baby! No one is managing. No one unless their kids are older (at school and not home to mess things up) and only on those rare days when the stars align and double rainbows appear. Go do the fun things and order take out! | /r/RedPillWives | 30/12/24 01:18 AM
Have y’all watched this videoMy H married me and I had a degree and a career and he was still working through college. I wanted to stay home while the kids were little and I told him that I would go back to work when the kids got older. 6 more months and I’m there and I’ve got to evaluate the balance of it all. I love my kids and I loved being creative at my job. | /r/RedPillWives | 28/02/22 06:04 PM
Tea TimeI swear I have some kind of crisis fatigue. First with Covid and homeschooling and then a marriage crisis (8 months ago) and family drama with my parents/siblings (1 month ago). I am sooooo tired all the time and I want to curl up in a ball and sleep all day for 2 weeks straight. I have a good husband (who I wish would prioritize me...and frankly I know why he doesn’t want to be around me as I’m not exactly delightful atm), kids to run to and from school and sports, a house to clean, and dinner … | /r/RedPillWives | 26/02/22 12:04 AM
Tea TimeIt’s hard to realize that boundaries and friendships have to change after marriage. | /r/RedPillWives | 24/02/22 02:22 AM
Tea TimeNah. I had to quit hanging out with a group of mixed guy/girl friends after I realized that a couple of the guys thought I was cute. We used to all go get coffee together and chit chat. My H never wanted to come and now I get it as he felt ignored. H is the most important person in the world to me. | /r/RedPillWives | 23/02/22 09:47 PM
Tea TimeIt’s two nights and then he gets two nights. His mom is picking up the kids from school for one of those days (I just asked her because I don’t want a resentful spouse. In the past, he has offered to watch the kids on occasion during work hours but then got resentful. This feels like a trap). I know I really shouldn’t be worried about fairness. But still he doesn’t take into account all the parenting I do when he has business trips or has to work late. He doesn’t get that I can’t just take it fo… | /r/RedPillWives | 21/02/22 05:02 PM
Tea TimeI expressed a desire to go out of town by myself to sit in a hotel and do nothing. My husband got onboard and will be dropping the kids off at school and picking them up and taking some time off of work. Which is lovely. The problem is that the price is letting my husband go out of town for three days, which honestly is fine and he needs it, but at the same time I hate this tit-for-tat mentality that comes out whenever I ask for something like a night off or time to myself. I seriously have pare… | /r/RedPillWives | 21/02/22 08:12 AM
Tea TimeShe has a free The adored Wife group on Facebook and a Laura Doyle’s Secret Facebook Group that people can join monthly with their subscription to the ridiculously happy wives. I joined the adored wife group for 6 months and then joined the RHW as a Christmas gift. I’ll only be there for awhile. | /r/RedPillWives | 21/02/22 02:37 AM
How to stay motivated as a sahm?Read your posts. Are you me? That was me a couple years ago: H that worked 12+ hour days, alone at home with two kids <5, lockdown. It was lonely. I let things slide: I have had to chose to only clean the kitchen and make meals daily. I pick 1 or two other things (not rooms) to do as well. Other than that I play with my kids or relax and take care of me. My living room is currently covered in cut up bits of paper, markers, and other craft supplies. I chose to do things that bring me joy/calm: Le… | /r/RedPillWives | 18/02/22 09:41 PM
What can wives do to encourage spending quality time with their husband? Also, how do couples stay connected? I’m a huge fan of Laura Doyle’s book “The Empowered Wife,” because it helped me realize that I was doing a lot of complaining and criticizing and exerting controlling (to a man) behaviors. She explained why a woman should stop complaining, criticizing, and controlling (and what that means to a man) and how to communicate needs and wants differently and respectfully. I also listen to a podcast about connection called the Save the Marriage Podcast. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/02/22 05:11 AM
What can wives do to encourage spending quality time with their husband?I plan something fun and invite my spouse to join. It’s called a tag along. Sometimes he does and other times he doesn’t. Things we’ve done: Visit hot springs Go out to eat Grab a cup of coffee Ice cream We put 100 rubber ducks on a siblings porch for rubber ducky day (this idea came from looking at a list of national holidays for the month and picking a couple to randomly celebrate) A Bubble bath (my H hates baths so this was a big deal) Sleigh ride Aquarium I have also stepped away 1-2 times p… | /r/RedPillWives | 18/02/22 05:06 AM
Tea TimeI haven’t been downvoted here. I am willing to give marriage/dating advice but I have definitely learned to point others toward role models that have good marriages (Therapists/writers/coaches). I have tried a lot of self-help books and therapy and some of it was destructive. This year, I found some really good podcasts, coaches, therapists, and books that have helped me to have faith and hope that my marriage can be connected and joyful. I have made a 160 degree turn around in my marriage and I… | /r/RedPillWives | 17/02/22 03:04 AM
