Sounds like cognitive behavioural therapy would help you a lot.

This sounds like a case of the blind leading the blind. Main reason I don't bother with this sub anymore.

If I'm a girl on my way to work the last thing I want is some goon coming on to me. There's a time and a place. Also, r/thathappened

Because he's an introvert and thinks that attraction comes down to binary things like introvert vs extravert.

You mean to say you're human? You don't have to be on all the time. People who try to be fun all the time can actually be quite annoying and over bearing after a while. Nothing wrong with having some personal time where you're not constantly ON.

Improve yourself behind the scenes. Be yourself on the stage.

"when did you menstrate last." it's bold and shows interest.

You sound really needy. Like you need to be the centre of a woman's attention from day one until the day that you both die. Get some perspective.

I don't know you so I'm just gonna make a massive assumption that you might be trying too hard and it shows. I went to college with a guy who used to try extremely hard with people and was as nice as he could possibly be but he had and still has no real friends. Don't worry about people liking you and just try to be you. That's way easier said then done but I don't really know what else to tell you.

This advice is a great way to waste years of your life. Trust me.

Don't try again. Have more respect for yourself. Sounds like youre overthinking it and this is probably a bad bout of oneitis. You tried. It didn't go how you'd hoped. Move on.

Nice, proper advice. Not the vague old "be the best version of yourself" tripe. In terms of attitude what do you think is best. Playing it cool and serious or trying to be friendly and funny. I tend to sing towards the latter.

Ted is a shit character in an average show. Barney was the best character in that show. I'd hate to be Ted's friend. He's a boring, whiny, condescending, cringey ass. Barney would be an awesome friend in real life.

You got downvoted but I kinda agree with you. This sub seems to promote overthinking and doing mental gymnastics when talking to a girl. Just go for it and do your best. Try not to come off as desperate.

I do a lot of these things and admit I get on with most people as a result. However a lot of these things would be considered being a 'nice guy' in the dating scene. Never argue? Aren't you supposed to stir up interest by not being so agreeable? Seems like this suggests the opposite

True, I personally need to do this so as to rid myself of a crippling dose of oneitis.

I've tried not being a nice guy. In a conversation with a girl you like, trying not to be a nice guy is like doing mental gymnastics. Get out there and talk to girls. You'll come to realise that they're human and flawed like all other humans. You'll naturally stop putting girls on a pedestal.

Seeing alot of people say that this happens with both guys and girls and I 100% agree. The harder I try, the worse I generally do with girls. I've never actually gotten with a girl I genuinely liked. Usually girls I didn't give a shit for when I'm drunk enough that they'll do. But how do you get the girl if you can't act interested? I feel like my problem is I don't make a move or engage enough. Its like a catch 22. How can you get to know them if you don't show interest...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
