more than any interests or opinions we have Many women's interests are exclusionary and don't have much an entry point for men. And the disinterest in opinions goes both ways, most women don't have a shred of curiosity in what men think. But there are those who are curious and they can have conversations. Men just complain about having to deal with women’s emotions and sensitivities, caring about our careers, education and political compatibility, and want us to be “agreeable”, “nurturing” and “…

Maybe that's why you have negative relationships with men. You can't talk to one without condescension.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 11:46 PM

Many social ills arise out of ungrounded, maybe even magical thinking. Undisciplined minds are naturally childish because that's where we all start, and if we don't learn and grow, it's also where we stay. And I see a lot of women that don't want to do those two things. Some of them are narcissists, some are just afraid to grow up and find it uncomfortable, but they all create problems for themselves by not learning these lessons the easy way. Meanwhile, many of the women meet logic with emotion…

Very deliberate sabotage of cultural norms by corporations feeding sexist content to people of all genders.

It's less about signaling virtue and more about signaling practicality. It's basically saying, "we're playing by rules that overall make more sense and make space for more people to actually find what they want. That's a lot more helpful than whatever it is you're doing. "

It's a shame that your professor's takeaway gave Americans a pass. We're culturally sick, and I wish more people understood that. The way he was used to was healthier.

Experiences When I was teenager I used to watch Laci Green videos, she made sex-ed content and it was really educational. I got more of an education about sex, contraceptives, anatomy watching her stuff than any thing I got in school. And I was attracted to her content because I was a curious boy, I wanted to do well in a part of life that I had no experience in, and the anxiety of not knowing how to do what I wanted pushed me to overcompensate through whatever means were available to me. If the…

What is your definition of the ‘male loneliness epidemic’? Male Patterned Social Dislocation. There are many facets to it, but it's important to understand how maleness creates unique struggles in society. Loneliness is honestly a bit of an oversimplification and it opens the topic up to the dismissive argument of "women are lonely too". And women are socially dislocated in their own ways, but it doesn't work the same way. The shortest way I can put it is, it's everything that happens to "Social…

But are you romantically inclined? There are still forms of intimacy that asexual people are open to.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 03:05 PM

It's implied by the rest of the conversation. But fair is fair, I skipped over the neutral language, my bad. Your reasoning is sound, I just think this only gets applied to men and it leaves discussions like these lopsided. Because there's a hypernormalization of women's sexuality (can do no wrong) and heavy scrutiny of men's even of they are respectful other people's personhood.

I think the thing about these women is that they're not used to having to think about how other women date in comparison to themselves. They just want to do their own thing without respecting the fact that there's a whole world outside of them that has shaped the expectations that men are going to have of them. It's way more likely that a woman who comes at a man like this is on that 10 point list rather than being a good match. And they're not used to the idea that they have to prove anything a…

You can’t be that forward with guys they find it weird and off putting, You're doing the male version of the tactless sex request. You can't engage with people like they exist in a vacuum. Men have good reasons not to trust upfront women. Women are really ignorant to the kinds of risks they pose or the suspicions men might have. So they take things for granted "oh the men are just lying about wanting forward women" when the first step is you have to establish that you're trustworthy. It's not th…

Do you interrogate women's sexuality like this? I've seen women basically shop for men, go out with the explicit intention to get some dick for the weekend. Is that not objectification. Is that not using people?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 11:50 AM

Nah, that's how it goes. Between the misandry, general distrust of men, and the overall lack of care, they're not very willing to help. The only time I've ever brought up a woman being my wing man, she joked that she'd probably take the girl first. There's no comradery.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 11:46 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 12:48 AM

It's not strange, it just doesn't happen as much as women say it does. In real life, friendship with women is usually the death of romantic interest, not the start. Familiarity doesn't tend to help men as much as it helps women. I can only guess that it's because women are much more attracted to novelty/need novelty in order to feel anything in the first place. If a woman is used to you and you're not together when it happens, you're probably not going to change that.

