It is depressing, but honestly, a scarily high percentage of people will retaliate with lies, rumors, character assassination and seething hostility if you offend them by... having a different opinion and standing up for it.

I would say the reason he is out of touch is because he hasn't worked hard enough, by my own narrow definition of hard work admittedly lol. I guess an analogy I can highlight is, imagine a guy who got whipped up in the crypto craze, put in a few hundred bucks and managed to cash out at $10M, and therefore thought very highly of both cryptocurrency as an investment and inferred that he is very very smart. It's like, not really, you just got really lucky, dude lol. Which, great, by all means, live…

He played his cards right in that he has been able to become financially successful. That doesn't mean that he is virtuous, correct, reasonable, or in touch with 90% of Americans. And there is wisdom to be gained from construction/manual labor that'd be very hard to be gained elsewhere... respect for those who do it for one thing, an understanding of just how hard it can be to survive on a low wage, understanding the desperate need to improve healthcare in the US, and figuring out how to work wi…

I agree as well. I think the way to discuss this is, certainly any murder is bad, especially domestic violence situations (except for in rare cases of self-defense against unprovoked/unjustified violence). However, the general social narrative is that women are the victims and men are the monsters or potential monsters, and that is just not true, because most men are fairly normal and, as we can show, some women are monsters as well.

It is a bit mind boggling... sexual harassment of women outrages people, and rightly so, it's a horrific and awful thing that no one deserves regardless of how they are dressed or how late at night it is. However, it when women are harassed, the harassers face a real risk of potentially lethal violence from the majority of society, including intentional state actions... the Mumbai rapists, after all, were tried, convicted, and they executed by hanging, which even though I don't like capital puni…

Yeah, his "job" is basically to hang out with a bunch of people who agree with him, troll online, or occasionally yell at people who disagree with him. It is basically the same as having a social media addiction, but he somehow gets paid quite a lot for it. A few months of construction work for minimum wage with no benefits would probably change his opinion, if not a few weeks, or a few days lol. Honestly, maybe just a full 12 hour shift if it's for something that is not just physically demandin…

Yes, I mostly agree, there are certainly women who are kind and compassionate to men. However, we also need to recognize that the lack of empathy to men is not a small issue, nor isolated to strange or isolated segments of society. Just as there are problems that many, and not just some men need to work on, the same is true for women.

Yes, it's odd... you can't fire someone for filing a good faith and honest complaint, that's immoral and also retaliation. But if someone actually lies or engages in other forms of misconduct, yes, they need to be gone.

you don’t have to base your value on [how good or not you are at seducing women] No, but if enough of society does--and it damned sure well does--that is going to impact how successful you are with other things, what opportunities get steered to you, and frankly how much of your nonsense others put up with lol. So unfortunately, it's not that helpful if you are not successful with women but independently have high self-esteem.

the idea a man’s value is linked to how many women he bags Unfortunately, as foul as this concept would be in a just world, this very much seems to be the case. Part of it is probably because if you are very successful with women, you are almost certainly some combination of physically fit, financially successful, charming, and confident. You may also be a narcissistic master manipulator, but that seems to be excused if you are sufficiently successful with women. It really does make one want to …

Insecurity, self questioning which is healthy for the individium and helps with changing your own behaviour is not sexy for women. I remember hearing of a recent tiktok trend where girls ask their boyfriends if they could land a plane in an emergency. The answer is often yes, which is obviously overconfident, cocky, and ridiculous lol. I am a private pilot and I can land a little Cessna decently, but a big 747 or something? Not a chance, unless I had someone on the horn telling me exactly what t…

A woman actually working on herself and trying to figure out what the guys she's interested in are looking for and focusing working on those things is just being smart and pragmatic. That's excellent, and I mostly agree. I think that a lady who emulates a caricature of male behavior (burping, etc) in order to try and attract guys could be described as a pick-me, but probably isn't going to be picked by many men, and even then is going to be deep in the friendzone. You could almost call a guy a p…

An interesting thing is, if you ask someone who believes in the patriarchy what would evidence suggesting that there is no patriarchy look like, they usually can't answer. Thus, patriarchy theory becomes unfalsifiable and thus junk science. Or, if you point at theoretical things that evidence a lack of patriarchy--men dying younger and more violently, programs to get more women into college despite women being a strong majority in college (???), laws which explicitly favor women over men (the dr…

Last paragraph is straight troof. In fact, it's even more so if you generalize it: Some men use [insert immutable quality here] as an excuse for their lack of dating success, because it is outside of their control and therefore not really their 'fault'. If all of their problems can be blamed on [excuse], they don't have to consider that maybe they have other flaws and there's something they could improve. In fairness, being taller definitely helps, just as it helps to be more physically fit, bet…

