Sounds like bread crumbing. I see red flags from him dating so quickly and because your emotions are involved it could sway your actions and reality. I’d proceed with caution, leave your feelings for him and any perceived chemistry at home. Use the dinner to assess where he’s really at if you’re still going. Yes exactly, I'm trying to be as unattached as possible !

Update #2 : He called me today, asked if we are on for Saturday and what time would be best for me. Later he texted me a song he thought I might enjoy (Spoiler alert : I did but did not tell him) So far so good.

It’s easy to want to envision the possibility of better intentions from someone we are attracted to. True!!

This is so true. It's a silly example but I posted recently on a female hair advice sub to ask opinions on changing my hair color and I got so many weird comments and messages from men it was disgusting. I love following a female-only sub.

Although I like this book and I find it to be very true (same with your comment) I find it sad that I have to act uninterested to a man I really like. I like to show emotion and enthusiasm. Hopefully there will be a few exceptions (haven't found any yet!)

Imagine if every woman on reddit wrote an essay every time a man checked her out. We would break the internet!

There's no way to win with some people no matter how you act. Being stoic= Interested Being awkward = Interested Being polite = Interested They cannot fathom someone acts however they see fit and doesn't give a fuck about them, they MUST be interested ! I see this in women too, but the overwhelming majority is men. Yeah I checked his history too and had a good laugh :) (for example : He actually wrote a full-blown essay about a woman checking him out.)

Oh come on we wouldn't want to be perceived as stoic, rigid and wooden by SUCH an attractive guy, better to hit on him by saying hello 7 times a day!!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