They actually kind of are. It's sad, but a lot of our political disposition can be extrapolated from those of relatives. To the degree they aren't, nurture will fill the gaps. Vice versa for nature. Political leanings are a cultural institution and they are sustained over time by raising people within them. You cannot have a progressive society if everyone progressive basically neuters themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 02:05 PM

It's kind of hard to trust people who have a vested interest in certain outcomes and ideas being perpetuated. It takes a lot of faith to accept that someone will admit that they're wrong if they are wrong. And coming from someone like yourself who obviously doesn't have a kind thought about them, it shouldn't be surprising that they don't trust you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 11:54 AM

Being yourself is not compatible with people who endlessly scrutinize others. Dating for men is about turning yourself into a product for window shoppers. Authenticity just means you don't get picked. Women like it when the doll they pick out turns out to be a real person underneath, but at first, they just want the plastic.

The greatest hurdle to Gender Equality as a concept is that is has been attempted in a structurally inequal society and there was not and is not enough societal awareness of just how culturally opposed we are to the kind of values and priorities that could actually make this work. For systems to change and for those changes to last, they have to be a reflection of a working majority of people (Not everyone, just enough to keep it all going) and what's been allowed to grow in the United States is…

It's like there's a hole in the roof during a storm and you've just decided it's not your problem but you're really pissed about all the people coming in and out of the room with buckets to try and contain the problem. I don't think they're dumb, I think they genuinely don't understand morals or what their worth is. It's something they look at, good or bad, and go "So?" I have a hard time wrapping my own mind around a worldview that makes no moral considerations at all, but that seems to be the baseline for a lot of people. Saying you should date good people is like saying you should date people who can blow big bubbles with bubblegum. It's a nonsequitur to what they're enticed by.

Nah... or at least, I wouldn't be doing what I imagine you mean by this. I've got lots of female friends, it's very easy to not walk in their footsteps. A person who just knows throws off the balance. It can be offputting to be that person and get none of it back. I envy the socially blind men sometimes, they're a lot more equipped to be in relationships with women. They don't tend to have that kind of empathetic curiosity for men even if they expect or desire it themselves.

The exemption obviously is if we have a prior agreement Another part of emotional intelligence is remembering that you have a prior agreement and holding yourself to it. Some people will agree to things, not like how it feels to do them and renege on their word and take out their frustration at it on the person they had once agreed to.

Avoiding romantic interest isn't shunning it's respecting a boundary, making a rule not to interact with an entire category of person is shunning. Not conflating the two isn't complicated unless you think men only exist to be romantic interests that you either accept or deny.

This isn't a gotcha. Out of respect for the feelings of anyone who's going through something, I won't be saying my full thoughts. But there are deep differences in how male victimhood is perceived that impact how conversations around it can form. Women have a lot more room to talk openly and candidly about their experiences. And more importantly, there's very little ambiguity in the support that women have on the topic. Either people don't care and make excuses for the abusers, it's very straigh…

I'm not talking about what is normatively correct, whether they have a right to it or not is irrelevant to fixing the problem. This is not about what's okay and what's not okay, it's about what people are incentivized to do. -Harassment, vaguely threatening behavior. -Harassing, blatantly disrespecting clear boundaries. -Harassing, socially ignorant, annoying. I don't think those things are okay. I'm talking about unwanted attention, not unwanted attention that is also harassment. Gay women helping gay men in an intra-community crisis is not a generalizable phenomena. I rarely if ever see circumcision discussed on here as a genuine problem by men and when it is, the focus is on using it as evidence that men are owed pity and hand holding, rather than a genuine effort or petition to ban the practice. Policing how other people engage with their own issues is real classy. Men do not have free reign to speak about what affects them most, and this is not a safe place for men t…

I’m doing exactly what that woman over there is doing! Date me!” No. It wouldn’t. It's not about dating. It's about holding people morally culpable for approaching reasons they cannot know. So to me it's like all men here think of boil down to mating and sex and literally nothing else. How can we talk about anything with men like these? Forgive me, but my experience here is that no matter how detailed or comprehensive my point is, there's always some woman to come along and say "we just don't want to fuck you, it's not that deep." I'm fighting the urge to be hyperbolic in my examples. All I can say is this. But almost any time all men here want to talk about is sex. Sex. Sex. Sex. So what? Common sense doesn't score points with the girlies. It's telling that the men say "No, because it's been tried and doesn't work." and the women say "No, and you're pathetic for wanting it. PS. I'm not going to fuck you." I think one is more good faith than the other, but it's still an impasse.

