Yeah, it will remove most contaminants but if you're anywhere near industry you'd probably want to be careful given it can end up concentrating some contaminants

Oh, yeah, if you have equipment and an understanding of the stuff. My wife and I hike a lot and she knows as well as I how to use all the water filtration gear and to keep it going. Most people these days, unless they have a reason to, don't.

We're all noticing it because it's an ongoing pattern of behaviour where people demand men do x y and z because "this impacts other people". Usually there's a throwaway about it helping men as well, but it rarely comes across as sincere. If this genuinely isn't you, take it as a learning exercise of how it will might be received due to other attempts that use similar language but are...less concerned about the outcomes for men.

There have been no shortage of attempts to get men on board simply as a tool and a means to an end, rather than an end in themselves. Honestly, tailor the talk. If you're sharing this with men, tell them why they matter and why this will help them, and add in how it will help society as another element. Check out the Tough Guy Book Club. I had the same issue as you...I'm not broken, I don't need fixing, I just wanted to find a place to hang out with other guys who wanted the same. There's some guys there who have gone through some stuff, but, because it's not the purpose of being there, when it comes up there's the energy to deal with it because it's not the only thing anyone ever talks about.
