Rubbish. What about how this community speaks about single mothers then? People like my sister who have been in the same committed relationship since high school, married and had kids, and then the relationship has eventually ended - the way they are spoken about here trashes them too. Bitter, sad guys who may not be responsible for their height or their looks, but are.definitely responsible for their repugnant attitudes.

Agreed. And the very regular posting of nudes online to reddit pages... doesn't seem like typical, average behaviour to me.

Had a little look on her profile, and I don't think she is your 'average single girl' - she posts nudes just about every second day. Seems like she really really needs external validation. My single days pre-date tinder and OLD, but I wouldn't have done that, and nor would any of my friends... maybe things have changed a lot since then though.

I really enjoy the ridiculous ways they entertain themselves when you get a group of them together - "Let's ride our bikes off the roof into the pool." I guess they (generalisation) live in the moment better than women (generalisation). This also means they don't consider consequences and end up hurting themselves doing stupid shit... but it's all fun to them (up until that point). My guy mates have running jokes and traditions that they have kept alive for some 15 years. Fast to forgive and don…

So you could have a relationship with at least one or two reasonably attractive women with good personalities, but you don't want to because: 1) you wouldn't be able to be a good, honest boyfriend? Which, I guess that's honourable in its own way... And that is because 2) You want a higher status/quality/attractiveness/dream woman. You're doing exactly what the guys in this group complain about women doing though. You're turning down perfectly good, nice partners because you want a female-chad or…

Not necessarily, but I thought there would be a bit more rational discussion. I am open to seeing both sides, but not seems like when I ask a question I just get an irrational, raging tirade that goes off on a tangent and doesn't really address the question. I've just been speaking with a guy who is saying that women are hypergamous and too picky, egotistical etc. On further discussion he says that all of the 8's he's dated are looking to play games and upgrade to a higher guy ... but a few mess…

I care more about work ethic than income. It doesn't matter if he is a barista or a barrister. When I met my husband he was in an entry level position and i made more than him, there were times during our relationship where one or both of us didn't have a job (but were actively looking) and i worked 2 jobs while he was starting a business (that ultimately didnt work out.- but thats ok). Now he is in a high level (but stressful) role and making bigger money. And I would fully support him if he wa…

It's almost pointless to debate at this point, because no matter how many good points the other side outs forth - the other doesn't want to hear it or believe it. Nobody is changing anyone else's minds here.

So you know plenty of "7s" who have good personalities, but you are going for 8+ with worse personalities...? Yet the RP community says that women are hypergamous, too picky, and are the problem? Make it make sense.

These guys can't expect to get a wife or a girlfriend just for existing. Not everyone gets everything they want in life. Choosing to fill that absence with vitriol and hate is a conscious choice. Its poisonous - mostly to themselves. Find other ways to make your life fulfilling and shut the fuck up about it.

I think most of these guys ranking themselves 8's, are 3s with shitty personalities, and crying "unfair" because they can't get their "deserved" match.

Both women and men generally date a bit before they settle down. This isn't about being promiscuous, sometimes you need work out the wrong people before you find the right one. Referring to women as having been "ran through", the dehumanisation, objectificatuon and double standards, and the nasty and disrespectful attitudes we see on here - they are what stop you getting laid. They are what surround you with an unwashable stench that we can all sense. Hating women for not being attracted to you.…

My concern over a guy that has had a really high number of partners would be around how he treats women, and his ability to be faithful (if we are talking about a man as a potential relationship).

Just gave up arguing with a guy in this thread because he says that men aren't wired to put in effort into friendships or relationships with others. Apparently it's not in their DNA. That is why we have female privilege. Because we get off our asses and actually care about people other than ourselves. Ffs. It is bleak out there.

Yes. Making effort. Having meaningful connections with others. My group of friends throw each other birthday parties, we organise to pitch in and make meals when one of the group has a newborn or is sick, we take care of each others kids, and find time to hang out and do things together even when life is hectic and its hard to juggle. And that's real friendship FYI- people who actually care about each other. It must be such an alien concept to you, being that friendship "isn't in your DNA" and h…

If the reason a guy is a virgin is because he's a shitty person that nobody wants to be around - yes, that WILL put a woman off... and he may blame the woman, and their judgement of his virginity... because that's what a shitty guy would do rather than looking at his own part in why nobody wants to be intimate with him. Maybe a woman will be initially cautious as to why a guy is a virgin (usually because she's not yet sure if the reason is because he is a toxic bag of flaming turds). But it has …

If its a predictable or common response, is that not because it's obvious to sane people? Also, people who need to announce that they are getting an abundance of women are almost definitely not getting an abundance of women.

Not dating a bunch in high school or college just means that you've got the opportunity to invest more time on friendships and interests. That's not failing. A person who has a great group of solid friends, interestign experiences, hobbies, interests and passions- they tend to be far more interesting as partners than someone who's entire personality is "I pull chicks".

An individual feeeeeeemale, having an individual experience or an individual thought is very hard for you to comprehend right? You much prefer to think of women as one unit. A big giant hypergamous conspiracy to deprive men like you of the copious amounts of assorted vaginas you deserve access to. If allll the women don't want to date a guy. If he lives his life in a cycle of constant rejection. It's because of him, not them.

