In regards to most of these statements I wonder: why? Half of these ‘privileges’ are precautions put in place to prevent worse inequality because of the the physical inferiority and general vulnerability of women as well as the tendency for men to abuse those.

I guess some people just aren’t meant for relationships based on love, sacrifice and - you know - actually giving a shit about the other person. I hope you find what you’re looking for in the beautiful naked women pretending to enjoy a terrible imitation of sex on your screen.

Then you communicate, hopefully. And hopefully you find strength to overcome a rough patch in a healthy manner. I would certainly hope my partners’ love for me would outlast a short period of time if I’m somehow unable to cater to all of their sexual needs. If not, I would definitely feel like the importance they place on their personal sexual gratification is bigger than the need they place on me being comfortable. Although sex is important, it’s not a right. It’s not the be-all end-all (althou…

It’s not different for women. Relationships with big age gaps like that are unhealthy to begin with unless somehow both partners’ libidos magically match. Even if this is somehow the case, age-gap relationships are far from ideal to begin with: there’s often complications in terms of power imbalance, age-related (health / funeral needs) and a disparity in life goals/ perspectives. Even if you take the age out of the equation, for almost every relationship to work, libidos should be at least some…

What’s missing here is the discussion of the ethical aspect of producing porn. It’s not like these are the only studies on pornography. You’ll have a very hard time finding solid research proposing positive effects of pornography (unless funded by the industry itself). Porn websites have not only hosted but also profited off of child pornography and rape. It’s very hard to verify consent (especially on ‘amateur’ content), not only consent to partake in sexual activity but also consent to record …

It’s not like these are the only studies on pornography. You’ll have a very hard time finding solid research proposing positive effects of pornography (unless funded by the industry itself). And besides, the general lack of interest in the ethical aspect of the production is really concerning. Porn websites have not only hosted but also profited off of child pornography and rape. It’s very hard to verify consent (especially on ‘amateur’ content), not only consent to partake in sexual activity bu…

Even without the addiction element, pornography is problematic and unethical. Obviously I have no say in what you find healthy / normal, but your final ‘low testosterone’ comment is really strange to me. Interestingly enough, frequent masturbation actually lowers testosterone utilization https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Alonso_Fernandez-Guasti/publication/6536830_Relationship_between_Sexual_Satiety_and_Brain_Androgen_Receptors/links/54b6c2970cf2e68eb27f0321/Relationship-between-Sexual-Satiet…

I agree. Every porn addicted men I’ve attempted to date told on themselves from day 1. They have a very warped sense of what sex should be, they view women as sums of parts instead of a whole, they use pornified vocabulary, are obsessed with sex above all else all the time, they think they’re entitled to lots of sex all the time while they can’t even get their dicks hard and they expect me to enjoy things that have never been enjoyable to any woman ever

Commitment is about sacrifice. And if you have a healthy sex life those extreme ‘sexual urges’ that you’re a slave to that ‘force you’ to watch porn are probably mostly due to your porn addiction and lack of self control

It’s impossible to convince porn-addicted men that there are other men out there who genuinely aren’t addicted and still view jerking off to unrealistic videos of dehumanized women pretending to enjoy an aggressive reenactment of sex as cheating

Wait hold on is the argument seriously ’well at least we don’t literally enslave women, deny them education and autonomy, force them into marriage or mutilate their genitals, so why do they still complain??’
