I feel like you're setting yourself up to get hurt by being this way. You're going to get your feelings by guys who "play with your feelings" just so they can have sex with you. You're also going to get into a situation where, after a couple of months of hooking up, you ask the guy "what are we" and he ends up shutting you down. I feel like it's in everyone's best emotional interest to be up front and honest about what you want.

Don't know if you know but almost every guy on Tinder thinks the same way. It's a matter of how well they're able to hide it and play it. Goal is sex and everything is done to get sex. That's why so many guys ghost you once they get the sex. Like what OP said, Tinder is a hookup app afterall.

You're putting way too much thought into this. The fact that you're putting so much thought into this while she's probably just going about her day without even thinking of you once shows you've already lost her. You've reached a point where you're not even yourself anymore. This is happening because of 2 reasons: You're not compatible. I know you think you are, because you two have fun when you hang out but there's more to compatibility then just that. You and her are looking for different thin…

I mean...think about it. Have you ever stop talking to a girl when you find out she likes you and you personally don't feel the same way? For me personally, no. Does it feel good when you know a girl likes yoy even though you don't feel the same way? For me, hell the fuck yes. It's a nice little confidence boost. And again, speaking for myself, I've never regretted making a move even when it doesn't work out. However, I've kicked myself and is still kicking myself over opportunities I've missed.…

That was a rhetorical question.

You won't lose a friend if you make a move. I know this from experience.... especially a good friend. If anything, you can just apologize and she'll laugh if off. And even if she's not interested, she'll be flattered/complimented by your interest. And why would you even assume she'll say no? Have some confidence in yourself.

lol ok. I think we just have to agree to disagree. And I strongly disagree with you saying there's no "authentic self." Everyone has a personality and if you want to have a great relationship, you have to make sure whoever you meet is compatible with your personality and you can't do that by not being yourself cause someone on the internet tells you you have to be an "alpha." But either way, I love OP's post. Working and focusing on yourself is so important.

You're absolutely right. You do it for yourself and not for girls. That's why instead of telling people to have an "alpha mentality," I tell them to be the best them they can possibly be. Like the OP said, work on yourself first. Find a hobby. Confidence will come naturally when you focus on living your best life and being the best possible you. With that confidence, you'll naturally attract girls. And once that happens, you'll get enough girls to where you'll naturally be yourself and not put g…

Best advice I've seen on Reddit so far (or from the internet as a whole). Real. Most of the crap I've seen online are written by fake wannabe "alphas" and wannabe players who teach you to be misogynists and keeps you from being truly confident by making you second guess yourself with everything you do and say wondering if you're acting "alpha" enough. Truth of the matter is, there is not one thing that works with every girl. You just have to be confident and be yourself and you'll naturally attr…

Thanks for the feedback. Great to hear about this from a girl's perspective. I'm going to get a new perscription for Viagra and ask her out. Hopefully she says yes.

I'm 31. I know it's in my head cause this only happens when I have sex with a new girl for the first time...the initial anxiety prevents me from maintaining it...which is why I use Viagra when I hook up with a new girl for the first time and is ok every time after that. Viagra just didn't work last night for some reason. Would the guy initially being not able to perform be a deal breaker for you?

He's not a friend. Friends encourages each other, talk you up, and build you up. That guy is an insecure asshole who cock blocks. Drop him.

People don't have sex easily. If they say they do, they either 1. Is lying trying to make themselves look good or 2. They have extremely low standards and they regularly boning 3s, 4s, and 5s... ...at least that's how it is from my experiences. If you are strictly going for 7s and above, you are going to have dry spells.

Is there a way to play the numbers game without having to spend money (i.e. buy girls drinks)? My go-to line whenever I go out is "hey, I think you're cute. Can I buy you a drink?" And usually, it takes me 6 to 7 approaches before I find a girl who's down to hang out the rest of the night. As you can imagine, it adds up pretty quick and this gets pretty expensive. Does anyone have an approach that's more economical?

You're putting way too much thought into it. If you are truly confident, you wouldnt need to change yourself to "match" her confidence. By doing this, you're already second guessing yourself and putting her on a pedestal. Work on yourself and gain true confidence in yourself before you go after a 10/10.

I'm not saying to make yourself "unlikable" or become an asshole. " Nor am I saying to stop being nice to people. I'm just saying to be the best possible you, know what you have to offer from being the best possible you, and stop adapting yourself to others. Stop changing yourself for others. That's what people pleasers do and doing that is literally the opposite of what a confident person who's comfortable with themselves would do. Doing that lowers your social standing and becomes impediment w…

I was the same way. Managed to minimize this tendency by prioritizing myself, my own feelings, and what i want. And instead of trying win other people's approval, i recognize what i have to offer...good career, have a house, have a car, relatively fit...and start thinking, do THEY meet MY standards. And before i start doing something for someone, i ask myself if they would do the same for me (part of prioritizing yourself). And also understand that it is literally impossible to satisfy everyone.…

Honestly, I'm the same way. I am fine meeting a girl in person or talking to a girl on the phone...texting gives you time to second guess yourself and overthink things...which is why i avoid texting altogether and only use it as a tool to arrange meetings and dates. When a girl does text me, i take a long time to respond (hours) and blame it on how busy work was (or if I'm not at work, something else). This, i think, actually works in my favor. Cause pretty girls are used to guys blowing up thei…

This. I have performance anxiety sometimes too. Viagra helps a lot. And usually after having sex with a girl 2 or 3 times, i dont need it anymore.

I would never let another guy buy drinks for gf or dance with her. And if she doesnt respect that, instead of sitting there like a fool saving her sear, i would chat up random girls at the bar.