There is no way I would have been interested in a 35 year old man when I was 20 - regardless of money or status. We are supposed to want to have babies at 25 years old with some 40 year old guy?? Hell no. I think you actually have no idea what women value in life, and you would be surprised to learn that women aren't actually a hive-mind who all share the same thoughts.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/22 04:31 PM

The way you view human relationships as entirely transactional experiences is really quite sad. When I met my husband (in our early 20s) I never considered his net worth or tried to work out a "value" to assign to him. Most normal people don't.

So are 20 year old men ready to settle down and get married? Because it sounds like you think that it's only women waiting until later in life to settle down and start a family.

Privilege is only applicable to women that men are trying to sleep with. It's transactional - not out of kindness, it's because they are looking for a return. Women don't have to make the same effort as men as far as appearance goes?? Are you on crack? Do you have any idea about the unrealistic standards that women are programmed to believe they need to achieve from pre-teen age right through to menopause?! Women have larger social circles.... because they make the effort to cultivate and mainta…

Stop and consider for just a moment, the reactions that women sometimes get when they tell a guy that they are not interested (or not interested any more) - some guys take it maturely, some guys push for more chances and make it awkward, and a decent chunk of them get angry, aggressive and nasty. Ghosting is a pretty safe option compared to playing reaction roulette.

They like you at first, or are at least willing to take some time to get to know you a little. This does not mean they are obliged to continue getting to know you or giving you their time (or vice verse). Honestly, if this is happening often - I think you should perhaps spend less time trying to generalise women into categories like "flakey" and "fickle" and take a look at why you become less appealing the more they get to know you.

Before we had kids, we paid half of the rent each (regardless of salary), took turns paying for the groceries and utilities, but we weren't anal about it because it didn't matter that much. Youre picking single sentences out of paragraphs to reply to, and then taking them out of context. Its cherry picking. I can explain that I dont hate men until im blue in the face, but it doesn't fit your narrative. Youre saying feminism should advocate for men's rights, but when I point out the areas in which the patriarchal system is harmful to men and boys (in regards to mental health, in regards to parenting), and that feminism us aiming to change those systems - which IS advocating for men'…

What city? When? Women and children first is kind of an outdated notion. A hangover from chivalry and Victorian times. Most policies in modern day societies will say that the elderly, ill and infirm (including children) are to be prioritised. There is no international regulation stipulating 'women and children first' in maritime law, or elsewhere that i can determine... I guess culturally there are going to be those old-school people who still want to live in that era, treating women as helpless…

Thanks for your reply. First - silly question but how do you do that thing that makes you quote the other person's words in the blue lines?? I can't seem to do it! So you don't want women to tell men to change... but you want women to hold rallies to tell men to change? That doesn't make much sense to me. Men don't want to be told what to do, what to feel - not by women. I'm sure if male leaders in the community threw a parade for "its ok for blokes to speak about their feelings - fight the stig…

I dont think ive always been interested in the dynamics of feminism and patriarchal social constructs. When I was younger I was just living my life, partying, and it didn't really occur to me. Before I had kids there was a guy I knew named Drew who had a little boy quite young, and I remember being at a BBQ with them, and the little guy fell and and was crying, and he would have been like 2 or 3 years old. Isn't being a victim the opposite to having immense power and privilege though? Ive looked through the UN website at their programs, and youre right that there are specific programs designed to assist women and children, but to say that all of the programs offered by the UN are for women is not accurate. https://www.un.org/un70/en/content/UNaroundWorld/index.html

Little boys (or men) should not be told to "man up". They should not be shamed for feeling emotions. Crying is not weakness. Society does have to change to allow men and boys to express a healthy range of emotions - its important for mental health outcomes. Boys and Girls should be treated the same. You are agreeing with all of my points. Feminism doesn't (*shouldn't - it does happen in some forums) mean hating men, despite what some people want to think. It's pushing against a system that oppre…

To be honest, I dont know a whole lot about the laws surrounding conscription in my country or in yours. It still seems misplaced to have generalised anger towards women over this situation. It seems like a lot of men just have a lot of anger towards women, for every reason imaginable.

Augh this 14m timer is brutal. Because nobody should live in an echo chamber. It's important to hear other viewpoints, to discuss and debate. Even if I don't agree. Maybe even ESPECIALLY if I don't agree. Something you say might make sense. I've learned and had my mind changed about things before. Men are sensing the backlash and are consciously and unconsciously going “on strike.” They are dropping out of college, leaving the workforce and avoiding marriage and fatherhood at alarming rates. That was the part of your response that really jumped out at me and surprised me. Would women have the right to be angry at men if they were sent to war to defend men..? It seems so left-field, because the entire concept seems so, so totally irrational. So answering your question, no - women wouldn't have the right to be mad at the men they were sent away to protect. I'm a bit interested in the concept that men should be angry at women because they had to go to war "to protect women" (and children, other men, elderly, land qnd territory, and ideologies, and wealth, and religion, and regional stability, and politics). I feel that anger over wars should lie with those who create wars, those who force people to go to war, those who profit from war... did women write the legislation requiring men to go to war? I completely understand that we can't just say "hey open up" and have it be so. There is a lifetime of societal programming to overcome. I dont think anyone is expecting that a click of the fingers will suddenly enable an angry, hurt man to suddenly be able to express his feelings in a completely different way, or for others around then to feel totally comfortable with them expressing themselves differently. You seem to have a real bee in your bonnet about this "not crying" thing. By your own admission, your emotional health is poor to the point of extreme suicidal ideation... Why do you think that you should therefore be an example of how others should handle their emotions?
