Horrible situation all around. I hope the guy holds frame and cancels the wedding. Not exactly the same, but I did have a girl who tried to make me jealous which worked at first but made the relationship quite toxic. It's a huge shame, as I otherwise liked her a lot. In retrospect she might have just wanted me to make a bigger move because we were kinda stalling, but it kind of felt like she was either on the fence or moving away, which is definitely not inspiring.. I'm probably at fault too, lo…

I definitely shouldn't spend hours watching videos finding out if someone is a narc or avoidant, but man this girl. Should've listened to my instincts when the behavior was off. It was the little things that didn't really add up. If anyone's wondering, she consistently was incredibly socially passive, but also unapologetic and lacking self awareness. Something about her felt like she was constantly fishing for responses, never taking her own initiative.

Would you say the same for women?

My hope (I'll accept cope too) so far was that she was trying to make me jealous, but that could work too. It also feels like a huge shame because I liked her personality as much as I liked her looks.

Sometimes I wonder how much of the dating mess is caused by actions and reactions. For me it was the second girl I seriously liked, when another guy asked her, she just went with it like I wasn't even in the room, after she told me no in the past. It was a year after I asked her but it still stung like hell, and strangely enough the next time we met for class she initiated touch, probably because I ignored her. The friendship (if it ever was?) went downhill as I became a bit of an ass to her, ch…

Just do some cold approaches, it's fun. Pull a hottie and he won't cancel anymore.

I think you're my type :)

Yeah that's why I don't participate even when I'm genuinely interested. Honestly, many posts start as a "not exactly right but not exactly wrong either" but the replies can be.. ouch. I think there's plenty of people that come for here just for that though. Despite that it's still lovely to hear from the serious posters.. until they disappear :D

Reflecting back on a relationship, my behavior was kinda shitty as I went cold and stonewalled a bit. But it was felt also very difficult to give because we had a fight and for a while she was very cold and distant with me, but also very warm and friendly with other guys. This led me to unintentionally punish her the next time she initiated and the cycle kinda continued. In retrospect I regret not being more proactive but also, I just didn't feel her being in that much.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