Tea TimeNah! I’ve been reading a lot of marriage advice and books and I’m really working on not badmouthing my spouse. I was part of an online marriage counseling and group coaching group so all my issues were getting ironed out. Now I am part of a Laura Doyle group and I’m learning about how to be respectful. Things are a lot better and I’ve still got some blind spots where I inadvertently act controlling. | /r/RedPillWives | 17/02/22 02:57 AM
Tea TimeSure. Not a lot of people post here regularly. It’s somewhat dead down here. | /r/RedPillWives | 17/02/22 12:15 AM

My defensive walls are ruining the potential for a good relationship..I feel like the best advice I have ever gotten is turn a complaint into a desire and express that desire in a kind way. Don’t criticize. Treat the other person like they are special and important, because they are and don’t ask “What’s in it for me?” Men don’t want to be our therapists and will shy away from long conversations about feelings that dig into the why behind how you reacted. It sounds like an excuse and it seems really disrespectful. How do you resolve past stresses and trauma? Thera… | /r/RedPillWives | 16/02/22 04:06 AM
Staying Together for the Kids“You broke up for a reason.” That right there. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/02/22 04:36 PM
Tea TimeThe book “The Empowered Wife” has some suggestions as well as the Laura Doyle podcast. My husband works a lot of overtime and it is seriously difficult. We don’t have a set date night, which has been hard for me. I do plan fun things to do and invite him to join me. I am working to stop any complaining/criticizing language while talking to my husband. Instead I ask what do I want and I try to frame my complaint as a request. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/02/22 03:18 AM
The one that got awayIf he wants you, he will chase you. You could express the desire to date him and then release control. Don’t move to where he is at (unless he asks you to) as that would be chasing him. I read the book “The Empowered Wife” by Laura Doyle and loved how she talks about what respect looks like to a man and how to express desires and receive graciously. I know she also has one called the “Surrendered Single.” Maybe that would be helpful. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/02/22 03:04 AM
Help: I've made a lot of mistakes; will my husband ever be okay, or did I break the relationship?Laura Doyle has a book called “The Empowered Wife” where she focuses a bit on what to say when our spouses deal out bait, which sounds like negative comments that are meant to get us into a debate/fight. You cheated, you apologized, he accepted the apology, you reconciled, and you have remained faithful. No one deserves to be raked over the coals a million times for something they did in the past that doesn’t reflect who they are now. Your spouse is throwing out mean comments and you don’t have … | /r/RedPillWives | 11/02/22 10:01 PM
Laura Doyle (Surrendered Circle)My mom paid for time to joint Laura Doyle’s ridiculously happy wolves club for a few months. It’s online (while heavily censored) does allow for women to discuss their wins and challenges. Two of my posts haven’t made it past the mods. As part of this club she also offers 15 group coaching phone calls/week. I had looked into doing a surrendered circle and the truth is I have no desire to know the marriage problems of the people around me as I’m already overwhelmed with my own. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/02/22 04:29 PM
Hi, I'd like to ask if there's any course you did in how to manage family finances?I love the book YNAB: you need a budget. For a time, I had the app, and had access to their online content. That said, my husband does the vast majority of the budgeting now. I told him I couldn’t do it anymore. I figure if something happens, I already have 18 years of practice budgeting and I’ll be able to reorient myself. | /r/RedPillWives | 09/02/22 08:41 PM
Just a quick question: What books are you all reading? For self improvement/marriage: “How to do the Work” “the 80/80 marriage” “The New Rules of Marriage” “The Empowered Wife” For fun “How to Stop Time” I need a new fiction read and have plans to go to the library | /r/RedPillWives | 09/02/22 08:36 PM
How do you control your anger?Self-care. Take care of yourself and make sure you don’t feel depleted. For me it’s taking a bath or a nap. Don’t join the argument. Give up the need to be right at all costs. 70% can’t be solved and are just fights about opinions. Listen just to understand or to just listen. “Yep. Uh huh. I hear you!” The other 30% use the word AND and state what you want. Don’t fight about the other persons perspective. What that looks like is my H says, “I think we should put the kids in their own rooms.” Wha… | /r/RedPillWives | 07/02/22 11:28 PM
How do you cover yourself in the event of a breakup while being traditionally feminine in a relationship? We got married. I worked full time until we had kids. No matter what H is legally and morally responsible for his children and he is deeply involved in their well-being. I maintained my license for 6 years and then Covid hit. I am looking at working part-time for the 2022-23 school year. My kids will be at school full time and I’m going to look at it as as a way to renew my license, which I maintain in-case life throws is a curveball. | 1 | Tea TimeMy parents are buying an investment/future retirement property on the other side of the county and they told 4/5 of the “kids” (my siblings) at a restaurant dinner that they planned. They forgot to phone the uninformed “kid” (family was sick). Oh boy! The situation devolved really quickly into criticisms and complaints, emotional spewing, and hurt feelings all around. It also started a process called colluding where siblings pick teams/sides. It was bad. I do want to congratulate myself for real… | /r/RedPillWives | 03/02/22 09:51 PM