Yeah, this is kind of a problem with treating gender relations like we're all fighting our grandparents battles (at least after a certain age range). The field is different and young men have very different relationships to their female peers than older generations. You can play the game of unilateral concession in the 1960s and 70s, one sided empathy, because the disparities are large enough and the social impact of prejudices against women are self-evident, it's part of daily life and you can'…

who sexualize women whether it makes sense in the given context or not. This is circular logic when what "makes sense" is itself decided by women in the moment. There is no standard by which men can abide, it's just aggregate contextual opinion. This is expecting men to read minds and abide by cultural expectations of a culture they're not a part of. Men aren't women and cannot be reasonably expected to know what women feel is and isn't appropriate. So this just comes off as you (general you) wa…

So if men need to lie and manipulate to get sex from women, then women can lie and manipulate to get what they want from men, right? These conversations will make a lot more sense if you first recognize and internalize that women already do whatever the negative hypothetical reciprocation you think of is. Men do not lie to women by default. We start earnest and honest, and then we see how women react to it. They punish it, they shout it down, they ridicule it, they dismiss it, take it for grante…

When women make more, they still want more. Women do not seek out wealthy men simply as a survival tactic. It's a reflection of their values and desires. There's only a contradiction if you think that women's attraction to wealth is a rational choice that will change when their circumstances do. Being with an independent woman is basically guaranteed to avoid beta buxxing - if she doesn't need you to provide for her financially, she's definitely with you because she actually desires you and enjo…

Part of the problem is that ambivalence to other people's situation that you're talking about right there. It is deeply unacceptable for men to have the attitude you have, toward women. And that in of itself is a source of tension. Men being expected to take on burdens that women can't even be asked to consider or think about for curiosity's sake. Part of what makes dating so unrelentingly ruthless is the cultural reproduction of values and attitudes which celebrate all the impulses that make dating dysfunctional. Men were more able to shrug it off because it doesn't hit as close to home since they don't fear this as much. Nah, sis. It really ain't like that. For some kinds of people that's the only way they get to that position, but most get to where they are through a mixture of nepotism, good impressions, and social support. Just to piggyback off of this, I think the ways men and women see this is because women are arguing from a place of ideals and men are arguing from a place of logistics. Men are thinking about what things will be like and what it will take to make it work. Women are thinking about what's in alignment with their values, the norms they expect to be followed, etc. And those two things will clash because reality doesn't care what you think is right if it doesn't work. Nah, social validation is a very small part of why I want a relationship. It's nice for other people to know that I'm capable of having an attractive partner, but their opinion doesn't matter to me that much to make lifestyle choices on that alone. Closeness is the point of a physical relationship. If your friends don't want physical relationships with men then they are not attracted to them. They need to introspect if that's how they feel about men's bodies.

In your community, is the operative word. There's nothing with it in an environment where everyone is largely on the same page. The broader dating pool is much more of a free for all and it gets people hurt when their values aren't a match for the people around them, or even for themselves (there's peer pressure to be more sexual than is individually comfortable, in some contexts).

