I genuinely don't see how that approach would benefit U.S. national security in the long term. You'd have a huge loss of both military power (loss of force projection and allies) and economic power (loss of trading partners) which would be catastrophic. We're already doing bad enough as it is. However, if the person in charge is a male, the tendency would be that the decisions made would prioritize the interests of a male, rather than a female. It should be the duty of each citizen to preserve the same society that they live in. I think at 18 every citizen should be introduced to the concept and receive training that would allow them to do so. 1	Military Draft You base your argument on the logic that drafting would boost military power or the nation as a whole, which is patently untrue and has been studied pretty extensively since the Vietnam war era. If it were any true, they'd be already doing it; they're not stupid.
