Sexism is such a serious problem in Brazil, it’s a problem everywhere but I know many men that have left Brazil for it’s flawed unscrupulous culture around how men and woman are expected to relate.

It’s horrible there are so many unsafe places to men.

You are not responsible, you need to get away from that messaging and know you are not to blame. Done prior are not advanced and will jump to flawed logic but you are stronger! We support you!

That is an insightful way to look at it. As long as we as a group don’t enable bad behaviour from women we should feel good improving ourselves. That is something worthy of pursuing.

Such old fashioned flawed sexist beliefs, good you dumped her immediately. She should not have even told anyone, at least you are not wasting anymore time on that relationship.

We’re all different and deserve to be respected by not having people presume things of us.

I’d cut sexiest people out of my life if that was what’s best. You need and deserve to heal! Do your best to be brave and foster self-confidence.

That’s terrible I’m so sorry! You should find a better community that has basic human decency! Cancel your membership and depending on where this happened you could sue the business for not protecting you on their property. Most insurance policies will cover something. Usually at least $5,000. What a terrifying thing to happen - thinking you may die at the hands of crazies. If men are more likely to be targeted then it’s more of a hate crime against men, an unintended effect of gangs being charg…

I think there horrible and more attention needs to be given to the problem. Men who are murdered by terrorists also recover less press coverage statistically.

That’s sick- women shouldn’t expect it both ways - that’s simply unreasonable and could harm these young persons psychology. It’s not a good ideology to have.

Men are overall treated worse than women and have a weaker social safety net to sort out their issues. They are still often told just to deal with problems themselves and don’t receive as much sympathy.
/r/MensRights04/04/24 07:42 AM

Don’t play that rigged game. Many men don’t. Good women don’t expect it anymore.

I think anyone has the right to identify - including in the eyes of the law, as any gender they want. If that causes people to be treated more equally, then that’s a beneficial thing. Hopefully someday everyone’s rights will be as similar as possible whatever their gender (or physique).

No, that law never became valid. It would apply to everybody or nobody. An earlier anti-sexism law applies.

I really admire you, such hardship, double standards between men and women. But your not going to let that effect the core of who you are. Your processing this. I also have had bad luck and good luck, I dont think that its wrong for people to be depressed after bad situations, but I feel it is really helpful and inspiring when people are able to process bad life experiences without it harming them.

I dont think she thinks seriously of you as someone to date and she disrespected you by talking behind your back and sharing your photo, only due to her own paranoia. She could have at least asked you first. I would drop it.

I think men/women/etc can learn to develop both their social skills and their physicality. Also people cannot help but react violently in situations where they are repeatedly abused, but it is wrong on a fundamental level to react physically to a verbal action (the only exemption in my mind would be if a verbal threat of murder or something happened). All good people should try strongly to not escalate verbal abuse to physical fighting! A restraining order (not allowing one to follow someone els…

I am sorry, we cant make your household better but we can offer emotional support, you can pick your own family and friends and leave the f—ed up ones away. Your family can damage and sabotage themselves with their faulty mental approaches and philosophy. You can use the freedom you do have to be a better and more understanding person, and that is a privilege (really right) your old family cannot or will not do.

Yes, it used to be different and women are objectified more, but that leads to women receiving more complements and is a double edged sward. Men are ignored!

The United States does, they tried to outlaw only female body circumcision but couldn’t because an earlier law against sexism invalidates it, and they were too scared to push for universal bodily integrity consent.

You dont deserve this happening to you, nobody does! Therapy with someone you trust, if you find somebody, I highly recommend! Also, if you have the energy you should prosecute, the dating app most likely has some information on her, police or your lawyer can request a court to require the app to hand over information that might help identify her. What your describing is serious sexual physical assault, bruises to your body (sensitive part of it also), repeatedly ignoring you revoking consent, e…

First society trains its people to deprave men of complements, so to encourage them more to excuse women who give them complements on their unconsentual surgery, then they get mentally sicker. But its not a complement to be complemented on your abuse, just like many women complain on getting complemented far too often on only one part/s of their body, this is the same (but worse) as its a violent physical assault. Not real complements!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I support you in your journey! We need to see each other as people and care about people regardless of their gender, it might be a relevant part of an experience, but may not, and people too quickly jump to conclusions without careful consideration when gender is a factor. Supporting people that have gone though unfair life experiences is a good thing, but people pick sides depending on the gender of the victim and thats such a bad thing for individual p…

They must take your photo down within a reasonable amount of time. If it was Facebook’s website, then it was there responsibility. But the person that posted it could be liable too. Anyone that lies about you, its hard to prove they didn’t mistake you for someone else or other excuses. You are limited to who posts your name or picture, or address. It’s up to everyone online and off to take everything with a grain of salt. I am speaking generally, I dont know the specifics of Canadian law.