How does women controlling other women’s sexual behavior make men’s standards higher? That's not what I said? I'm confused how you go that. The idea isn't about control, it's moral considerations. I would like it if more women just pushed back on being casually cruel to men if they see it in their friend groups. The idea that you would consider cruelty to men as something to avoid is something that would raise the standards on women's behavior, not men's. There are already standards for men. Man…

Why would they? Consideration for each other, consideration for what the general affect of unregulated behavior has on other women. Reaction doesn't discriminate among those that it's directed at. Being harsher to people about their mistakes only affects those who care, the ones who don't won't listen. The point of being harsher on women is to create a culture where even those that don't care have to pay lip service to some kind of general ideal of behavior. Whether it's a reflection of their personal values or not. The problem that men face is that women create loopholes to the standards of behavior that men are held to, that exist to keep them safer than they otherwise would be, so they…

The solution is and will always be to get the girls to a place where they don't repeat these cycles. We give women too much space in our culture to act on instinct without judging them for it. That idea is a bit half-cooked, but there is a discrepancy in the overall utility of the kinds of jobs women tend to do and the kinds of jobs that some men tend to do. We'll live without the office jobs and cubicles. We won't live well without the nurses. That's the women. I think this is an empathy issue- It is an empathy issue. Because if a woman wants to cut someone off for any reason, we don't sit around talking about why that was wrong of them. We respect that women can do whatever they please with their time and their company, yet we do not accept that level of agency from men. You expect a man to show up to a relationship no matter how dissatisfied he is with it. And beyond the hypocrisy of it, it's just not sustainable. So it stands to reason that they’d b…

This is a very hostile place, and it works well as a tool for killing/poisoning your feelings toward the opposite sex. Empathy for women is a necessity for every long term relationship that isn't built on threats. Keeping a woman happy is all that modern relationships are. And to keep someone happy, you have to learn and care about what they like, what they think, what they value. You have to be a source of emotional comfort. You have to anticipate their moods, you have to give grace when they lash out and restrain yourself when you feel like doing it yourself. The degree of emotional discipline and empathy that…

This thousand years of oppression myth has got to end. Most of humanity has been oppressed for as long as civilization has existed. It's not unique to women. Men weren't running around having a big party for 10,000 years. Up until very recently most of mankind have been slaves, serfs, and peasants. Without a single right to their names. Pity may kill desire, but pity is not the result of understanding it's a symptom of a lack of it. If a woman actually understood what men are going through, pity's not going to be the emotion that comes with that. Pity is a dehumanizing feeling. The biggest problem with women isn't a lack of desire. It's the ignorance and dehumanization. I would rather have a thousand women just get it, than have 10 that understood nothing that wanted to have sex with me. It's really not as much of a priority as…

If you're part of a society, you are entitled to a place in it. I'm not talking about just dating. There are many ways in which women and men talk past one another because language is a flawed representation of the ideas people have in their head. One thing I notice with women is that they tend to engage with language like it's a collection of euphemisms, there's an assumption of subtext, the emotional connotations around a word are often more meaningful than the words themselves. And the differences in how "preference" is used is a very good example of how men are often using descriptive lan…

Why would women advocate for this? Because those particular women have what they want out of life and don't think the poors deserve to have access to it.

They're usually more of the "Keep the broke men away from me and my riches" type. I don't think they care much what happens to poor women.

Do you want a class-based dating system? Many on this sub have explicitly advocated for this. The poor should date each other or not date at all is a common enough opinion from the women here. This is a lowkey very bougie sub.

Yeah, this is what I meant by "pretty doesn't think about logistics". Women want things to be seamless, and the more thinking they're doing, the worse the situation must be. They're looking for an experience, not to collect details.

why don’t women understand Their relationship with cause and effect is different than men's tends to be. Attractive women live in a world where things just happen without their direct input. Good things, bad things, a lot of things, and the more visible they are the more things happen. Their presence is itself a catalyst for other people to act. And it's been like that since many of them were children. They come of age in a world that can at times be more dynamic than themselves. And I'm startin…

Or do they simply create even more vitriol? One would ask if that's not the point. If communicating was the point, they'd probably care about being listened to more than than they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 12:31 PM

We gotta get more comfortable judging people for doing bad things. We try to philosophize such simple things and moral relativism just results in anarchic attitudes where no one is to blame for anything.

