10	Tips for someone entering college as a freshman? I'm a freshman right now, so I don't know everything about college yet. But the best way to meet girls would be to join a fraternity, trust me. Now if a fraternity's not your thing, you still have many easy (obvious) options. Show up early to your classes and sit by girls you'd want to talk to. Leave your dorm room open whenever you can, it allows you to be more open and sociable. Join a class like Yoga or Ballroom/Salsa Dancing. Or do something like Marching Band or Theatre. 2	Can someone explain silences or gaps in conversation and how it helps build attraction? I don't know the answer as well as others probably do, but here's my take on it. Being silent shows that you're very comfortable with yourself and you don't need validation from anyone.
