I wonder why she had to emphasize gay men specifically. Why she couldn't just say "we love (all) men"? I think we know the answer.

Their counterargument will be : "but it's straight men who rape men, not gay men."

while all of you online debate a statistic??? If the numbers are wrong, then yes, it needs to be called out. some men say it's "only" 1,000 men in the Telegram chat, so it's much better than 62 million but do you realize that even a thousand men coordinating the drugging and raping of their wives is awful?? Both things can be true (and awful) at the same time, they are not mutually exclusive. Also, look up what feminists stand for, it's for equal rights. And most of them also minimize (if not di…

I love how it also implies that people who talk about men's issues (e.g., false accusations) are somehow automatically right-wingers or Trump supporters/conservatives.

Yep, sounds like my mom, just in a less extreme way, thankfully. "would only do it wrong Jeez! This is so dumb, and it pisses me off to no end. I mean, how can you even do housework wrong? It makes no sense. For example, when you use a vacuum cleaner, you don't need to be an expert or a master to use it. All you have to do is move the hose around/across the floor and let the device do its own thing. After all, it's called 'inhaler" in other languages (e.g., Romance languages). It is no wonder wh…

Not only that, but it also seems to be a projection. As in people who say "go to therapy" are actually the ones who should literally go to therapy. When you notice their (re)actions, it becomes obvious why that might be the case.

If only there was a word for a system of power that privileges a small collection of powerful men and a smaller collection of the women who support them, at the expense of the vast majority of women and the men who refuse to participate in it... There is already a word for that. It is called oligarchy/capitalism.

You forgot Maia Sandu from Moldova (2020-present)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/05/25 06:53 PM

These feminists seem to forget that male feminists get called soy boys, simps, etc. all the time by other conservative/RedPill men. So, no! Men don't listen to other men.

Recently, I started to think it's not a coincidence that Trump was elected in 2016, Biden in 2020 and Trump again in 2024. Think about it! Can you recall something as remotely misandrist that happened between 2018/19 and 2021 as it happened in 2014-2017 (e.g. GamerGate, manspreading, etc.) or 2022-present (e.g. forced vasectomy as a response to Roe v Wade, "man vs bear", etc.)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/03/25 07:13 AM

Some people will usually respond to this with "you're not entitled to sex/women's bodies" or something along those lines. I am curious what could be the best response to this argument.

This is a very sad situation we are in. The fact that most (young) men need to hear that they are actually good people and not evil just shows how low the bar really is.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/02/25 08:51 AM

Tbh, my comment was mostly sarcastic. I'm basically trying to point out the inconsistencies that many (male) feminists seem to have, including discussions about false accusations. For example, If another male celebrity was accused (whether it's falsely or not) of SA, Justin Baldoni (being a male feminist himself) wouldn't give that man the benefit of the doubt. However, because he's the one who experiences this, he suddenly cares about the issue and tries to solve it by suing Blake Lively.

I really love how people like you always come across this subreddit and feel the need to teach/educate us about these talking points as if we are too stupid to know about them. News flash, we are already familiar with these ideas. We keep hearing about them online, not only do we hear about them but there are so many interpretations/definitions that at one point they become very inconsistent. For example, you have to realize that your definition of male privilege does/might not correlate with ot…

I agree that a lot of African Americans are very socially conservative but this goes for both black men AND black women. I have seen so many examples of black women reinforcing traditional gender roles, homophobia by insulting other men (e.g. "sassy", "zesty", "gay", etc.)

I really don't care in the slightest about masculine identity. I think masculinity and femininity are flawed concepts. I'm a "just be a person" type. I identify as male, but have zero concern for whether any aspect of myself aligns with a masculine presentation or role. So I don't relate to your message in general. Personally, I kinda relate to this as well. but I think they hate me more than they hate the likes of Andrew Tate. Yep, I also started to believe this recently.

You forgot to add racism as another factor for false allegations and how black men specifically have been lynched in the past mostly due to false accusations of SA.