openly ace women is too small to draw conclusions There aren't a lot of openly ace people at all, so maybe it's best to put impressions on a curve. I know two. And they've been at least much less toxic than the women that who have active sex lives. They're still not super comfortable with sex, but it's a generalized attitude that isn't strictly directed at men. And the consistency there is much easier to work with. So I generally think most women I'll interact with do fit specific narratives pro…

Yes, and to the degree there are contradictions between the two they aren't going to be centered because they're aligned on the practical side of things; attacking men who complain. I don't think the normative arguments really have that much to say about what women go through because most would acknowledge their struggles. But because they're not solution oriented in any situation, there's no need in their mind to explore the idea, accepting the "truth" is enough. So long as it's the social trut…

pushing for balance and shared responsibility. With what leverage could this be achieved? That's kind of the kicker with gender relations, the other gender has to at least tentatively give you the space to move beyond the old expectations. Virtually no women go from "not attracted" to "attracted" just because some other woman was interested in him. I acknowledge the possibility of a moderate impact on attractiveness for some women if they're otherwise neutral This is what they mean by women rephrasing their points back to them, unchanged, just with different words. Not attracted and neutral are the same things. It just feels more "fair" to say neutral, I'm guessing. I'm not entirely sure what distinction you're seeing here.

So why are men’s dating issues the only one everyone woman should actively know/support etc? It's not the only one. But it's so simple to understand and it's so general that it should be the easiest to talk about. It's not like an oil pipeline that only goes through a couple states that barely gets reported on in the news. The barrier to entry on the issue is very low. why do men so likely to be ok with buying women It's like you said, it's about likely outcomes. Finding a woman that can't be bought in some form, isn't very likely. Most women expect to be won over. It's very rare that a woman likes a man just because, usually there's something more to it, some kind of narrative, something extra impressive. And what impresses women usually isn't free. Suppressed desires, even if not acted on directly, affect how people engage with others. And when it comes to women, what they demand and expect of men is one way that manifests. A woman who has an itch she isn't scratching is going to look for socially acceptable substitutes.

I understand the visual appeal, but not the practice. The idea that it's just a thing people do when they're bored with their relationships should be more... examined? I guess that'd be the right word. People desensitizing themselves to intimacy and trying to twist it up should be a cause for concern. The idea that your partner in life is someone that you trust to beat/restrain you tastefully just seems a bit fucked up. Lots of kinks and paraphilias disturb me Are there any that don't?

How exactly would accurate information on that be acquired? It's a kink that most semi-socialized people would suppress and not act on. So there is an issue that the "nice guys " clearly can't figure out on their own at all but they expect random everyday people to have the perfect answers for it? ' They expect women to represent their desires and actions accurately and clearly. You really think there is one magic truth and all people are just hiding it from you? So many people fail to communicate even a personal truth, that's it'd be premature to talk about a universal one. Most men when asking for advice are asking for the inp…

Yes, but they have to be simple. This is a very broad social group and the only thing that holds it together is "not doing well" and "not lashing out over it". Most young men are some version of that now.

Note: I'm taking "redpilling" as a term for being critical of women, not a specific set of ideals and assumptions. I don't think most young men are red-pillers. But they are souring on women and becoming more politically reactionary. Yeah, and that recent set of polling about men becoming less supportive of gender equality also supports this. Because they noticed the biggest dip in attitudes toward women among men with female friends, men who went on dates. It's very much an exposure-driven prej…

Most people are not conscious enough to engage with their prejudices or biases towards young men and their very unique social position. Most of the problems that young men face on this front are kind of double bind because they rely on the very people that care the least about them to be addressed. More established or successful men don't want to be associated and they can show that either through hostility or indifference but they won't be dragged in unless they have themselves given up on wome…

Nothing stingy about financial independence. Personally, I insist on splitting even if they are pretty. Because I don't like spoiled women. Edit: And also because I don't like feeding the idea that having things paid for is some kind of bribe or dividend that women get for being attractive. I've got pretty friends, they genuinely expect to get free shit when they go out. As much as I can, I try not to enable those attitudes when I get the chance.

