My kid's in her twenties, this isn't so much about me as much as the stigma of dead beat dad when the reality is more along the lines of hands tied dad. If a guy wants the child, he's also possibly out of luck. Taking responsibility isn't really the only issue. That's the only thing that scares me. Someone makes a false claim but then realized they were in the wrong might never come forward if the consequence is prison.
