Thanks. I spoke to one today and he said we could work it out on our own based on what is going on with us. If I can get into an agreement based on what she's saying that sounds like the best bet as far as being able to still survive.

I think they can basically be the same actions except with neediness a person conveys an emotional dependance on the situations outcome.

Can't speak for all men, but I don't think it can be said that we don't like sluts. If I was interested in a relationship with a person then OP's reaction would be the preferred one. Should let the guy know you just came out of a relationship and might be available later.

Sounds like you came across as kind of a dick about it. It's good to not allow a precedent of you providing everything to be set, but you should have kept the mood light and not have been so "dead serious". Just laugh and hand it back to her.