In that case, I think your personal circumstances are so unique an unusual, that they have nothing to do with typical man-woman romantic relationships.

expecting her to only act on it with you is a bit silly. If she's the type to have sex early when she's instantly attractive that's fine just expect her to have a past. Not totally. If you find yourself really being her type, then she may not have had much of a past. Alternatively, if her type is "any guy who will give her the time of day" that is a red flag and probably a turn off. Now, the extreme redpill fantasy of expecting a nineteen year old fairy-virgin to suddenly fawn all over you once …

I mean it happens, and not just with women lol. There are many women I'd be open to dating and getting into a relationship, but there is also a very small fraction of women where the attraction and chemistry (physical attraction, personalities, lifestyle, etc) where it's more of a "you, yes, now" kind of thing lol. It's great to be in a relationship with someone you have immediate and instant attraction to, even better if it's both ways. And yeah, if you can't inspire that sort of instant want i…

Do you know how many jobs women aren’t given because they aren’t deemed as qualified. How do I know, cuz it happens to me all the time. Way more qualified than most of the men I am up against in a very specific male dominated field but because I am a woman, well sorry we feel this role is more suited for XY. I am certain that this happens a lot more than is acceptable, and I'm sorry that it happens to you. That said, this sort of thing is extremely illegal and if you can show that you are discri…

That's not even a feminist thing, I expect EVERYONE, except maybe for the Tate crowd, would correctly totally oppose that. But the draft just ain't a priority for anyone. And when there was talk of making it for both genders a few years ago lol, the sexism really came out

One thing I really despise is that many people seem to handwave the draft, in the US, as not being a big deal because it hasn't been used in a while. It was just barely fifty years ago, which is not ancient history, that's well within living memory, and it resulted in tens of thousands of very violent deaths, so it's not a non-issue. More importantly, even today, there are rather profound consequences for not signing up for the draft. If you do not sign up for the draft, you cannot get a driver'…

It honestly sounds like he might have been wearing a blanket and bouncing his leg, which is not only very legal and acceptable, but profoundly normal. So normal that it's not suspicious, let alone actual evidence of actual wrongdoing. And yet she claimed that he was masturbating. Now, let's be clear. There are some freaks and predators out there, who do masturbate in public and such. So it's not impossible, per se. But in a case like this, what do you do? You investigate. Not just the "victim's"…

How does hair come up organically while working/chatting? When it's not a nerdtastic aerospace engineer saying it? Honestly, now that I'm thinking through this, I may have made such comments on rare occasions at work... like if a buddy (male or female) changes something about their appearance, I might compliment or make a wisecrack about it. Or, if someone brought up a change in their own appearance or fished for a compliment, I'd take the bait. Technically, its psuedo-confirmation (Words, not a…

I really like the term "performative victimhood" because I think it explains a lot of otherwise unacceptable behaviors. Think about it... it's not acceptable to storm a government building (be it a national Capitol or a police station)... unless minorities are being brutalized or an election is being stolen. It's not acceptable to bomb Arabs unless they are on the verge of using WMDs or are terrorists. This sort of problem is not peculiar to feminists/feminism... it really does seem if you can c…

The incident on Saturday night reportedly kicked off after Ms Boebert drove to her ex-husband's home to pick up one of her sons, according to a source who spoke to the Daily Beast. Mr Boebert was reportedly home at the time, and tried to hug his ex-wife. She allegedly pushed him away. Mr Boebert then called Ms Boebert later that evening to apologize and asked if they could meet. The congresswoman reportedly agreed to the meeting, so long as it took place in public. The aide claimed that Mr Boebe…

Your marriage was definitely physically and emotionally abusive. The previous relationship you discussed also had emotionally abusive elements, as well as terrifying and shocking false allegations. Now, let's be clear, it's not your fault for having these things happen to you, and questions like "what did you do that led up to that" are similar to "What was she wearing when she was SA'd". Again, not your fault. In cases like what you've described, you've really got to nip it in the bud... set up…

Honestly, it could be, depending on the severity and expressions of passivity and showing emotion. For example, if you expect to be chased, or if you expect a guy to try harder if you turn your nose up at him, that's a pretty toxic expression of passivity, isn't it? (Not saying this is typical behavior among women, mind you, but it does happen sometimes--including to me at least twice off the top of my head!) As for showing emotion, if you flip out for the tiniest of provocations, or if you burs…
