We have given feminists the keys to society. They have brought us here. It's going to get much worse because they have managed to simultaneously shut men up and shape men to become women, albeit inferior versions.
/r/MensRights25/10/23 04:41 AM

The problem is, the worse it gets, the more "proof" there is that men are the cause if it all.

"Women, now that we are in a position where we don't need to rely on a man to be financially stable, we have that freedom to express more the types of attributes that we are looking for in a long-term partner," Lindner said. Hahaha! Which planet does this "scientist" inhabit?

Growing up, boys did not need extra help. Many of our teachers were men. We had gym class and ran around outside almost every day. We were fine. And the smartest, most high achieving kids were a mixture of boys and girls.

They have a distorted sense of reality due to their need to portray themselves as victims of men. Their echo chamber reinforces it. Nothing pisses them off more than statistics showing otherwise. And nothing makes them care less than men being actual victims.

First, we need to create a safe working environment for male teachers. Male high school teachers are too vulnerable to false allegations from female students wanting to "have fun" or retaliate.

Well done lads for calling out the BS in this piece. It shows that even men can be feminists in sheep's clothing. A few thoughts. From the piece: "This means that while women are more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety and depression, men are less likely to be diagnosed at all." Except for ADHD where boys are much more likely to be diagnosed because of their lesser ability to conform to the behavioral norms of the feminist-designed classroom and educational system. I guess that diagnosis doesn'…

Jordan Peterson has spoken about this. If 2 men are arguing, they both know that they risk injury if things turn physical. This knowledge deters violence. In contrast, a woman knows that she can physically abuse a man and get away with it because he is socially/legally prohibited from responding in kind (which both women and men know). Presumably, women who physically assault other women don't have the same fear of serious injury men would have if they assaulted each other.

To your point, I expect dating dynamics change dramatically for men from their 20s to 30s. Women have all the power in their 20s. 30s women are ready to settle down and find a good man, but most chads are already taken, so the guy who couldn't get a date in his 20s had plenty of options in his 30s. And in the 40s, women are divorced and looking for love again, and again, men are in the driver's seat. I can speak from experience, beautiful 40s women will throw themselves at you if you are a norma…

This is a very good point. It is exceptionally difficult to prove your accuser deliberately lied. Much easier to show they have inadequate evidence to show the accused committed a crime. It's a burden of proof issue.

It doesn't work that way. Women are believed, men are not. A man who accuses a woman of sexual harassment is likely to find the tables turned on him. All that has to happen is for the woman to say, no, he harassed me. This happened to a friend of mine. It's dangerous out there.

That is terrible. I have a male friend who is a high school PE teacher. He lives in fear of the female students and tries to keep his distance as much as possible. He tells me schools are so afraid of lawsuits that they are quick to believe student accusations and fire teachers regardless of evidence or due process. They do not protect their own teachers. He also tells me that students know this which gives them power over teachers. They know that all they have to do is make a false allegation t…

This is why false allegations need to be punished. When girls/women know they can get away with ruining a man's life "for fun" without consequence, cases like this are to be expected. The girls who did this should be arrested and criminally charged. We probably need new criminal legislation specific to this type of crime. Without it, it is not safe for male teachers.

The war in Ukraine is a great example of how seeing the world from a men's rights perspective allows one to see things differently. I abhor Russia's invasion of Ukraine but I also abhor Ukraine's blatant sexism and disregard for the lives of its men.

I hear you. When I was 13, I woke up every morning at 5 AM for my paper route. Was excluded from the cool rich club at school. Bullied, in the true sense of the word. And that was just life. Miserable but not always, created my own pockets of companionship and fun. As we all did. That was life. Being a teenager was filled with ups and downs. Whatever. Mental illness? We all would have laughed at the notion. No words can describe how mortified I would have been to be chucked into an "emotion regu…

Thanks for your comment. I think that is true for everyone. It speaks to the fact that reactions to directions to focus on inner experience are not always helpful. Indeed, this is a known thing. Thanks for your comment. Nobody said the boys were "mistreated." The results show that the intervention was generally harmful but much more so for boys. They recommended more research be done on their demonstrably harmful intervention. Thank you.

I understand your point, thank you. They come from the default ideological view of a female feminist approach to the profession including this issue. They didn't have to declare it. It's evident in their study as should be obvious.

I agree. You cannot hide from results that bad, all you can do is "massage" them looking for moderators (like homework engagement) and argue that it might have been effective if not for this or that, and future research should study this. I hear you and applaud them in the sense you described, but for me, the smoking gun is their conclusion: more research is needed on how to make our harmful intervention effective. Honesty only goes so far, apparently. The sunk cost fallacy is powerful. Note: th…

I work in a group of 14 as the only man. In the last 2 years, 5 of my colleagues have taken year-long maternity leave. The rest of us including me have had to do their jobs for them while they were gone. We just hired 2 people, both women, both currently on maternity leave who cannot start for months past the start date. I would be crucified for ever mentioning this. Thank you. If and when that day comes, it's hard to imagine the societal upheaval that will result. Entitled feminist women would be forced to compete with AI counterparts deemed more desirable by men in many ways. My prediction in that event: first, feminists would do everything in their power to shut down AI girlfriends, and second, tradcon non-feminist women would find themselves at the top of the dating pool. Hold on to your hats.

