The slippery slope fallacy assumes that A leads to B, B leads to C, C leads to D, until inevitably A leads to Z, Z being something we want to avoid. The problem with this line of reasoning is that it assumes implication that once we are at point B, then C is sure to follow. People who have no answer to the questions simply wave the word about in hopes people will accept it instead of demanding an answer to how, exactly, you are going to exercise discretion to limit it.