Terfs are active misandrists, much more so than your typical liberal pop feminists. True. But that's actually the problem tho. At least, I can expect TERFs to be bigots (that's their prerogative), but what excuse do so-called "liberal" feminists have when they still perpetuate gender essentialism/stereotypes? They should be better than that. Stuff like this makes me hate intersectional feminists more than I hate TERFs.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/06/24 10:42 AM

Actually you're kinda right, especially when it comes to black people. It is said that even though lots of black people vote Democrat, they are still holding socially conservative views.

That's why sometimes I have more respect for lesbians than I have for straight women. At least lesbians are more honest (and overt to some extent) about their sexual/romantic attraction towards other women. Meanwhile, straight women (at least some of them, no generalizations here) can barely say "I like men".
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates26/03/24 11:25 AM

I also realized they say nothing when a man cooks for her partner. Once again, these people are so inconsistent.

It might harm bisexual women (especially one who is in a relationship with a man). It might harm trans women (who are still perceived as "men" by lots of people regardless of their transition status). It might harm black women (which is not surprising considering that people tend to 'masculinize' black people a lot and sometimes racism and misandry go hand in hand).

Applying the privilege framework to sex/gender. How often do you hear "patriarchy hurts men too"? I hear it several times a day. How often do you hear "white supremacy hurts white people too"? I've literally only heard it once in my entire life, from a spiritualist saying that white people don't want to talk to their ancestors because they're ashamed of them. Sexism simply doesn't work the same way as racism. Thank you! Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this inconsistency between racism and …

You need to acknowledge most of that rape is still being done by men and not by women. Only if you define rape exclusively as "penetration".

Oh, and you can find a lot of whining about those downvotes as "proof men don't want to understand or care about women" lol. LOL, this is delusional. To give an example of what I mean, yesterday I was on an r/AskMen thread about men's thoughts on misandric women. One of the men there said he had been the victim of CSA by women, but he held no hatred towards female humans as a whole. Can you send me a link to that comment on DMs, please?

I've seen good takes in the ask feminists sub from time to time, for example most of them called out Amy Schumer's """"""funny"""""" story of fucking a drunk dude as rape That's just doing the bare minimum (at least according to THEIR standards). I don't know how and why but I've come to a point when I'm no longer glad that feminists acknowledge the existence of male victims/female perpetrators.

Are men also given a pass to be mean or rude to women too? Only if the man is either white, straight, cis, or high-status (or all of them combined) and the woman is either black, gay, trans, or low-status.

Looks like these people who spew this talking point seem to forget that false accusations of SA/rape were rampant during Jim Crow. And obviously, the group of people most affected by lynching were African-American men and boys.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/10/23 09:59 AM

She actually doesn't seem to have much animosity towards men and boys at all and was ironically "cancelled" for speaking out against the danger of false accusations against men. That's interesting. Is there a video or a blog of her talking about those things?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/09/23 08:27 AM

I think it's funny that women who are repeating that statement ad nauseam are usually white and upper/middle-class (a.k.a. the group of women who is LESS likely to face that sort of problem that's described)

I think it's very sad that this is happening. It was one of the only groups/subreddits where men's issues are discussed from a "balanced" viewpoint (without the influence of the tradcon RedPillers and the influence of wokescold-ish feminists). Altho, I understand the decision. I can imagine how stressful it can be for someone moderating a subreddit. And the fact that someone can come up with this BS (referring to the CEO of Reddit or whatever they are called), says a lot about their intentions.

I'm curious to hear about any subtle misandry that you faced in your schooling years. One time in 6th grade or something, my geography teacher told a girl who disrupted the class (as far as I remember): "you're just as mean/bad as other boys"
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/06/23 11:21 PM

Because it gives people "ammo"/justification to ignore male victims.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/04/23 09:20 PM

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/04/23 01:09 PM

Accusations don't even need to happen. It doesn't even matter if they're as rare as the people who downplay their relevance say they are. The threat of them is enough to have a massive effect on men's life experience and society. Preach! I hate when people claim that false accusations are rare as if that was the main problem to begin with.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/04/23 10:33 AM

