This post is very relevant to my life right now. I'm suffering with a few chronic diseases and in the process of finding a diagnosis for a few more issues. I've found that the best thing to do is just be honest with him about how you are feeling at all times. If you are just exhausted or in pain or nauseated don't try to hide it and pretend it isnt there when he asks. I think it's more frustrating when he can obviously tell something's wrong but you keep saying your fine. Keeping him up to date …

I am so incredibly happy I decided to click this thread and read this article. I am in my mid 20s. I have been in a committed relationship with the same guy for 4 years, never having broken up, or taken a break, or whatever terms people use these days to justify their behaviors. This some how qualifies me to be some sort of therapist/magical creature to my single girl friends who continuously are unhappy with any interaction they have with the male species. I want to forward this article to all …

I've basically been learning by a process of trial and error. I've lost a considerable amount of weight in the past 2 years and honestly, it is sometimes just as hard to figure out now as it was 90 lbs ago. I feel like I generally have a good idea about whats fashionable. I tend to stick to the classics. My typical style is sort of classic preppy. Think J.crew and Lilly Pulitzer opposed to abercrombie or Hollister. I tend to buy semi-expensive quality pieces and I really evaluate a pieces place …

I used to have AWFUL pms. Like, scary to be around and the worst part was that I knew I was going bananas and I just couldn't get myself to stop. I Was actually diagnosed with PCOS almost 2 years ago because of other problems and got my hormone levels tested and almost all of them were irregular. Started correct medication and got a mirena (I can't take birth control pills because of migraines) and now I'm a lot better. I can still sometimes feel a little out of control, but it never is as harsh…

My ultimate dream would to be a housewife. I really feel like that's my "calling" so to speak. It's not in the cards right now, but I'm really hopeful that someday it will happen for me. If I mention it ever to people at work I just get crazy comments. My director actually sat me down one day and was telling me I need to go back to school because I'm just too smart and have too much potential to be doing what I'm currently doing, let alone being a homemaker. And he hasnt been the only one who ha…

I currently make more than my boyfriend, but it is hopefully a temporary situation. I work full time and he works part time but goes to university full time. I dont think it bothers either of us because we understand it's probably a temporary situation. When he is done with school he will have a much better earning potential than I will. It doesn't make me think he is less masculine, mostly because he is so masculine in all his other endeavors. He takes care of the cars and some bills and fixes …

http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-heathered-down-coat/id_274238 I just bought this coat in the grey color. Super warm, great hood, fleece cuffs and pocket lining. It is nipped in at the waist and has tabs to further nip it in if needed. You can order swatches of the fabric if you want to see/feel how it is. I love that it isn't shiny and has a bit of texture to it because of the heathering. If you sign up for their emails you get a 25% of coupon and they often have sales. I bought mine whe…

Sorel boots are where its at for winter boots. I bought a pair at a Columbia outlet store near me for 40 dollars. They survived my crazy harsh Wisconsin winter last year and I can't wait to bust them out again. I have the Joan of Arctic variety, and they can take a bit to get used to while walking, but your feet will never be cold. I have reynauds so my toes can turn blue or black essentially when they get cold and I've never had that problem with my Sorels.

My bf for the past year or so has really really been into craft beers and microbrews. Actually, this Saturday we are going to a craft beer tasting event. For Christmas I plan on getting him a home brew kit. A co-worker and his wife are really into it, like they could probably create a business out of their basement. So they are going to take me to the local wine making/brewing/floral shop and help me get all the right stuff. They brewed all the beer for their wedding and I thought that was just …

I'm also working on my "me-centered" approach to life. Learning to leave things that don't apply to our relationship out of the equation. He doesn't need to hear me complain for 4 hours about how crappy work was today. The argument with my sister doesn't really pertain to him or our life together. So unless he specifically asks about them I leave them be. And even if he does ask my answers are different now. He will ask about work and now I say "Not my best day, but I'm home now and I'm glad I g…

Same to you! It was really interesting and I really appreciate and admire how so many people had differing opinions and everyone was so respectful and no one was made to feel bad. It was my first time experiencing something so nice! I really think I'm going to love it here!

I really think the attraction comes from the fact that you routinely look nice and care about your appearance, not the actual outfit or lipstick you are wearing. Showing that you care and try to present a good image to the public is attractive. Wearing an old flannel to bed doesn't negate the attraction as long as during the day you aren't wearing your pajamas out.

I've been lurking for a few months. I spent those couple of months trying to read anything I could about TRP. I'm 25 years old and in a relationship with a 26 year old. I am currently the "breadwinner" in the relationship. I work some 40+ hours a week. He is a part time student hopefully graduating from a university in December 2015. And he works about 25-30 hours a week at a very physically demanding job with awful hours. He has no idea what red pill is (as far as I know). I can see the changes…

I can relate to you a bit. I work 40+ hours a week, with a weird schedule of odd start and end times. I live with my BF and his brother, both who also have non-standard work hours. I gave up on having a "Pinterest Perfect Home" a long time ago. I would be cleaning 24/7 to make that happen. I could get done with work at 6, cook a meal, clean all the dishes. Go to bed at 10 thinking I have a nice clean kitchen. BF gets done at work at 11:30, eats something and leaves dishes in the sink. BF's broth…

Thank you for sharing this. I really needed to hear this message today. I know in the past I have been "brutally honest" and very critical. I am now aware because of TRP that this is definitely the root of a lot of issues I have with my boyfriend. I used to think he needed to change but now I couldn't see clearer that I'm the one who needs to get my stuff together. I want him desperately to lead like a TRP man, but I have to change my ways if he ever will get there. I think I'm going to try that…

This is something I learned myself early on in my dating years, well before RP came into my life. BF goes out with buddies and I never make contact first. I actually leaned to use that time for myself. I paint, or read, or give myself a mini spa day. I'm an introvert and as much as I crave spending time with my man, I need a little alone "Me" time too. Its easy to get wrapped up in my hobby and not realize how much time has passed until I get a text or call from him. This is exactly what I stres…

I'm having a difficult time with this. My long term BF chews tobacco. He is aware of how I feel about it. I work closely with cancer patients as part of my job and it's like being punched in the gut whenever someone new with mouth or lip or tongue or throat cancer comes in. Watching them die at 45, 57, 62 years of age. Having horrible treatments, having their face cut apart. All I can think of is my BF and it makes me so upset. Before I found RP I would nag, argue, give ultimatums. Now I'm tryin…

I knew I was in love with my bf from very early on in our relationship. We were close friends for 3 years before we started dating. I had this impression that he was just a crazy party guy but when we started dating I learned about this whole other side. He is a bookworm who loves physics and Pokemon. He can make anyone laugh and makes friends in the grocery store line (which always mortifies my introverted self). He stuck with me and took care of me during a very awful bout of illness after ill…

I had my "ah ha" moment recently also. I would get so bent out of shape about minor problems, like the handle on the refrigerator looked grimy. I would nag him about not noticing that and then nag him til cleaned it, then nag him that it wasn't quite right. Before I knew it we had wasted an hour arguing about a damn fridge handle. It was in that moment I realized that he was never going to care about the fridge handle the same way I cared. And if it bothered me that much it should just be my res…
