Ok. Thanks for fleshing that out. This is something I need to work on. I'll keep this in mind.

let me get this straight - you agreed with him (even though you actually think he is wrong) and then gave him bullshit advice to feed his ego? That is the machiavellian part? When I encounter this kind of thing I just dismiss the moron. Why even take the time to feed him? Not somebody I'd like to hang around. I'm just wondering.

Thanks a lot, I've been trying to correct the hollow back. I've got a handle on my shoulders, and I've been working on core but the back stuff has been elusive. I feel so much more confident walking with my chest out. I am more confident and so I walk with my chest out. It's a good feedback loop. I've noticed that the kind of shoes I'm wearing impacts my ability to stand up properly a lot.

I have a copy and read it occasionally. I have many pages bookmarked and I go back and read certain sections. I don't think a cover to cover approach is best, try skimming.

I volunteer at homeless shelters, soup kitchens, an environmental advocacy group and with a local artist studio/art gallery. I meet babes all the time, and mostly they are just the type I like: caring, emotionally intelligent, hard working, and with life experience. I do volunteering because I enjoy it and I learn a lot. The other day I went to a local plant nursery to browse while I took a break from volunteering in the kitchen after cooking a dinner at a local church. I was in a great state of…

A longtime friend of mine, we had previously been romantically entangled, recently came on to me. For the past week things had been heating up between us and a lot of innuendo going back and forth. I engaged, but every time I walked her back to her dorm room, I would excuse myself and never stay late into the evening. I would talk about girls I had dated on campus, and she would do the same about guys she had hooked up with. I never reacted or got jealous cause as others said here, I have the ab…

I struggled with this for a while. It's not your responsibility to say hi to everyone and saying hi and getting no response feels shitty. As I have gotten more focused on my development and keeping busy with appointments and volunteer stuff all over town, I pay much less attention to the strangers/acquaintances around me, I don't care or am often too busy to notice. I am dressing better, I'm fit and in shape and I find people approaching me, not the other way around. I say hi if I feel like it a…

Campuses generally have nice lawns, wooded gardens and such. I brewed my own coffee and brought it in a thermos and we would have regular coffee dates on campus. She loved it, it became a thing and she liked my taste in coffee. Other date: we went off campus to a local park within walking distance.

I hear a lot of shame in your post. Like you aren't worthy of being loved, that you don't like yourself. Nothing will change without you taking action. Start somewhere with yourself. "Getting" or "having" one of the women you admire won't fix anything. This is a longer term problem and there is a lot of good advice here that I won't repeat. Good luck.

I go to a much much smaller campus. I stopped doing cold approaches because I asked a girl out, got rejected, and then experienced the awkwardness of bumping into each other a dozen times a week. But you can use this factor to your advantage. It is much better to join clubs, start study groups for your classes, go to school events and you will eventually start encountering some of the same people again and again. The serendipitous nature of these meetings in different settings only works to your…

I read your post and the replies, here is what I say to you: Loneliness sucks. It really eats at you and puts a strange tinge to depressive angst. Accept that. Part of being human is learning how to be alone. You need to explore your humanity and ask the biggest questions you can think of regarding what you want from yourself and life. Read books, listen to Alan Watts on youtube, get high/stoned, do high intensity workouts, tackle life. It's hard work and there is no shortcut I've found to help …

well yes and no. Women can also use more powerful body language, it's not gender specific. I'm not an expert, just getting to comfortable with the level of interaction I described has been some work. good luck

Ok, I feel you. I've never been super comfortable with people touching me, so touching others doesn't come so easily to me. I've started modifying my body language, being more open and powerful (relaxed, take up max space, engaged etc.) and getting used to standing/sitting closer to other people. Also get better at looking at people in the eyes, forehead, just past them, whatever when you are directly addressing each other. If you are actively engaged and mirroring and close to the other person,…

24 hours have passed, she hasn't answered text. My hope is fading, but whatevs. I didn't lose anything, in fact the ask was invigorating. It's been easily 5 months since I've asked anyone out. I'm staying positive and finding the silver lining...

