Hey, I totally forgot! Birth control pills can really help with the fluctuations of your hormones and alleviate a lot of symptoms of pms like mood swings, acne, and cramps. They are not all the same and she may need to find the right one for her. I find that one high in progesterone seems to help me the best. I have PMS on steroids called PMDD. Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. There's a small chance she may suffer from this and need additional medical help for it.

It has to be for an evolutionary reason. Right before pms, you're more sexually charged. Perhaps this is the body's way of punishing us (and maybe in turn, our mates) for not getting pregnant.
