You should really check out this series on Netflix called Dolly Parton's Heartstrings. Every episode is about one of her songs reenacted. They do Jolene justice!

Imagine having an actual good relationship with someone who isn't dragging you down. Is this marriage you have worth sacrificing that?

This ^ OP you should read the section in the handbook called "Why men telling you you'll max out at 30 is their biggest cope". I used to be annoyed with how much people say "read the handbook". But it answers so many of the questions on this sub. And if you've read it once, read it again. Read it every 3 months. Summary of that section is: don't lower your standards. Your value is not tied to a number.

I've heard of other women being afraid to give out their phone number - why? What kind of information can they get from it? I just figured if it ever went badly I would block them and that would be enough.

He probably just wanted easy sex and when he realized you respected yourself, he decided to go after someone faster.

Can someone help translate? Why do men always want to be the first of something? And if not its ruined? Like I want to be your first sex tape. Or your first time trying anal or something like that? I had an ex who didnt want to go to the same date spot I'd been with other men.

We live in LA so no dining at the moment. But yes definitely got the vibe of lazy and "chase me." My last relationship ended because I was doing all the planning and I knew that was a mistake. Didnt want to do that again.

I like when my date is chatty with the waiter/bartender/server. It shows charisma and that they are outgoing. I went on an awful date where the guy couldn't even look at the waiter and wasn't able to order for himself. It really turns me off when they can't make small talk with costumer service.

I took a women's history class in college that talked about this. Undergarments changed around when bicycles were invented so they could ride them. I don't know the difference between tightlacing and corsets, but the previous undergarments were too restrictive.

Except corsets where so tight women werent physically capable of riding a bike. I don't think women were supporters of that.

While I don't personally agree with waiting to have sex until marriage, I think the idea of "sexual incompatibility" is a myth perpetrated by men. They say that to women to get in their pants sooner. "What if we aren't compatible?" they whine. You could have good sex with anyone. It comes from building trust and intimacy. It also can be improved with open communication. OP can vet her bf's tendencies in bed without sleeping with him. Does he notice her nonverbal communications? Is he selfless an…

I can't think of a worse pairing than sushi and wine. Hell, beer like saporo is even better. But sake would be best. Then at least he would have an understanding of pairing alcohol and food. Guys throw in 'wine' acting like it will make a girl swoon.

I love what she says about compassion being seen as women's best quality. We are too good at it. We forgive misdoings by men. But it's not other women saying "I love how forgiving and understanding you are," it's men. They want us to be accepting of all the terrible stuff they do. It's at around 18:30.

I had my Anthropology professor refer to God as She and I loved it. However, he would sometimes do the whole men and female, when he should have said women.

I like the idea of waiting around 3 months to have penetrative sex, how long do you wait for oral or fingering?

I've always hated the "let's hangout/go on an adventure" Or even worse when people are hooking up but they call it talking.

I can be this way too. I feel like that's why the 3 month rule can be good to follow. You keep seeing them to figure it out and don't go too far sexually. That way you get to know them first and see if they can maintain being a HVM. It's better to be attracted to personality than looks. Any good looking guy can be a LVM. If they are super hot they can become a fuckboi and can get away with treating women badly. That's just a generalization though.

How many matches are you getting a day? 100 messages a day seems like a lot! I can't handle messaging more than a few people at a time. I also try to go on the app only once or twice a day. You don't need to be constantly messaging them, let them wait. When I have a few people that I'm talking to, I stop swiping. Otherwise it does get overwhelming. Once I've weeded through those, then I swipe some more. It sounds like you're just spending too much time on it. The more you're on it, the more mess…

You didn't cut him off out of no where. He gave you minimal effort and didn't prioritize you. I think you have a crush on him and are inflating his feelings. He doesn't seem that interested. I'm very impressed you told him you're feelings about losing interest etc. I say block and delete. That's the best method. Sending hugs to you! You can do better and deserve better!

Yes, I've been wanting to say something along these lines! I actually think its kind of lazy just to take a women out to dinner. It takes zero effort. All you do it sit down and order food. A picnic takes planning, shopping ahead, finding the right place, etc.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
