I've never eaten there myself, though it's in my area. I was there as a delivery driver, so I was being professional. Thing is I used to think that way myself. I used to be trans. Abusive childhood, conservative parents, and then went left, lefter, leftest.

Saw a sticker on the counter of a restaurant I was picking up an order from today, said THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB IS USUALLY A WOMAN thought about commenting "nice casual misandry with the sticker there" but didn't want to start anything.

I used to be trans, and as I worked through my shit I realized that part of it was misogyny (e.g. I feel weak thus not a man thus woman?) but the most horrible parts of it were misandry (e.g. if I'm a man I'm evil and don't deserve to live).

Should we or should we not then force all of society to deconstruct and abandon all cultural norms related to sex? Cause that's the accommodation the left explicitly wants. Source: was leftist trans graduate student.

Or trauma bonding, the hot/cold "how do I figure out how to be good enough to keep the good part going?" style abuse.

Thank you for sharing this video. I have struggled with self-hatred, in part because I internalized the "men are the enemy" cultural narrative. I didn't want to be the oppressor, and gender transition gave me a way to be on the "good" side. Thankfully, I have learned to love myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
