Actually yeah, they do, because they’re high value. I take it you’re a male. And who else consumes these romance novels, my guy? You know that movie, 50 Shades? Pretty popular bro!

The BDSM bit was just an example to showcase how we’re all into different shit. Some people are “into” toxicity, and who am I to say what somebody can and can’t be into. But most importantly you must have missed the part where I said, “many people play these games MUTUALLY of their own free will.” That is explicitly not predatory, though it may seem that way on the surface to you. Abuse is a relative concept and largely defined by the victim. It’s impossible to welcome abuse, “goofy goose” (neve…

All this can be boiled down to the the principle of reciprocation. Initiate, wait for response. Reassess approach. Repeat.

I won't deign to defend myself to random internet strangers so I'll pass on your first question! Go read romance novels if you really want to explore the stereotypical female fantasy. They all have dark pasts and dominant demeanors. Whether that's your idea of a bad boy or not is up to you, but they come in many different flavors. Fantasy men are desirable, and thus get many partners, so they are typically toxic. The notion of it being "all women" was obviously not meant to be taken literally in…

I think we can tell who is actually more charismatic here by the ratio amirite 😂

It may actually work just fine on mature women who are into the toxic bad boy complex (quick statistical check - oh right that’s like all women), who see right through the text, but enjoy it anyway! Can’t count those folks out, my friend. They play their own game too. In fact, everybody is a player, some people just play better!

Guess it’s all a matter of perspective, because many women know exactly what they’re getting themselves into despite seeing through that type of message and replying anyway, and how’s a guy supposed to know one type of girl from the other? Isn’t it interesting that many BDSM kinks are precisely predator/prey? That secretly many people are intrigued by the notion of being “taken advantage of”? (Consent first kids ofc) For the record, I agree with you on average, but I think you’re discounting the…

aight just checking cuz this is definitely the type of subreddit for short-term youngsters who are looking to bone lol.

I don’t see how playing games is gross or predatory. I do think it’s childish and inauthentic, and I don’t do it myself, but this type of suggestion is a very successful strategy on a variety of people, not just the young or hurt. Getting somebody excited about you in some form or another is what seduction is all about, especially in the beginning.

It’s not a unisex strategy necessarily lol. Seems to me that it would work better on women

That one seems really tame tho..? Like how do you read so much into that? I’ve told people that because I genuinely did and I just thought it was interesting. I say the same shit to my buddies, like what?

Then what are you doing in this subreddit…?

It’s not about their first reply, it’s about making her wait. Ofc it would be some generic “yeah what” bs, that’s not the point. It just puts her on edge if she has any potential to be interested and that’s where girls love to be.

lol that’s such bullshit. Firstly, it’s not possible to ask permission to ask a question, since that’s paradoxical, but secondly nobody is going to assume you’re a beta from that alone 😂

Modify the strategy to work on smart women, then. Just wait an hour before texting her back all the time!

Men (especially in this subreddit) don’t care about the type of woman, they care about sex.

Wdym? He made a great interpretation, backed up by the key word you wrote - “obviously” manipulative. He’s saying don’t be obvious about it, simple! 😂

There are plenty of high SMV men that are neither strong nor attractive, and it’s precisely because of tactics like the ones OP suggests. Women love toxic men, and the man you just described is (typically) naturally toxic.

I’ll probably get downvoted, but here’s my scientific-ish explanation for why women’s behavior is so paradoxical. Evolutionary goal one: Have babies Evolutionary goal two: Protect babies Unfortunately, there are two different types of ideal men for these goals. The alpha Chad is best for making babies, because he has the best genes. The steady beta is best for protecting babies because he’s not out making them. So, women’s best evolutionary strategy becomes: have babies with Chad and have Beta r…

You have written your story, and it is a sad one. Instead, write yourself a happy story and act it out.
