One of the top comments is that he should just get an arranged marriage because he’s Asian. I mean, what the Hell???

I got downvoted on r/relationships for calling out what would’ve been considered an open and shut case of sexual assault if the genders were reversed. Evidently it’s “cute” when a woman has her way with a man in his sleep.

I believe when people put down and abuse others, it can be very telling about their own insecurities by what they focus on. “I don’t need you as much as you need me” = “I have a low sense of self worth and I need to make others feel less valuable than me so I can feel valuable.” Their self worth is tied up in the idea of being needed by others. They say they don’t care about it, but they’re actually obsessed with the idea of needing and being needed. That’s why they abuse people by telling them …

I don't understand that argument at all. Looking put together takes expense and effort on the man's part. A decent dress shirt that doesn't look like one worn by Dwight Schrute costs at least $50. Almost impossible to find a good dress shoe for less than $200. They think we buy our clothes at Kohl's, but expect us to foot a 3 figure dinner bill on the first date.

Most of the women I've dated said they were initially attracted to me because I seemed safe and non-threatening. Then, I was in a relationship with a woman with schizophrenia for a couple of years it f***ed with my image of myself as a caring and considerate romantic partner. She started making outrageous, delusional accusations against me. One time we were hiking in the woods. I pulled out my phone and she thought I was pulling out a weapon on her. She also thought I was putting poison in her a…

My childhood was in the '90s. I had a pretty stable childhood: actually eating dinner together, having family nights where we watched tv together, etc. I remember watching 'Everybody Loves' Raymond', 'Married with Children' and the countless other family sitcoms and thinking how unappealing fatherhood and being family man seemed. Then there was Seinfeld. The men were still idiots and jerks, but they lived life on their own terms, weren't henpecked by some nagging wife, dated pretty women, had co…

Nikki Haley is a woman running for the highest political office who opposes women's reproductive freedom and wants to force women and girls to have babies they don't want. Is this patriarchy?

What is the answer feminists give to this question? Not trying to be a smart aleck. Not trying to be disingenuous. I just sincerely don't understand. Men created a social system that benefits themselves at the expense of women. But, actually, it hurts both women and men. So now men need to join the feminists in dismantling the thing we created to benefit ourselves for our benefit? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. What am I missing?

If the patriarchy is damaging to men, why did men create it the first place?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