HR is a dream job for feminists. It's all centered on creating and enforcing rules for others behavior with an emphasis on punishing men for making women "uncomfortable". For instance, they have redefined sexual harassment as actions that make women "feel" uncomfortable regardless of the man's intent (and we all know discomfort depends on the man's desirability). An HR job is a man-hating radical feminists fantasy. They have added a huge burden to the workplace - endless hours of orientations an…

At the heart of this matter is "concept creep" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concept_creep. Harm-related concepts like abuse, trauma, violence have expanded in recent decades. When I was a kid, bullying was getting punched. Now, bullying is not playing with an unlikeable kid on the playground during recess. Violence now has been redefined to include words. Abuse now has been reframed to include thoughts. One can be a "victim" of "violence" and "abuse" now for receiving an unwanted text message…

According to the Duluth Model system of policing/adjudicating domestic violence, if a woman slaps a man and the man slaps her back, the man is a DV perpetrator and will have the book thrown at him. She is a victim, even though she started it and did the same thing the man did, because she is a woman and therefore inherently the victim. The patriarchy means women should have no accountability for their actions.

I get what you're saying. You'd want to know why. But is it really a mystery? A father taking photos of his child at a kid's sporting event. Is it not 100% obvious why? I just don't understand how there is any reasonable doubt that leads to the need to make sure. I work with clients who have anxiety disorders and this reflects their typical mindset: overestimation of threat and intolerance of uncertainty. I don't think we should celebrate this way of thinking as reasonable or diligent.

Why though? When you see a man of dad age, standing in the middle of kids running around playing a sport while taking pictures, why would you suspect that he might be a pedophile who has taken the opportunity to use the sport as cover to take pictures of young children in swimwear for his sexual gratification? Why would you take that concern so seriously that you would ask the man what he is doing? That I do not understand. I don't see the world that way and it upsets me that in just a few decad…

We have the Duluth Model to thank for this. It incentivizes women to use threats of their legal power to control men. I predict that in the not too distant future we will see a backlash to this in the form of overtly "traditional" (for lack of a better word) dating spaces where women disillusioned with radical feminism who seek a relationship based on more traditional gender roles will go to find a man who aligns with their values. Such women will find themselves in extreme demand, more so than their radical feminist peers who realise that sleeping around is not a recipe for finding something real with a good m…

To your list, I would add "my money is my money, your money is our money." Strong, independent, empowered feminist women feel entitled to have men pay for everything. Women want to make just as much money as men (no gender pay gap) but want a man who makes more money than them so he can pay for everything.

Being surrounded by femininists in my 80% female profession who see the world totally differently than I do and not being able to speak my mind for fear of being ostracized and punished. They believe in the patriarchy, view women as victims, and think sex (not just gender) exists on a continuum. The world is going increasingly mad and we're not allowed to call it out lest we be cancelled.

People follow incentives. Give women a financial incentive to claim DV in a divorce proceeding for extra cash, in a context in which their claims are almost impossible to disprove, and the result will be totally predictable. And it will be heralded by society as uncovering the truth of how prevalent husband-on-wife DV is in society. You go, girl.

This happened to me. She knew the police would believe her and not me, regardless of the fact that I had done nothing whatsoever to abuse her, so when she got mad at me, she would threaten to call the cops and I had no choice to leave and stay in a hotel. She loved the power the Duluth Model gave her and she it to coercively control me. Key to this is that "family violence" is defined, basically, as anything a man does that makes a woman feel uncomfortable/afraid. In this circumstance, a man can…

Fascinating. There are all sorts of bizarre unintended consequences of the modern online dating era, and this may be one of them. 80% of women get to share 20% of guys and think they are more desirable than they actually are. And when reality hits, they turn to sites like this for support and revenge-motivated reputational destruction. It makes sense.

Totally agree. According to the authorities, I have to pay my ex $450 per week to support my 17 year old. She had full custody as I had to move to another state for work. I've basically paid my ex's rent for 5 years.

Male psychologist academic here. Where I live, 80% of psychologists are women. 80% of our students are women. I am the only male professor in our program. The majority of faculty across the university, and also recently tenured/promoted faculty, are women. The uni offers 2 workshops for preparing for promotion, one for everyone and one specifically for women. We need men and their perspective. Badly. Feminist ideology has led to some things becoming absurd, like gender identity stuff. You can't …

At my institution, 60% of academics who get promoted to tenured professorships are women. Two workshops provided by my university to assist academics in getting tenure are available. One for everyone and one specifically for women.

Fucking thank you. This is the only point, really. To each their own. Freedom of expression. You do you it's all good! Just don't think you should be entitled to change others' behavior for you.

My take is that, by far, the most powerful person in any room is the most attractive woman. Interested to see if others agree.

I couldn't care less about the extent to which a man conforms to traditional masculinity. I don't see that as relevant to the main issues we all care about.

The law should require women who made false paternity allegations leading to child support payments from the (false) father to repay every dollar they received plus an additional percentage. I can't imagine how it would feel to learn you've been supporting another man's child.
