I just found out my teacher is a feminist.i was thinking for a sec if you meant feminist in the classical equality sense but yeah nah you can disregard their politics | /r/MensRights | 26/03/19 05:08 AM
People constantly overstate the extent to which women were "oppressed" in the past.things were bad for everyone back then, especially those that worked in the lower circles of society. do we all truly have to turn these kinds of things into opression olympics? | /r/MensRights | 26/03/19 05:03 AM
Meant as a compliment, I think most feminists would be screaming about how toxic this is.wrong, but its a nice thought | /r/MensRights | 26/03/19 04:59 AM
Meant as a compliment, I think most feminists would be screaming about how toxic this is.'bullying'. it was full blown tribalism that ensued by the end of the book. 2 boys were murdered in cold blood for it. it was not mere bullying, but physical and psychological violence that was prominent at the last quarter of the book. i agree that an all female lord of the flies would be worse. there would be even more murders i'd bet, especially assassinations. | /r/MensRights | 26/03/19 04:57 AM
Question: do you guys think someone can be a MRA and a feminist? If you want to be a feminist that focuses on men’s issues, go full steam ahead. Remember that you’ll get flak from both sides, but try to ignore the and just do you. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/19 11:54 AM
How do i tell people I dont like feminism without them thinking i hate women? You can’t. Not liking feminism = not liking what feminism has done = not liking the progress women have made = not liking women. It’s easier to come to that conclusion than it is to assume toxic masculinity means masculinity is toxic. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/18 12:03 AM
My feminist friend says that everybody on this sub is a misogynistic sexistHere’s the thing, they aren’t women hating. But heres the catch, from another perspective, especially one biased against us it really bloody well seems that way. Let me give an example with this one:https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/9x7hsg/women_say_to_men_go_fight_that_war_for_me/. We all know what the message the OP was wanting to tell. But from someone outside of the mra, what they read is this: women are useless and they think OP wants that message to be shared. | /r/MensRights | 28/11/18 06:39 AM
My feminist friend says that everybody on this sub is a misogynistic sexistLooking back, i realise it is very hard for you to express your views better. Here’s the thing, nothing you’re ever going to say is going to change peoples minds since... well... this place hates feminism, and this place also seems to care more about illegitimizing feminism than forwarding men’s rights. Now think, what does that lead to? If you hate feminism, it would entail that you hate the good feminism has done along with the bad. Saying you hate feminism leads (very logically might I add) t… | /r/MensRights | 28/11/18 06:37 AM
My feminist friend says that everybody on this sub is a misogynistic sexistIt’s good to be slightly cynical of everyone, it leads to a clearer head and more centrism | /r/MensRights | 27/11/18 06:51 AM
My feminist friend says that everybody on this sub is a misogynistic sexistHmm. God forbid she gets that opinion reinforced right?? It’s not like... oh. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/a0pr13/emotional_labor_the_new_frontier_for_feminists/ https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/9zyhxa/if_you_think_you_were_raped_then_you_were_raped/ https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/9x7hsg/women_say_to_men_go_fight_that_war_for_me/ Here’s the thing, none of those are truly mysoginistic but boy howdy they sure will look that way to an outsider, and the wors… | /r/MensRights | 27/11/18 06:49 AM
Autism is an extreme version of the 'male brain' which makes it harder to read others' emotions, breakthrough study reveals. Cambridge University analysed personality tests for half a million peoplei guess? what im saying is that those qualities of autism, those they've linked with the 'male brain', we've known about for years. it isn't a 'breakthrough' to connect those behaviors. both the qualities autism exhibits and the qualities of the male brain we've known for ages now, they've just said they're similar. | /r/MensRights | 15/11/18 01:30 AM
Autism is an extreme version of the 'male brain' which makes it harder to read others' emotions, breakthrough study reveals. Cambridge University analysed personality tests for half a million peopleBreakthrough my ass. We’ve known and come to a similar conclusion years ago, but without linking it to ‘male brain’, just qualities that can be associated instead. | /r/MensRights | 13/11/18 06:44 AM
We should be careful to not become like the sexist feminists we hate, and not to let rage and anger control us so that we don't become mysogynistic, and destroy this sub and this movement from within.i just hate people who have irrational hate for a different group of people | /r/MensRights | 05/11/18 05:56 AM
Why are you an MRA?I agree. I would also call those values common human decency and having reasonable views, but human decency in general I feel is best. | /r/MensRights | 01/11/18 12:36 PM
Why are you an MRA?Admitting to being raped is one of the hardest things you can do; and to have those who ‘care’ turn you down as such? It would be impossible not to have a jaded view after that. | /r/MensRights | 01/11/18 12:16 PM