Argument was that man should cross a road when he sees lone woman walking in his direction to show he is not a threat I have a feeling that these people will not be consistent. They won't be so charitable to a man who is wary of women just because he was sexually assaulted by a woman before.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/02/23 12:32 AM
22

To be fair, it's actually kinda refreshing when people admit who they REALLY are.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/02/23 11:42 AM

but be consistent with it Well, you see, that's the problem with these people. They are never consistent with their ideas/beliefs.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/02/23 02:54 PM

He even relates his own very specific experience of this happening to him (an incredibility privileged person) as an argument of how when it happens to men its just kind of funny and no big deal. Survivorship bias at its finest

It reminds me of Alyssa Milano who only cared about men being falsely accused as long as it was Joe Biden being accused.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/02/23 09:11 PM

These stories make me think that Terry Crews (for example) got sympathy from other people only because his assaulter was a man. If his assaulter was a woman tho, he probably wouldn't have received the same level of sympathy as he had received at that time.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/01/23 10:33 PM

You can tell them that unlike white people men do face issues at a systemic level and not just at an individual level. And some of these issues resemble the very same issues faced disproportionately by black people. (e.g. jail sentencing gap, incarceration, the "violent/predatory" stereotype, etc.)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/01/23 10:26 PM

And these people will still claim that misandry doesn't exist. It's like the "Patrick and Man Ray" meme.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/01/23 01:03 AM

This is so true! I mean we repressed homosexuality for centuries/ages for god's sake. And by "we" I mean people who might have been gay if it wasn't for homophobia. Therefore, biological drives can be repressed (for a lack of better term). And yet when it comes to stuff like these, we'll be like "well, it's just a biological drive so why bother?"

constantly being told that their sexuality is predatory. I'm not sure if I can agree with that unless you're referring to feminist spaces exclusively.

If that's the case, then please keep the same energy for female criminals, trans criminals, etc.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/12/22 02:22 PM

How much you wanna bet those are the same people who remind everyone that we shouldn't misgender trans people who are criminals (e.g. Jessica Yaniv)? The reason I'm asking that is because some of them might say "well, Andrew Tate is a bad person so why should I care whether or not people body shame him".
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/12/22 10:20 AM

He asked how to make suicidal men with "problematic" views change their mind. Because apparently, his goal isn't to save those men but to turn them into feminists. If that's the case then they should be ashamed of themself.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/12/22 12:46 AM

It can also be expected from conservatives, that they think traditionalism is good and should be enforced...that's just how conservatism works. I don't really get mad at those people for perpetuating gender traditionalism. It's what you expect from them and they don't claim to be better than that. Yep! It's like being scared by a haunted house vs. being scared by a "normal"/"regular" house.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/12/22 11:38 PM

I mean, some of them will probably tell you that they're gay. You don't have to watch them doing *something*. Not to mention that being gay means (first and foremost) being attracted to people of the same sex/gender as you.

"Low-value" or even "low-status". Or maybe they are the same thing.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/12/22 11:01 AM

Feminists would never say "coloured person". They'd use "person of colour". What's the difference that makes the former so offensive and the latter benign? It's the fact that you specify the person first in the latter, while you specify the skin color in the former.

Unless the same hypersexual male stereotype implies to gay men too. And people automatically expect gay men to be sex craze too. This makes perfect sense. Why do you think homophobes associate being queer with having sex? As if straight people (or women) don't have sex.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/12/22 01:43 PM

There is something I don't understand about male feminists. They will always claim (just like any other feminist) that men are so powerful and can produce positive change for other people including men. But here's my question: if men are so powerful in society, why don't male feminists use their power/privilege to help other men when they struggle with something (rape, DV, depression, etc.) and create a shelter/safe space for these men? I mean male feminists are also men, right? Unless they know…

On a broader sense, people that complain about a problem often don't realize that they are part of the problem too, but they are too self righteous and vain to realize it. It has always been like this. People tend to complain about the same problems they perpetuate/reinforce. Whether it's directly or indirectly.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/12/22 12:42 PM

So if historically women’s perspectives were never heard and men’s were it needs to be completely reversed and men’s perspectives need to be completely removed / silenced. Because we had it good for so long you see… Which doesn't make any sense. People who live today, in 2022, are not the same as people who lived 6-7 centuries ago. And I think this could be a perfect rebuttal/counterargument/etc. to this brain cell-killing talking point.