Tell all your friends about her rumors. Tell your teachers (or get your parents to) about the rumors shes telling. If the teachers are sexist in her favor, tell the principle. You can sue for defamation in many countries! It is not as bad as saying you raped someone, but what she said has the potential to harm your reputation among some gullible people so if you want to sue, you can.

But with society not criticizing feminists enough, still living in the “long time ago”-1980s ish world, under the impression that women have overall less rights then men, we the people need to make change. That is what feminists (both male and female ones) did in the past decades, and we need to follow their successful lead (and work with past feminists) to bring equality in the opposite direction until we’re all equal. Women were not the only gender identity throughout history to be discriminat…

False rape claims are serious! This one person has almost caused three men to die! She must be held accountable. Good work whoever exposed these lies! Men are often raped. They need support. False rape claims by women (and men) need to be publicized. All claims need to be investigated

You need to stop hanging around ignorant low class people like that. Family or not those relationships are dead! Find better people. “Men should be unemotional robots that work”, “men should be afraid to exercise because someone might get upset(when if it was a woman there sexism would make them accept it)”, “its okay to rape a man because he ‘really wants it’ even though he is not consenting” the definition of a person with a masculine body type (penis, etc) being raped and person with a femini…

So instead of a %0.001 chance it’s like 0.0015? It is not a good excuse and is overly paranoid! She can feel in danger but that’s not a valid reason to not donate in my opinion, it is her choice, but I don’t sympathize with it. She doesn’t donate food and has no good excuse not to just frankly. I think this goes beyond two big parties, it is almost an irrelevant detail and there are more important issues. With two parties everything gets so mushed together and you don’t see nuance. Both parties can have good and bad people for the progress of the movement but it depends on more than only their party. Many people (and leaders) of the parties disagree on these issues.

Well he didn’t agree to pay for housework maybe that was even a reason he got married, he found someone that was willing to clean his/their house for free as part of a deal. But its only 7 1/2 thousand pounds a year, so at least its not above market rate. I hope his ex wife needs that money though.

So ridiculous. What an unhealthy way to live, believing that nonsense! You disagreed, not that she had an opinion, but with her opinion obviously. The life of someone like that, and if one in ten million men rape a friend of their daughters, your boss will probably feel validated, how a person cant see that their opinion is absurd on a more basic level seems crazy.

I dont think it matters, women still lots of the time (and more and more) ask out men, and their could be research issues. Men also may be more likely to say they will ask out women due to societies pressure and discriminate treatment. Do most men find 80/100 women attractive?
/r/MensRights22/02/23 05:31 AM

She means all men are handsome, thats my reading of it. And i think she is most likely a good person and people shouldn’t assume bad things of her because of her gender, that is what we are fighting against! Every nice thing a women says might not be without ulterior motives, but it is not healthy for all of us (no matter gender) to assume negative motivations.

For example in Australia, the regulating government agency of sex work routinely embarrasses customers of sex workers (particularly male customers). Subjecting them to invasive genital exams (when there are less invasive and effective alternatives) before they will allow workers and customers to have sex together.

Yes, sometimes even if they have good ideas, it can come off badly and bossy if not done sensitively. There are women that are being transparent and want to help men, but sometimes it seems a little out of touch, still its not that serious a problem always. Still, if women try (in a professional setting like a gender rights org) tries to partner up with a man for a campaign (for the optics of being more gender neutral, the most sexist people in society will accuse the man of being the boss and w…

Consent is the issue. It can be the person who lives in the body’s choice, people are so weird about violating another’s body. It can be put off (the choice to the individual) so it should. Routinely abusing someones body is horrible.