Are Men's Rights making progress? There are some that do try, and they try their hardest through their ideology. It’s great for helping women, and I don’t think anyone here disagrees with helping women. The issue is that feminism isn’t as compatible for solving men’s rights since it’s been crafted around women for centuries. | /r/MensRights | 25/08/18 02:33 AM
Female Australian senator accuses a male senator of making a misogynistic insult. He responds by documenting 26 examples of her making misandrist insults in the senate. The Australian media and politics are, but not a single person I know in Australia, on the internet or otherwise gives a damn about the media and I often like to talk rudely about politics (in real life) because the internet can be extremely polarising in its politics. | /r/MensRights | 21/07/18 05:45 AM
"Sarah Hanson-Young brings in the lawyers after David Leyonhjelm refuses to apologise for sexist slurs" Another strong, independent woman who can't handle a mere insult, folks. One of the senators sitting near David Leyonhjelm (can’t remember who, sorry) tweeted out in his defence, saying she said something along the lines of: (women) wouldn’t need pepper spray to defend themselves if men weren’t rapists! | /r/MensRights | 07/07/18 10:33 AM
feminist brought up argument that i’m finding hard to crack, any master debaters that can help me out here?Men are inherently violent is easily disproven with logic. If every man was inherently violent, wouldn’t there be far more crime and DV than there already is? | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 09:23 PM
I don't support feminism because they don't support the many issues men face. How can they call for equality when their movement only empowers and helps one gender over the other? They’ll instantly tell you that the MRA is anti-feminist instead, which doesn’t solve anything. | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 09:20 PM
I don't support feminism because they don't support the many issues men face. How can they call for equality when their movement only empowers and helps one gender over the other? One part of many wrongs indeed I’m stating as well that the definition of their movement they cling so dearly; that is used as an excuse for their behaviour ultimately betrays their use of it. If someone is advocating for something on the basis of something else I.e the furtherment of womens rights on the grounds of equality, their ultimate aim is of the first and they use the second as justification/as what they say their movement is for. But it is proven otherwise; there is an alternate motive… | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 09:29 AM
Woman pleads guilty to lying about being raped on Delta College campusPeople judge how bad actions are from their punishment. If the punishment for murder was the same as a misdemeanour, what message does it send? | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 05:23 AM
I don't support feminism because they don't support the many issues men face. How can they call for equality when their movement only empowers and helps one gender over the other?Nope, definitely no bias here! | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 05:16 AM
I don't support feminism because they don't support the many issues men face. How can they call for equality when their movement only empowers and helps one gender over the other? The dictionary definition of feminism is perfect, because it explains in clear cut detail that feminists aren’t for men’s rights or even equal rights. Here’s the full definition: the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes. This, or more specifically this: women’s rights on the ground of equality Is the issue. The definition says that feminists aren’t for equality, even thought they say they are. They are for women’s rights and women’s rights only. This means that, … | /r/MensRights | 30/03/18 05:10 AM
My history teacher refuses to accept that men face gender related issues. What statistics, or articles, or really any fact-based information do you have that can disprove her?you cheeky devil | /r/MensRights | 23/03/18 11:09 AM
My history teacher refuses to accept that men face gender related issues. What statistics, or articles, or really any fact-based information do you have that can disprove her?it has been proven that facts dont change our thinking https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/02/27/why-facts-dont-change-our-minds it isnt truly related, but it might be helpful. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/18 11:06 AM

Is murder worse than rape?I don’t even know how to respond to something as well written as that. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/18 09:18 AM
Always beating up on menNot what I expected coming from them due to history, but it’s still a good article. Btw i have to pay to see the article which sucks | /r/MensRights | 22/03/18 07:45 AM
Is murder worse than rape?Even taking philosophically, there are worse things than death. I would be willing to die if it were to relieve me from pain or prevent further pain, but only if the pain was great enough. For me, being raped wouldn’t be enough to tip me over the edge because I know how to deal with it through my (comparatively minor) experiences with bullying, but someone of a lesser mental state most likely wouldnt. Talking about it makes me disgusted honestly. | /r/MensRights | 22/03/18 07:35 AM
For every 1 female suicide in New Zealand there are 3 male suicides.Believe it or not, australian statistics commonly reach 80% male suicides or even sometimes higher, which is disgusting by most peoples standards | /r/MensRights | 22/03/18 07:34 AM
