As a female, if I got a text message saying, "Drinks tomorrow," period, no question mark, I'd feel like I'm being given an order. That can work sometimes, but it runs the risk of sounding douchey. Like I said, it's differing levels of comfort for different people, so I definitely believe other people have completely opposite experiences - like sex on the first date. All people have their own levels of comfort. That said, as a female who generally dislikes being casually touched, I probably would've gotten a little uncomfortable, too.
