I am. I am really saying that. Same as an Amazon worker who's destroying their spine and mental health for a paycheck, or a farmer who puts in an average of 14hours of work per day, or a doctor who's now got 20 years of school loans to pay off (on a doctors salary), or a young rapper who made it big too fast and succumbs to addiction. We all give away parts of ourselves, sex work is just more literal about it.

Aight, "I respect careers, not jobs" is a sentiment I can get behind.

You respect a job so unskilled that can be replaced by a touch screen but not literal physical labor?

Most insanely popular adult actresses also do not struggle with bills, plus they work drastically shorter hours. I'm an engineer, but if people would pay this well to see my hairy balls you bet I'd be taking pics too.

Oh, huh, I bet my petroleum engineer friends are going to be pretty upset to learn this. Hopefully the massive fucking financial compensation they get for the work they do will help to put their minds at ease over the gross mistreatment they've recieved at the hands of their employers masters.

So let me get this straight. You're showing up in a thread about gender issues in domestic violence, particularly one bemoaning lack of assistance and representation for male victims of domestic violence. Using a throwaway to dodge consequences, you ask for facts to support a claim, and then promptly ignore the top response citing sources. Instead you go off fighting every strawman you can find in the comments, and the conclusion that you come to is: This is why no one takes you guys seriously. …

Although the findings... suggest that domestic violence is overall more of a problem for women, this does not justify the common approach of treating it as only a problem for women. You literally quoted the relevant part of the article to answer your own question. Nothing is "debunked" here, nobody's claiming this is an entirely gendered issue either way. The complaint is that the support networks are gendered. If the rates of domestic violence are roughly equal between men and women (as the stu…

Yikes, if you really think that describes all women, then it sounds like you need some better women in your life. Edit: I really don't mean this as an insult. You sound legitimately hurt. Drop them hoes who aint deserving of you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
