I enjoy traveling (who doesnt?) and have been doing it throughout the USA, so venturing outside the country makes sense for that to see new sights. Different women is a bonus. Also, this post was mostly for guys in STEM like me who struggle despite doing everything society told us to do. Hmm what made you emigrate from South America? My plan is to work remotely in a place like SA and stay there while working a remote job. For the reasons you mention, as well as, the cost of living would be much lower. Right now I would be relying on a tourist visa but the goal is to have a company/self-employment which allows me to stay in one country for the rest of my life

I've always been the stupidest of the nerd group. They know how to study and they study hard. For math your best way of learning is practice problems. If it's algebra it's mostly arithmetic and not too many proofs, so your best bet is going to the end of the chapter and going through all of the practice problems. For your first paragraph: My point is I'm fine with being a beta provider, it's pretty hard in the USA to do that + people who are young 20s mostly don't want to settle down and play house. That's what I want. For your second paragraph: In my OP I say I work remote. Some countries will let you in if you buy property there, some countries are fine if you pay other taxes, every country is a little different, but I can afford the USA so I can definitely afford elsewhere

I think it's pretty obvious why I'm insecure in a society that values looks so heavily. Why are actors in movies and commercials attractive? Why do we have shows making fun of pathetic/fat/ugly people? Why do people openly say how they hate people who aren't tall, broad, attractive in general? Hypergamy is based on several things. I say Looks, Money, and Status. Being a foreigner you have some status from being exotic. Money you would have from having a remote first world job. I'm not tying a knot with any companies that's for sure 🤣. The general advice in my industry is to work for a company for 2 years and then leave for greener pastures since salary raises do not match what other companies would offer. I'm staying with my company a little longer since I'll be having a 30% raise in 6 months, but after that you can bet I'll be sending out a few resumes.

I was surrounded by mature girls in high school that I could have talks with. These people were in the "nerd group" so I'm not surprised they had high IQ takes. Since then I've had difficulties finding women like them which is sad since people are supposed to be less mature in highschool. The industry I'm in now is a sausagefest. At my age I don't think being stable/boring is valued over looks. Being physically fit does help, I stay active. It improves me a little which is why I do it, but it's just that. It improves me a little . I have Italian friends and we cook together, I can follow a recipe and cook alright, but I'm no chef (although I briefly worked in a restaurant making wedding appetizers). Playing into hypergamy by being exotic (foreign with a different look) which would also give me a change in status. Money is one element to this equation. I grew up rural. It was upper middle class rural but rural nonetheless. I grew up cutting down trees, fixing chimneys, doing masonry on my parents' house. I'm used to that life and I'm okay with it in another nation. The whole reason traditionalism doesn't work in the USA is you need to be in the top 10% to be a breadwinner, and for the most part this is for people who are older and want to settle down.
