The dude wasn’t defending the kid, he also tried to kill the child because he saw it as an “affair”, not child rape. He’s just as scummy.

“Regarding injury, men were more likely to inflict injury than were women”. “Approximately 1.5 million women and 835 000 men are physically assaulted or raped by intimate partners in the United States annually”. Looks like you intentionally left those parts of the study out of your comment.

Don’t bother, they just want to be right and have no interest in actually hearing your side of it.

Except all they see is the asshole and not the good traits (adventurous, attractive, impulsive, interesting, enigmatic, etc.) that attracted those girls to begin with. They don’t bang him because he’s an asshole or like being treated poorly, they bang him because of all the other traits he has and subsequently decide they’ll put up with assholery (which is where it gets dumb but being young and dumb isn’t immoral, whereas actively hurting people is). So when a “nice guy” who thinks just existing…

Where exactly did you get that 90% from? Stop pulling numbers out of your ass and using it as a justification to generalize half the population because actual peer-reviewed studies completely contradict what you say. Most women do not act in the same way, being that there are billions of them from different races, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds in the world. What makes you think attractive men don’t treat unattractive women with indifference and derision? Or is it that you don’t even th…

Oh yeah, I have a zero tolerance policy with lvm. The first line they cross, I’m out and when they ask “wHy?” I bluntly answer the question on my way out. Your post makes sense from your perspective.

Idk about that. I want guys to know exactly why they lost me. For me it’s a declarative statement, not a debate, so he doesn’t get to answer back. “I am leaving you because you cheated, because you don’t pull your weight around here and I’m tired of you bringing me down, because I don’t date sexist men”. Its essentially “it’s not me, it’s you and I’m going to be very clear about that with a short terse sentence before walking out and blocking for good.

This is so disgusting. Is this really how the average Jamaican thinks? Because if so, I just became a little more grateful to live where I am.

Yeah gen X has always been problematic. The 80s was rampant with misogyny coupled with a giant push back against women’s lib (and progressivism in general). Male gen x-ers are even responsible for killing Woodstock for all future generations because they couldn’t stop raping women and setting shit on fire (Woodstock 1999).

Exactly. They see how patriarchy and their complacency in it robbed them of their life so it burns them to watch younger women actually living/enjoying their own life instead of being married off at 19.

Agreed, and I’m for using birth control (IUDs were a game changer for me). It’s just if for whatever reason a woman finds herself pregnant by a lvm, she doesn’t have to go through with the pregnancy. Too many women end up going through with it and have their lives permanently altered because they think they don’t have any other choice when there is nothing wrong with abortion. The idea that abortion is wrong is based purely on a religious construct.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/12/20 03:40 PM

I wish abortion wasn’t so stigmatized, that is an option if a lvm tries to trap a woman.

That’s why I never want to have a boy. No matter how hard I try to raise him to be a decent person, he’ll always have his little buddies and society in general influencing him to be an entitled asshole. It’d be such a headache to have to constantly fight that.

Oh yeah I’m aware, I just don’t put up with it when I encounter it. I even cut off my little brother permanently because of it. Even if it’s my boss, I quip back and make it sound professional enough to where he can’t get me for it. I also log any incident and if I start to see a pattern of behavior in my logs, Im prepared to email them right to all the higher ups/HR. Once there’s a paper trail they do a 180 in how they handle it. Haven’t been fired yet 🤷‍♀️

Abusive men don’t just withhold sex, they couple that behavior with emotionally/financially/sexually/physically abusive actions as well. Calling the act of withholding sex alone, even if the partner refuses on a regular basis, abuse is problematic because bodily autonomy is our most basic right.

Misogynists and their pick mes are more likely to raise a rapist than parents who teach their children to respect and treat everyone equally. But yes rapists are ultimately responsible for their actions.

I know this doesn’t apply to everyone, but for me, none of those feelings went away until I publicly called out my abusers. Therapy helped manage those feelings for years, but no amount of therapy in the world was going to overcome the fact that I was still holding on to the burden by keeping the secret while they were out living their lives. So I told. I told everyone in their communities what they are. Some believed me, others stuck by them, but no longer holding on to that secret alone and ge…

A self proclaimed strong independent woman probably isn’t one. Part of being strong and independent is having the strength to leave when being taken advantage of. Strong independent women simply show that through their actions by not putting up with unbalanced relationships and overall shit behavior. Traditional gender roles don’t make everyone happy though. I really hate cooking and cleaning so I found a man that does 90% of it (including deep cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning,…

Yup, it starts with the trivialization of nuanced sexism. Left unchecked, it spirals into full blown civilizations where men can marry literal children, publicly sexually assault women, and use rape as weapons of war all with impunity.

