Discussing gender issues--my friend wants me to abandon the 'MRA' label because they feel the movement is beyond redemption and I don't want to be guilty by association of propping up the far rightI used to be pretty defensive of the mra label but i think i get it now. Like imagine you're on someone's profile and you see they label themselves as a radfem. Do you think "oh a feminist, i wonder what they think about ..." Or is it more "i am probably going to read some terf shit from that person". So yeah in order to not poison your own well, you should probably pick another label. I'd probably go with egalitarian if i were you | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 05/02/25 11:17 AM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?To be frank i didn't check his profile before replying to you so he appeared to be in good faith but yeah maybe he isn't | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 08:10 PM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?Personnally, i think both of them are severe enough in their consequences that any difference in severity between them (if there is any) would be negligeable and wouldn't warrant a separate category | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 04:18 PM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?So yeah you do believe that rape requires the penetration of the victim. But then why use this definition instead of any other? (for example: legally, in france rape is defined as penetration of the victim or the aggressor without the victim's consent which would include men that are forced to penetrate) | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 03:50 PM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?Let's not insult him, it would be counter productive since he doesn't seem to be here in bad faith | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 02:27 PM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?I can't find a definition of rape in the previous comment thread so i'll assume you think rape requires the victim to be penetrated. If so, why do you think being made to penetrate is not as severe as rape? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 11:44 AM
How is this sub different from r/MensRights or r/RedPill?What is your definition of rape? because being forced to penetrate someone sounds awfully similar to rape | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 20/10/23 10:50 AM
