Christopher Hitchens: "Compulsory genital mutilation of children is not a joke."Removing the clitoris is akin to removing the entire penis. Absolutely not. If you remove the entire penis, intercourse is impossible. Removing the clitoris can arguably lead to a greater loss in sensitivity than the removal of the foreskin in a man. The two practises have, however, similar impacts on sexuality. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/11 12:26 PM
Feminist decries the use of DNA testingIt's a good point. I am not totally at ease with a mandatory test, but I can see how it would help. | /r/MensRights | 11/11/10 09:40 AM
Feminist decries the use of DNA testingOkay, good point. This whole issue is complicated. I can't imagine what it must be to realize you're not the father of your child. | /r/MensRights | 11/11/10 09:37 AM
Feminist decries the use of DNA testingIf the parents have the option of not knowing, why not make the test itself optional ? | /r/MensRights | 09/11/10 04:37 PM
Feminist decries the use of DNA testingI disagree with the mandatory aspect. The man has the right to remain in doubt if he chooses to. He may prefer to live with the relative uncertainty rather than take the risk of forever changing his feelings towards his partner and his child. Forgiveness can be closing one's eyes. I think it is a rather similar debate to the famous question: if there were a way to know exactly when you will die, would you want to know ? | /r/MensRights | 09/11/10 12:04 PM