A much more overtly depraved example was a video I saw on r/HolUp some time ago (and consequently got into a pretty heated argument with a user over it) where there was a video that masterfully demonstrated the way boys and put down and socialized not to show emotion and how abusive and harmful this is...only to end with the point that this needed to be stopped because those abused boys would grow up to harm women. "Let's help men because it helps/it's convenient (for) women. Not because it help…

I remember a post by a guy expressing how a lot of women in his experience are emotionally abusive (I share that experience, I think plenty of men do) and of course there was a man saying "how about we as men focus on taking responsibility for ourselves and on being the best partner we can be, instead of blaming women. " and of course he was getting all the likes/upvotes and attention from the ladies. Can you please tell me which subreddit it was? And what's the title of the post?

Attractive, tall, (usually) white, Ivy League / top tier education, rich family background, extremely lucrative job, (likely) in a management role. But, again, the men who are supposedly the targets of all this, they're not listening, they don't care, they won't let it stand in the way of whatever they want to do. Yep. Two - that's completely stupid. If it was true, only good men would be in relationships, and you wouldn't hear all the time "my bf is an asshole" and so on. The fact that so many women complain that their sex-friends/bfs/husbands/paramours are complete jerks shows that one's "kindness" or "morality" is not a criteria for entering a relationships. TRUUUUEEE! I mean look at Andrew Tate a.k.a. a misogynist guy who still gets laid (or used to get laid, I'm not entirely sure).

Jesus! Those are statements coming from an ignorant person. Especially the fact that she indirectly compared being male with being white/straight. I'm glad you're no longer friends with that "thing"
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/10/22 07:34 PM
3

Depends on the individual, personally if someone told me that IMD is pointless, I might assume they don't have empathy for/care about me (as an individual or as a man) or men in general. It's almost like someone claiming that gay pride is pointless without realising the main point of the pride and its historical context. Why should I spend.... I mean WASTE my time hanging out with this kind of people?

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/10/22 05:08 PM

It's almost like they claim that literally all women are left-leaning. Which is not true.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/22 11:04 PM

This is such an arbitrary and inconsistent concept. They wouldn't apply this to Asian-Americans (or Asians in general); Hispanics; Native Americans; etc. e.g. "only black people can experience racism because it's systemic" So why would they apply this to men?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/10/22 10:25 PM

Like how people can have BIASES against a specific group of people (specifically a group of men)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/09/22 02:34 PM
8

I feel like you missed my point. What I was basically trying to say is that it's very easy for certain people to say such a thing because they never/no longer had/have to live in an environment or a situation where they face those struggles.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/09/22 02:03 PM

"Don't just look for sex" "Sex doesn't matter" Says the person who probably has sex constantly. It's like a rich person telling a poor person that money is not important and they don't matter.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/09/22 10:20 AM

Just because certain individuals from a specific group care about something, doesn't mean that the entire group cares about that thing. It's like saying: "There are christians who care about gay people/accept homosexuality, therefore Christianity is pro-LGBT.

I started to realize something: Some of these people who are so biased against lonely/shy/unmasculine etc. men are the same individuals who probably have never had to deal with being lonely which makes them speak from a place of privilege. This is ironic cause those are the same idiots who constantly tell others to "check their privilege"
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/09/22 10:43 AM
3

Good analogy
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/09/22 10:24 AM

Sometimes I wish these people were very direct and overt with their misandry so we can point it out directly and see who these people really are. It's like the difference between a haunted house and a house that happens to be haunted from time to time.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/09/22 10:20 AM
5

Isn't it ironic that these people (supposedly progressive/woke/"wokescold") might have such an opinion about women and even other minority groups? As if they're incapable of having agency/forming their own thoughts. I say "might" because their bigotry is so subtle that it's very hard to point out directly. It reminds me of a video made by Aba & Preach as they were responding to H3H3 and they were talking about subtle racism vs overt racism (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl-0qmRJKHg&ab\_channel…