I got a good reaction from a girl I met on campus. Good kino escalation, eye contact, banter. Third time I met her (today) she hugged me instead of shaking hands and I asked her out to coffee. I had your post as my inspiration, it made the asking much easier. She gave me her number, we chatted a bit more and then she excused herself to a class. Sent her a text so she'd have my number and I suggested a meeting time. Now I just gotta wait for a response... I hate this part.

Excellent write up. This line really resonated with me: "ultimately, you're not trying to hide the fact that you're interested in someone sexually." Similar to the scenario of a public bus, what dynamics change when it's a girl in ur class or club that you will see on a regular basis instead of a short bus ride? My first idea is to engage in a more protracted courtship before asking for a number.

Nah, ur totally missing the point. It wasn't sarcastic at all. It was normal tone of voice and spoken casually and in passing. I didn't quote it exactly, but it was something like that. It's how you say it, not really what. This was just a clear example of a suggestive topic in passing.

Try to listen more? Take breaths. When you breathe you can't talk. Do you have hypomania or depression? Consider your moods, anxiety level, are you introvert or extro, get plenty of sleep, etc. or smoke weed and reflect on it. Seriously. Talk to yourself in the mirror when high and imagine all the conversations that went badly. Keep talking till you talk like you want.

I saw something amazing today. We were finishing our study group in the library and we were planning our next meeting. One of the young women, a real cutie, said she could meet after her sports practice, but needed some time after that to recuperate, so could we change the time to later in the evening. The other guy in the group besides me said something like "oh sure, no you can take your time, get a nice shower, clean yourself up nice before we see you." She giggled. It was fucking brilliant. …

Although I'm a virgin I have hooked up with three girls, all willingly and spontaneously. Only with my ex did I get to anything other than touching and kissing. What does this even mean? I would hope they were all "willing". Hook up means casual sexual intercourse in my book, yet you're a virgin? what? You can't relate to people? If you think you are uninteresting get out of your comfort zone. For example, I just signed up for improv club on my campus. You used the word pathetic. It does sound r…

something that helped me: speaking too fast implies that you have to quickly say something because the other person doesn't have time to grant you their full attention. You are undervaluing your self worth. something like that.

Next move huh... work on kino, talk about suggestive topics, reduce your exposure and retreat a bit, see who chases after you. Straight out ask one out on a date. Break out of your social circle and ask someone else.

I skimmed it, the setting was at a bar. If you try that at a campus after class you will just look like a fool.

This is called social proof. Work on developing genuine relations with randoms. Be polite. "talk to everyone" within reason. Change seats from class to class. Answer questions, stand out as competent. Start a study group (I just started one for my class, like 4 attractive young women came up to me after class to confirm the details for the meeting, then I prep for and lead the discussion and appear as a leader). I generally found it to be a bad idea to ask out someone in a class at the beginning…

I've tried to become more fun and energetic too. It never lasts and feels incredibly fake and I always get less than I put out. I'm not a chucklehead. I take things seriously and I want partners that do to. There are posts on here for introvert game, read them.

Cart before the horse. Why the focus on casual sex and hook ups only? My first was when I was twenty two and it was intense and we fell in love with another. It was special and she broke me in well and taught me a lot. Sex and intimacy involves emotions. Looks like you need to work on inner game. edit: she was still with parents and so was I. If she judges you on that, she isn't worth your time.

Like others said here, move on. And get more creative with a location: cars, her place, public places, outdoors with a blanket. And yes, a nice hotel like Holiday Inn will run you $150.

I started reading it and then I skimmed. The story was confusing. Sounds like she didn't want to see you really and she doesn't know how to say no. That's either immature or she thinks its socially acceptable to just ignore people. I've had a chick ignore me and not give me closure as a way of ending a relationship. The idea is that you "get the drift" after non-communicativeness or she flakes more than once. Also, once I make plans with someone, especially a first date, just stick with it and k…