How do I find married female friends like y’all in the wild? Before stay at home parenthood, I made all my friends at work. I’m on a few Laura Doyle Facebook pages. The adored wife. I have friends from HS and college that I have tried to reconnect with. | /r/RedPillWives | 03/02/22 05:01 PM
Tea TimeI want to go somewhere warm and sunny and stay for a few days or I want to dive north 90 min to some hot springs at sit for a few hours. I want to be warm/hot and see the sun. Can it be Saturday already? | /r/RedPillWives | 26/01/22 11:39 PM
How do I inspire appreciation? You could use the word “Ouch!” And leave it at that. Sometimes, the problem in arrive is wanting perfection and forgetting how good it already is. You can also just listen and say stuff like “uh huh” and “I hear you” even though you don’t agree. Being right is overrated. | /r/RedPillWives | 24/01/22 01:47 AM
How to attract a traditional masculine man?I met my husband at church and now he is secular so...? | /r/RedPillWives | 23/01/22 03:39 AM
Advice for being more attractive to my husband, while in a body he’s not entirely attracted to?Respect. Be respectful. Laura Doyle probably has the best explanation for what that means and looks like. Respect is like oxygen to men and when they feel respected they tend to respond more loving. The book “Love and Respect” was eye opening for me. Additionally, flirty talk “Hey, remember Tuesday when we ___? Well, I’d like to ____.” I’m terrible at the flirty talk and I get embarrassed easily which my H thinks is adorable. | 1 | Tea TimeThank you for that. I mostly wanted to vent. I definitely plan on cherry picking and only doing the things that are helpful to me. The whole Laura Doyle thing has been an ongoing discussion between my mom and I. | 2 | Tea TimeMy mom paid for me to join Laura Doyle’s ridiculously happy wives group. I’m annoyed by the censorship on her website: every post has to go through a moderator and follow a very specific format and you can’t share anything outside her 6 intimacy skills. I shared a quote from a really great book that I read and it got deleted. Also, I think people need additional help and support to deal with serious things like infidelity. | 7 | Nun mode.If you think he is cheating, get actual proof, then decide what to do. You cannot withhold sex and not ruin a relationship. It’s manipulative. For myself, cheating is a deal breaker. Get proof. If you want to be with him work on the connection. For a man, that means respect. That means not giving helpful comments like “I would do it this way.” It means listening and allowing him to have his own opinions and thoughts. It means reading Laura Doyle’s book “The Empowered Wife.” Sex disappeared at my… | /r/RedPillWives | 01/01/22 06:29 PM
Tea TimeIt takes me 10 minutes to drive to the next city. Two of my neighbors are my husband’s childhood friends and if I’m outside talking on the phone I feel like everyone can hear. If I’m in my house, then I know everyone in my family can hear. I know because one time my husband went downstairs to have a phone conversation about birthday surprises and I inadvertently heard what I was getting. Yeah, I don’t sleep naked. | 5 | Tea TimeI read the Empowered Wife and listened to a bunch of Laura Doyle’s podcasts. For sex, I sometimes take off my shirt to sleep. It usually works but not until the am (it definitely won’t work if my spouse has an early morning). | 9 | Don't know what to do anymore. I need help!Sounds like you’re not feeling desired or special. I’m not saying that you have to suck it up. I am saying that you may need to change your perspective and do things differently. I highly suggest “The Empowered Wife” by Laura Doyle. That book helped me a lot. | 2 | My husband doesn't have the 'man flu' he is seriously ill.A single hospital visit cost me 5k and I went through suicidal ideation and depression. It looks like a stroke. Bell’s Palsy is major Vagus nerve damage. The Vagal nerve controls facial muscles as well as hearing and helps the body regulate the fight/flight/freeze response. | 5 | My husband doesn't have the 'man flu' he is seriously ill. Those are just the reported cases. Harvard did a study on VAERS which represents only 1% of adverse events. Most doctors don’t even file. Look at the UK’s yellow card program and the rates of death among soccer/football players. He has this mentality that he can work his butt off all week and not connect with me and then come home, relax, we can have great sex, and he hang out with the kids and then do it all over again the next week. The poor Grinch was hurt and lonely. This spilled out as anger so he struggled to connect with other people. Things that are currently hard for me at the moment: feeling abandoned and ignored and angry and resentful and wanting to lash out. Going on fast paced walks when I’m upset or stressed, Yoga works really well for me as it forces me to inhale and exhale at a particular time, I recently started playing my flute again as it forces me to focus and breathe at specific times and really exhale all the air (some people do pranayama), exhaling through my mouth while making my cheeks puffy, singing while cooking dinner and humming Oh, Oo, Ah, Ay, Ee, Ommm… | /r/RedPillWives | 29/11/21 01:03 AM