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates10/09/22 11:45 AM

I hope you notice the inconsistency here. First, you say that women can be misogynistic but then when it comes to men experiencing misandry, all of a sudden that's impossible because it's men vs men. The point being: men can be misandrists too
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/09/22 01:40 PM

As for the police system, consider that in some places males can be placed in women's prisons on the basis of self-ID. That's a more desirable environment for a rapist don't you think? It sounds like you're implying that every single male person placed in a women's prison is a potential rapist
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/07/22 09:14 AM
5

I feel like the entire discussion about male suicide or suicide in general is very U.S.-centric. Anytime someone spews this rhetoric that "actually women attempt it more" I just assume they mean "men use guns therefore they are more successful". The problem with this rhetoric is that it doesn't take the rest of the world into account. For example, many European countries don't have the same access to weapons as the U.S. has and yet, men still commit suicide more and not only that but the gender …

But why would a predatory man dress up as (trans) woman when he can just enter the ladies' room without any problem? Do you think (if he gets caught obvs) he will receive less jail time because he pretended to be trans/a woman. I appreciate the fact that you're being consistent with your ideas, beliefs, etc. Unfortunately, most people out there are not going to be consistent.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/05/22 08:19 PM

One reason: INCONSISTENCY If a man were to say that he's been sexually abused by several women in his life and therefore he's aware of all women, people would probably react differently. And thus, it creates an inconsistency among people.

Everything thats been banned on reddit will exist for all time on the internet on archive sites. Their failed attempts at censorship will only inspire more people. You can't kill an idea. In other words, the Streisand effect.

the intersection of people who support mens rights, Egalitarianism, communism, veganism and LGB/Trans/Enby is very small, so I get bashed by all sides lol. It is very sad that this is the case. I believe certain things shouldn't even be polarized in the first place.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/04/22 09:17 AM

I've said this before, men being socially conditioned not to complain about certain stuff and the "men are the oppressors/women are the oppressed" dichotomy are the two main reasons why people don't take men's issues seriously.

It is so stupid that they only take men's issues into account if they harm someone specifically (e.g. trans men etc.) And NOT if they harm men IN GENERAL (whether they are gay/straight; cis/trans; white/black/asian/hispanic etc.)

I would say another reason for that is heteronormativity. Which is basically the societal idea/assumption where being straight is the default and heterosexuality is the only ('normal') sexuality that exists. What pisses me off about this discussion is that some people argue that heteronormativity (or 'comp-het' as what they describe as well) ONLY harms women which is inaccurate because everyone is expected/assumed to be straight. There was even a TikTok (I don't know if I have the link) made by …

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/03/22 10:45 AM

Then "phobia" isn't the proper word for it. Do you have any idea how many words have changed their meaning/form over time? So why should 'phobia' be held on a different standard?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/03/22 10:29 PM

Then by this logic, we should get rid of 'hydrophobe' and 'hydrophile' in the context of chemistry.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/03/22 10:27 PM

Transphobia doesn't just mean fear. I don't understand why people still make this argument. I'm really tired of it. It also means prejudice, bias, discrimination against trans people.

I feel like people missed an important point here: TheTinMen doesn't just raise awareness about men's and boys' issues. He also calls out feminists' hypocrisy/inconsistency. Just like in this post. How many times have you noticed feminists being like: "it's not a man's place to tell a woman what's her experience" / "they shouldn't have a say whether what she does with her body or not"? But they don't apply the same logic to men's struggles. They believe they should be talked about through femini…

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/01/22 08:36 PM

As a Romanian man, I wonder if those people are going to be consistent with me as either being xenophobic or misandrist. BTW, I'm at least happy that more and more people start to realize that xenophobia against Romanians is not cool. I was tired of seeing my fellow romanians being called "Gypsies"; "thieves"; "beggars", etc.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/01/22 02:28 PM

It also reveals an inconsistency: When gender roles have a negative effect on women, it's called (internalized) misogyny. When gender roles have a negative effect on men, it's called toxic masculinity.

