It's not that bad, tbh. Some scenes even are pretty good and true to the original run imo, but they have scenes that are like this just often enough that it's hard to just ignore.

They had 1/3 of an episode in the new series be a lazy metaphor for guns and used it to make a shitty strawman argument against the 2A, as if anyone who supports the 2A is some idiot psycho.

There is a line in the opening that changes every episode. The "no mansplain-y" is one of the lines used and, in addition to being in the trailer, was used for episode 3, iirc. (it was for sure one of the first 4 episodes, I just am not 100% sure which one right now)

Personally I think people caught falsely accusing another of rape should face the sentence of their would be victim. Prison time and becoming a registered sex offender. Force them to go door to door and tell all their neighbors they falsely accused another person of rape for personal profit.

Without the link to the actual proof of these two statements we can only speculate, but burning a flag is very much not illegal in the US. If the dude got 16 years there was a lot more going on than just burning the flag and the website that posted it likely made that headline seem otherwise specifically to generate outrage (read "clicks").