Exactly. I used to actually advocate for men’s mental health along with feminist ideals until men showed me just how much they don’t actually care about their “mental health” (which is why you don’t see them putting in any effort to create supportive networks amongst each other). They don’t want an egalitarian society where they can actually express emotions rationally without judgement. They want women to be legal minors again so their life is easier. You’re familiar with the rationale but you don’t understand it. When it comes to cold approach, many women simply will not risk their safety to be honest. They can’t tell you apart from a psychopath. It doesn’t matter if it’s not all men when it’s enough men to where most women have had to get out of a dangerous situation for being honest with the wrong guy. Women want to take 0% chance that they’ll end up in the hospital over a harsh but true rejection, and that takes priority over your potenti…

Nope, not me. I will not allow men to dictate my relationship. I will not settle for a man I only kind of like. I will only seriously date a man I want. If he isn’t ready for a serious relationship when I want it, I stop seeing him and move on to another man I want. I did that enough times to where I found my ideal partner. If you’re privileged enough to be from a country where women have equal rights at least on paper, it doesn’t have to be this way.

The getting “thousands” is based on his income, it wasn’t because of his neglect, and it was mentioned to show how much money he had to fight this over her. The point is my aunt’s experience of getting full custody, half of everything, and child support is not uncommon with proof of abuse (yes, starving your child and letting them sit in their own mess as they cry is legally considered abuse). Your experience isn’t everyone else’s either. I’m insisting that women have other options besides stayi…

If you come home to a sobbing, hungry, and thirsty baby with a horrific diaper rash, document it all and report him for abuse. If you don’t want to go that far, threaten to divorce him and file for full custody due to evidence of abuse. Forcing them will either make it so they step up or that you can document neglect/abuse/etc. and come out on top in the divorce. No one has to put up with a man baby
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/10/20 09:47 PM

Of course most men don’t do their fair share, thats why they need to be forced. If mom wasn’t there, would he really let his child starve and develop diaper rash? I doubt it. He actually doesn’t want to properly take care of his own child? Document the neglect and threaten to file for divorce due to an abusive household. Women always have more options than just doing the work for him and shrugging.

With the exception of abusive relationships, I don’t see why this would have to happen. I truly don’t understand how women don’t just let their husbands starve and wallow in their dirty laundry when they refuse to help with cooking and cleaning. Why is it her responsibility to make sure the kids are looked after all the time? Why can’t she just drop their child in his lap and go to work? Why can’t she tell him “I’m under no circumstances quitting my job, so we need to figure out splitting child …

Yes you do, you do not meet the worst/most annoying sides of someone until you live with them. A two week vacation with dinners and room service is no indication to how they will act on a day to day basis at home. They could secretly be slobs, controlling, lazy with household chores/child rearing, hiding debt/bad credit, or straight up abusive and you wouldn’t know it for years because their home is separate from yours.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this. You cannot see a man’s true colors until you live with him. LVM masquerading as HVM can easily hide who they really are when they have a place to take their mask off every night. There are way too many horror stories of women who married seemingly HVM just to have them do a 180 after the wedding night. No one can keep a mask on forever, so living with them for at least 6 months is the only way to really see who they are. Red flags will start to slip out if th…

I honestly can’t tell if you’re reaching for something or if you genuinely don’t understand what consent is. You were so drunk that you barely remember anything and that you couldn’t really walk, which is why he had to literally take you somewhere. You can only give consent if you say yes and are of sound mine when you say it. Not saying no is NOT consent. Even if you had slurred something along the lines of “yes”, you still can’t consent because you’re intoxicated. A 14 year old saying “yes” to…

This is clearly 100% sexual assault and if he penetrated you in any way, it’s rape. I know you said you don’t want to do anything about it, but that guy is 100% a sexual predator and he WILL do this again to someone else. If you don’t want to press charges, maybe at least warn the other girls around you about him.

Yep I lost a best friend that way too, but she went beyond neglecting our friendship. She was too scared and brainwashed to direct the negative energy she received right back at her abusive bf so she’d lash out at me instead because she knew she could. She finally decided to leave and I picked her up in the middle of the night and helped file a police report. A week later and she’s back with him, voluntarily dropping the charges, and lashing out at me again for not “supporting her relationship” …

Yes. My ex best friend was like this. She was too afraid and brainwashed to fight back against her abusive bf so she’d lash out at me instead because she knew she could. I dealt with it until he beat her so bad, he put her in the hospital. I drove 3 hours in the middle of the night to help her make a report at the police station.
