Can you tell me who your therapist is so I can make 200% sure I stay far, far away from them?

I'm not sure why being kind and graceful is a bad thing, or even difficult? Sure, you might get upset in moments, but being kind is an approach. You can. It's not necessary to me evil to someone while still getting an attorney and beginning divorce proceedings

That's not how life works in the USA either. If the OP attacks her back, he'll be labeled the abusive one and he'll lose his child even faster. The only "real" solution is to talk to a lawyer and see if it's legal to record her maybe? And even then I'm not sure it would help. In the US anyway.

"A lot of men don’t seem confused about what happened." - I do. And I think most do. Some just react differently. We might blame her, or ourselves, or lash out in anger due to hurt or fear. Or break down into an emotional wreck. Or just plain fear. Fear of losing a role, all we've know for the greater portion of our adult lives in some cases half (or more) of everything we own. The fear of being unable to support ourselves, let alone our children when trying to pay two rents, two car payments, t…

"A part of my brain keeps thinking… praying? that one of us will blink… she’ll call and apologize. I’ll admit my faults. We will put it behind us. She will be in my arm again? But that’s never going to happen. I’m so angry with myself for not knowing how to stop this snowball." God damn I feel this in my soul. I'm not angry at her though. At the moment I'm bewildered. I only get angry at her when I try get her to tell me what happened, or what is happening and she refuses and gets angry at ME fo…

Bloody hell. 6 days is like a menstrual cycle. My wife and I haven't in almost 5 years.

This is what I'm terrified of tbh. I don't give two shits what she tells the kids, I just want to be sure she can actually feed them. But I have to be able to feed myself too. And stay sane. :(

Good advice. I've actually been looking. Finding a lawyer to trust is harder than finding a mechanic or a contractor though. Costs a bloody fortune to find out if he/she is nothing but a leach. :(

I'm struggling with this now. We've been together almost 30 years. But she tells me I am, and have always been (!?) "emotionally abusive" and mean. I asked her to do couples therapy, but she refused. "You'll just lie to the therapist"??? wtf. I have literally zero idea what is going on and where this suddenly came from. But, god forbid I question her or ask why? Then I'm being abusive or gas-lighting. Every single time I disagree with her, about anything. At all. It's just miserable.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
