You seem (in the few phrases) like a good guy - and even if you don't fix your stutter any time soon (cognitive therapy can take months, just for anxiety, so don't give up quickly), give yourself more credit. I would say so. I might suggest cognitive therapy for you. It is supposed to be pretty helpful for stuttering. Cognitive therapy is pretty much retraining your body's responses by retraining your neurons. I did it for anxiety, and I know someone who did it for tourettes.
