No, its saying that if your post is about your girlfriend/wife, YOU are most likely to be called an asshole. AITA ratings are about the writer, not the subject of the writing.

Seriously. At least she did the right thing and told him. I understand he's upset, he should be, but the daughter didn't exactly choose to be born from an affair. She only found out a short while before he did too. The dad has every right to do what he did, but that doesn't mean he should have done it.

While we were both working the night shift at our jobs the other night, I mentioned off hand to my dad that I had to get new wiper blades the next day. When my dad got off, despite having to be back in in a few hours, went to the store at 3am, bought me new wiper blades, drove to my work and, in the pouring rain, installed them so I'd be alright driving home in the morning. Dads are the best.

Maximum penalty for the crime probably doesn't allow life without parole, so the 80 years is added on to kick in if she were to be paroled.

The idea is that people can grow to feel remorse and regret their sins, and realize what they did was bad. Confession has to be sincere, you can't just say the words cause you're worried about the consequences. Furthermore, forgiveness from sins in heaven doesn't mean forgiveness from sins on Earth. You're still supposed to be punished for them on Earth.

Yea, pretty much. That's why all the original Christian religions have some form of confession, to ask forgiveness for all the little sins committed on a daily basis. Barring that, the last rights are supposed to be a final act of asking for forgiveness (done by a priest on behalf of someone who can no longer do it on their own). I mean, no offence, but it's not really that complicated.

He did, and she did. It was his.

Coming from a 911 Operator, this stuff happens all the time. We just arrested a lady the other day for calling 911 six times, cussing and threatening us, after she called the first time saying her boyfriend had drank the last of the beer.

Cool. I dont like a .01% chance of losing my dick. I'm happy that my parents prevented that when I was a baby.

It's not "no good reason". The reasons are rare, and there is absolutely an arguement that can be made about doing it without the child's consent, but it's not like it's absolutely pointless. I like my dick. If there's even a .00000001% it could rot and fall off, I'm happy to do something to stop it, especially if whatever needed to be done was done decades ago.

^ This. I am SO FUCKING HAPPY my parents had it done when I was a baby, otherwise I'd have to do it now.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
