it's seductive to think we are determined from the first few years, but humanity disproves this time and time over. you can go from one attachement styel to the next very easily, kids outgrow and flourish after abusive childhoods - it's all nonesense.

attachment theory has been debunked. they have determined that socio economic factors play the most important role in "attachment". it's more reductive nonsense.

i mean the dude's response at the end - it cuts through to the core of this matter. stop rating yourself by others' measures.

sometimes all i care abotu is sex. one track mind. a total focus. an obsession. a total engagement. what is wrong with that? this is how men get shamed sexually. It's now suddenly a "problem." it's not a problem. to say it's a problem pits people up against themselves.

There is nothing inherently wrong with being motivated by sex. Sex and connection is wonderful. I wouldn't feel bad for being motivated, in certain instances, primarily by sex. What i would question is whether you want more out of your intimate connections with women? Is this all there is to intimacy? Sometimes it is, sometimes it isnt. What do you want?

as for this: " I actually read a comment on a youtube video that for a man the experience of unrequited love or desire is worse than the experience of rape for a woman! Its like for them a woman rejecting them is literal violence towards them." what a terrifying portrayl of dangerous neediness. comparing your own hurt to the worst of sexual violence. pathetic and dangerous . there's no other word for it.

let's go about this a different way. let's say they DO care, and care a lot. And you're not up to measurement. Then what? We can reassure you all we want, but if you have that insecurity then maybe it's best just to accept it. The quicker you accept it, the quicker you will be able to move on. Your sexual energy will be freed. Your insecurity is hte "still point of hte turning world", your whole way of being might rotate around it. if re-assurance doesn't work, and i suspect it doesn't - then wh…

it's because you're getting in your own way. try letting go. try talking to a woman as if she's not a prize to be won, as the patraichy will have us do nearly every time. break beyond expectations. you're very trying and making everything perfect is what will stop your natural energy from appearing.

dude, read up on toxic masculinity. we are not barberic cave men any more. read feminism. read what it is like to this live in this world. forget all "gender roles." read the humanities, art, literature, poetry.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