Because gay men are not seen as "ordinary men" in society's minds, rather being an opressed group in their own right. Not "real men", if you pardon me, for saying this. (I personally, think that division is stupid. Gay problems are men's problems because gay guys are men) It's indeed stupid. And the reason why gay men are not seen as "ordinary men" is that heteronormativity and gender expectations/stereotypes go hand in hand (e.g. being attracted to men is a woman's job while being attracted to …

In other words, they want to have their cake and eat it too.

I think the issue here is that there are still people out there who still hold rigid ideas of what a man or a woman is. Therefore, according to them pre-op trans people or simply trans people who haven't undergone bottom surgery are not the real gender they claim to be. e.g. women with penises are not real women; men with vaginas are not real men etc. Trans people may not undergo SRS for plethora of reasons and most of them can be valid (for example, SOME trans individuals may not feel dysphoric…

They absolutely do. In reply to, "It's not misogyny. I love women. I just hate feminism," a user there said; That's an oxymoron. It's like saying "I'm not a racist. I love Black people. I just hate the BLM!" You are a misogynist, you're just in denial. Imagine comparing feminism with BLM or black civil rights' movement and LGBT community or gay civil rights' movement. /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/09/21 12:21 PM

Personally, I find the "it's just your sexual orientation" reply/argument kinda stupid. It doesn't take a lot of factors/things into account. There are gay men who were assaulted by other men (regardless of sexuality). Doesn't mean they have enjoyed it. There are straight women who were assaulted by men. Again, doesn't mean they have enjoyed it. And so on. Yet, we don't apply the same argument/logic to them, do we? It's not like, for example that gay men can't feel the same about (straight) wome…

This idea that men choose more violent methods is so north american-centric. Here in (Eastern) Europe, people don't have easy access to guns. I think when people say that gender is a social construct what they mean is that it's not very rigid and that there is an arbitrary line which is not set straight etc. A social construct is basically something that it's created (unconsciously or not) and interpreted through social communication or language even if that construct is/might be based on a real/physical thing. Like a tree. The tree in and of itself is physical, it does exist but our interpretation of it is socially constructed along …

Probably, she was trying to say: "ONLY cishet white men". But she used a dog whistle or something like that instead. At least, that's my interpretation.

IKR! What's even ironic is that some of these people also complain about: "Only cishet white men are seen as real men." Hmmm, I wonder why? 🤔 Addendum: there are multiple reasons for this, obvs. But it seems that we found a new reason.

This doesn't even make sense! She's basically implying that trans men are not real men. Which is transphobic (IMO). This is basic logic: 1.Kill ALL men; 2.Trans men are men, in conclusion: kill all men including trans men. I guess this is called double think or something like that. And as far as I'm concerned they do the same thing with other men of different backgrounds: black men, gay men. So, what they're basically saying is: kill all cishet white men.

I wonder where did they get those statistics from?

I find it ironic that feminists don't take this intersectionality into account. Issues (e.g. police brutality, jail sentencing gap, mass incarceration etc.) that are more likely to affect black people are also more likely to affect men.

People like you are one of the reasons why men don't talk about their feelings/problems or come forward to talk about their abuse/sexual assault. You really do enjoy downplaying men's issues, don't you?

Is it just me getting tired of these writers discovering this stuff for the first time like it's brand new knowledge, and only after it starts affecting women and girls? Nope, you're not alone. I am also getting tired of it.

You don't even get the point, do you?

Addendum: have you ever had this feeling before? I feel like we should have thought about this. Some people* would rather be edgy trolls and that doesn't help our cause. *Edit: I'm referring to people who are anti-feminists just for the sake of that. Or just because they think leftists dare to challenge (rigid) gender roles.

Luckily for me, I've rarely encountered this type of people. But the fact there are people out there who unironically believe those things, it's so scary to me.

And people wonder why men don't talk about their emotions/issues! Most people simply don't care so why should they expect me (for example) to care about their issues?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