Ah, I get what you're saying now. Just my two cents: I think we had a working model on how to address misogyny up until the 2010s. Attitudes toward gender equality were up, women's social performance was up across the board, gender norms were getting questioned and social attitudes were changing. But, cultural overreach, continued economic instability (which was bad enough after 2008), moral panics around predatory behavior*, and a culture of discriminatory promiscuity have all worn down the soc…

What good does comparing two different people do? I don't think the assumption there is that women care much for what's good or practical. It's pure instinct and demand. They compare because they want what they had and they want it now even though the person they got it from is gone. So now you (person being compared) must either meet their demand or get judged for it.

Misogyny long predates feminism or female resentment toward men. There is no way to date misogyny or misandry. Prejudices are as old as perception and preference. Likely older than humanity itself. Fear of males, fear of females, there are animals who are shy of the opposite sex or hostile. It's not something you can put a number to. And feminism =/= misandry. It's just that most modern feminists in the United States are at least fellow travelers with misandrists if not are themselves. Ruling me…

In a culture that actively spreads that idea to as many people as possible, that's not a sustainable attitude. That's my point. Human existence requires people being broadly on the same page about certain basic things. Having children is one of those things. Feminism has a very mixed philosophical and social footprint because there's not just one kind of feminism. There's a feedback loop here. It's easy to not support women when their only interactions with women are either dismissive or hostile. Knowing how they'll change over time is hard. But if you end up with a guy like that ? I have to assume that you weren't paying attention for signs. Or you weren't looking for men that had signs of being the opposite of this in the first place. Contrary to popular imagination, you can find a man that washe…

Of course. That's a large part why I don't date. It feels fake. I shouldn't have to treat myself like a product to be sold in order to find love. Or maybe she'd accept the truth anyway but you'll never know? I try to have faith in women as they come, I do try to keep that door open when it makes sense to. I'm sure there's someone out there that wants something close to what I want. But at the moment, there's not much room in my life for that anyway.

Men who are desirable don’t have to lie to women. There are more reasons to lie than just for sex.

Why would single women have an opinion on it? The same reason why 12 year old boys bring up divorce statistics. They've internalized a narrative that feeds a collective grievance. Victim blaming. It's not a crime to be lazy and having a lazy partner doesn't make anyone a victim. Why is "choose better " valid in this scenario but not valid when a woman is a golddigger or takes everything in the divorce? It is valid. Being with women like that is a mistake.

Do you believe being dishonest about important things to avoid loneliness is morally justified? No. That's why I don't lie. Women just don't respect the effect of the incentives they create. And they sidestep it by judging the consequences of their own actions. Most people aren't moral because of internal reasons. They do what makes a way for them through the world. Putting your life on hold for a principle isn't a reasonable thing to do. And making the choice to be unreasonable has hurt me. Fre…

Men on the other hand hardly ever get played. Most men don't have anything that women want enough to trick them for it. There's a motive and opportunity difference, not ability. And many of the men that do have something women want, they're also in a strong enough position that the women have to be careful of the consequences of screwing them over. Few men are in a sweet spot of having something valuable, without a lot of recourse if they're taken advantage of. divorce Not touching this because …

*Most Adult women are generally too set in their ways to relearn how to engage with men in a way that's healthier both for themselves and for men. Generally they don't care to change as objectifying men makes their lives easier, some others genuinely seem to not know how to change, and I have to keep living in the doomed world that's been created by a generation of conditioning young girls and women to see men as a combination sex toy/status symbol/vicious animal/ATM/and emotional support. There…

I think the internet might be an exception that proves a rule. You get that kind of treatment precisely because actual life is so baren in terms of trustworthy people that can be spoken to. I think most men would prefer to speak about their problems with someone that cares about them, but they'll settle for someone that can't hurt them. You're a stranger behind a screen, that gives you lots of safety points.

