If your kid turns 18, they can be whoever the fuck they want to be. That's not my job to force them to do a certain (or not certain) job. Will I do my damnedest to get them to a position that a profession with very real trafficking risks is prevalent?. 100% I can't make their life decisions, though. And making and claim otherwise, or claiming they're a failed parent is just gaslighting and projection. Do better.

It's called risk mitigation. Just like offering clean needles. Drugs are going to go into needles and subsequently people's arms. Understanding this inevitability, you can greatly mitigate the spread of Bloodborne illnesses by causing a break in the transmission with clean needles. Women, the overwhelming majority of them, are not biologically built to be able to dispatch a male. They just aren't. Especially an aggressive one. Now, your average male is not equipped to do the same either... But you've got MUCH more of a fighting chance just because of your physical makeup. This is the point. I think we need to maintain accuracy when making points like these to be taken seriously. Saying they are botched "very often" would make it seem like the majority of circumcisions are botched, and that just isn't accurate. Yes it's awful, and yes we should be fighting for the rights of children to not have their bodies damaged because of the circumcision itself, but it is not "very often" that the procedure is botched.
