Just so you guyz know, it's not all terrible in Ireland. There are a good few women centric services like this one, but there are groups that are targeting men specifically as DV victims such as amen.ie, though I have honestly never seen them out and about campaigning like this. I don't think the community is going to accept feminism. Just by looking at the backlash against Anita Sarkeesian. She did get a lot of support but also an equal amount of rejection and a whole lot of people not caring. I'm from Ireland and this is the first time I've ever heard of this law or a case like this where both people were underage and the boy was being held responsible. I know if someone is under the age of fifteen the other person will be given a harsher sentence then if they are under 17(which is the age of consent). Yeah, it's bad what happened to the kid but I do think getting the police involved is unnessecary at that age. 13-15 is too early for them to be put through the legal system for this. If they had of been say 17-18 then I think they should consider pursueing legal action. They are young enough that they would still be learning what's accetable behaviour and not fully aware of the consequences of their actions etc.