Because it oversimplifies a dynamic that exists because women cannot tolerate honesty from men. Men will be honest when women stop punishing earnesty and transparency. We adapt to them, not the other way around. If you see a behavior in men that's extremely common, it's an adaptation to women or to the environments that they go into to find women. If a man is fully truthful, he will be alone. And it doesn't seem like you care about that last part (the general you). There's a long strain of think…

Nobody deserves, they just get what they get. It's as arbitrary as anything else. There's nothing about being attractive that necessarily means you'll get what you want or be treated well by others. It just means more people want to have sex with you than otherwise. Women choose to treat men well according to their attraction. They could choose a different metric if they so please. But that would take moral development and philosophies that many simply aren't interested in. But it is up to them,…

while if shes reserved and you go hit on her and she lets you court her, it feels to most men as if theyre special Just because a women is difficult for you doesn't mean she's difficult for everybody. I really do think it's just down to whether it feels normal or not. But I understand what you're saying. All I can say is this. When men approach, we have to be sure that we want to do that. There's a sunk cost to investing time into a woman. And that decisiveness makes entertaining doubts counter-…

the general impression is they think they want to be pursued but they actually want to feel like the conquerer I disagree. You're placing women approaching in a vacuum but you're describing a thought process that takes place in a particular social context. Women approaching men in our present day comes with certain connotations. And more over men have been exposed to certain ideas and actions of women that makes how a woman interacts with a man more sensitive than it actually has to be. We live …

That you are responsible for 'minding their time, or whatever that means. Yeah, to the degree that I can I will acknowledge them and then firmly say no and move on with my day. but the insinuation that women are at fault for not smiling and nodding them they feel bothered by men is something we don't expect of other groups That's not what I said. And it is an expectation that's placed on every group of people except the wealthy and powerful. Civility is expected of all normal people. I don't get…

women aren’t behaving like men Women are behaving like men, just in the ways that serve them. It's not something that any man has an obligation to have patience for. Being a member of society means engaging with it in a responsible fashion. And one responsibility that exists in society is to not burden others unduly. If you're involved in something you pull your weight, make things work, be proactive in creating sensible outcomes. You don't have to date every man that talks to you, but you do ha…

I didn't say that. Only we’re not cannon fodder usually (there are after all women in the army), we’re breeding mares, and no one cares about that. Some of the largest protests in world history have been organized around the lives and protection of women. There were 3-4 million people who participated in the women's march. There are political parties that organize around your interests. There are social codes in place for how to treat you (chivalry, dead as it is). All on account of womanhood an…

Also what the fuck do you mean “men have no inherited value”? We're cannon fodder and treated as such. Unless you've got money or an army, you will be treated according to how much you have. That's what it means. It's not an ideological position, it's an observation of our lives. It'd be like asking a woman "what do you mean men have been harassing you all your life, does it make your life better to think about your life that way?" It's your life, things happened in it, and being honest about it…

There's already less women. There's really no further damage that can be done that hasn't already happened. There's nothing to salvage. It's like saying about a totaled car that can't drive "Why are you taking out the steering wheel? Don't you need that?" The car's broken, friend. If less women participate in dating because they don't trust men or like them, it's not affecting men's prospects. They were never going to date anyone. So why not just prioritize mental health? I think it'd be good fo…

And why do you assume women’s preferences are about impressing anyone else? Because my life is full of women who do exactly that and say as much. Friends, family, it's always a factor. And it's especially a factor when it comes to height. Some of us just know what we want without putting on a show. Well I hope this attitude spreads. I'm more than a bit tired of the usual. But what I said is clear - shaming people for not meeting preferences isn’t okay, whether it’s men or women doing it. And wha…

It's not high self esteem to have no problems with how other people act.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 02:02 PM

It's more a socially perceived characteristic. The same way most women can clock a guy who's "too shy", but not necessarily every shy man is going to get that label, and some people that aren't shy will also be labelled. It's like that with promiscuity. Men are sensitive to women who sleep around a lot. Doesn't mean they're always right about who does what and how much, but it's a sensitivity.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 01:56 PM

It's not something you have to say. Women's preferences are judgments, anything that makes a man look worse in the eyes of the people a woman wants to impress (including herself) is what women are against. There's no getting away from it.
