She’s literally responding to a comment that’s shaming feminists.

The person shaming has a penis.

It does if you have a penis.

My husband and I have separate private times, and together times. I don’t have a problem with him seeing pictures of other girls, and he doesn’t have a problem with me doing it. But we’re pretty comfortable in our relationship, so maybe not the best to talk.

I didn’t say about pregnancy, I’m sure husbands and significant others would have no problem paying for that. Or even fathers who wanted their children. But child support is different. Child support is almost 100% after the child is born, and is now a living human being. What your saying is that men should be able to impregnate a woman and have no responsibility, instead leaving it all to her. She has to pay equal (and usually more) for the child, but also go through the horrors of child birth. …

Because you can recover from financial hardship. In most states, you don’t have to pay anything for the pregnancy itself, and the mother most provide proof of paternity in the others. So there isn’t a financial burden until the child is born. The woman will be equally responsible for the child created, it isn’t a one way street. I don’t know why most men believe that women just don’t pay anything for their children, do you have any idea how expensive a child is? While I won’t deny that there are…

That’s why I said she may not. Just because the percentage of births ending in death has gone down, doesn’t mean it’s gone completely. Should we force other surgery’s or procedures on people, because of the potential mental anguish of others? Should cancer patients be forced into chemo because their family demands it? And the mental ramifications for a man are not equal the the physical ramifications to a woman. Pregnancy changes your body in permanent ways. It’s not a case of popping the baby o…

Um, because it’s her body that’s going to be messed up. Physical health wise, the father gets no repercussions from her having an abortion. Sure, he may be mentally devastated, but he will survive. She may not.

How about if men don’t want anything to do with their children, then they can sign away all rights and visitation. And if they change their minds later on, they have to pay back pay no matter the child’s age.

Right… So she pays half and he pays half…. Like child support…

Put your bias aside, and realize this is r/PurplePillDebate, not r/InsultWritingCapabilities. She gave her argument, and you insulted her writing instead of debating with her. How about instead of flaunting whatever intellectual superiority complex you have, you give her a counterpoint to her argument?

But birth control can also be extremely harmful to women both in physical and mental health. Why should a woman take on all the side effects of drugs, when men have an easy and efficient solution? And, sure, abstinence is always an option. But that’s not what we’re discussing. We’re saying two people are having sex, no ifs, ands, or buts. They are having sex, so who has more control? Even if we say they have equal responsibility, that brings us back to the original question asked. Why should the…

It doesn’t matter who courts who, whether it’s just a casual hookup, or a committed relationship. Sure, birth control is a thing available to women, but speaking as a woman who was on it when she got pregnant, it’s fallible. Men meanwhile have multiple different options, from their own birth control to condoms to just pulling out. But if men didn’t pay child support, women would be the only ones taking responsibility. Sure, abortion is an option in some cases. But I didn’t even have any symptoms…

Right, and by that logic they both made a mistake. I don’t understand why men have such an issue with child support, especially if you expect to have any role in your child’s life. It’s not about making the man pay for his mistakes, it’s about making sure the child is taken care of. Who else should be responsible, but the two who created the kid?

So, she gave a compelling argument, and instead of giving a counter argument, you just insulted her. Oh yeah, your a real winner.

There’s nothing wrong with feeling that way, but I don’t think most men understand that women can also feel that way about them. It’s down to preference, and I think both sexes need to realize that. It’s the same as preferring blondes, or someone who is a gym rat. You don’t have to like everyone.

Men are the ones who constantly complain about women not loving them though? You aren’t entitled to love either, dude.

You are actually disgusting. What the hell is the matter with you? Men’s rights subs happily announce how they wish rape was legal and that women would go back to being practically slaves. And you have the goddamn audacity to blame that on other women. Wow. Way to victim blame, you misogynist.

My fiancé is 11 years older than I am, and while I get some surprised looks, it’s not really a big deal. If you don’t make a big deal about it, no one who matters will either.
