So, a sex doll. What this guy really likes is an inanimate sex doll.

She’s probably trying to hang out with you now so she can retrieve the item she left behind. Just tell her to come on by and pick it up. Hand it to her at the door and say goodbye.

Women who look like that aren’t going to date a guy who looks like a giant hairy toe but with less personality.

I’m bonkers about the holiday season. I like my Christmas lights like “NASA called, they can see your house from space.” I have a stepdad who celebrates Christmas, we do a tree every year. (My opinion, we don’t use enough lights, but that’s another story.)

I once had an ex-friend try to set me up with someone because we were both Jewish. It was such a terrible match...

Does he want you to just lie there like a limp rag and not enjoy it? Because if so, make sure you tell him afterwards how lousy he is in bed. Just... WTF.

I really like it. My hair gets straight but has body, it’s not completely flat. And it’s not as hot so my hair doesn’t get damaged as much.

Pardon my French, but FUCKING WHAT?? The only way the carpet gets that filthy is if he’s a complete pig or the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in at least five years. Neither is a ringing endorsement, she’s going to be playing maid to this slob every damn day.

I get so pissed off when I hear stories about someone blaming depression or anxiety for what basically amounts to shitty behavior. LOTS of people deal with anxiety and depression, but still manage not to be unfaithful, not to be a complete asshole to others, etc. We ALL have our moments of not being as nice as we could be, especially this past year, but behaving that way consistently makes you a jerk, not mentally ill.

THANK YOU for posting this. Any kind of addiction is an illness requiring a specific diagnosis using a comprehensive set of criteria. Sex addiction is NOT common, it’s just commonly used as an excuse to cheat and avoid the consequences.

DAMN those scrotes would be hella mad at me, I’m single and bought myself a whole bunch of new jewelry for Hanukkah and Christmas. 😂 I’ve NEVER waited until I have a man to buy me jewelry, I just buy it for myself.

Hugs to you. You’re so not alone in this. And I’m guessing your cousin didn’t turn out so great - he sounds like a psychopath. I had something similar happen in middle school. This guy would not stop tormenting me, and any time I mentioned it to my dad and stepmom they would tease me and say he has a crush on me. This is probably why I didn’t even think twice when he punched me on the arm and I ended up with a bruise. My dad saw it because I was wearing a t-shirt and asked me what happened, and …

Technically YOU dumped HIM. He tried to make you feel “less” by telling you that you were his second choice, and you said “buh-bye.” I would be surprised if he had been expecting that, he probably thought you would ask him if it means you’re exclusive now or some other bullshit.

Mine was more than 10 years ago but it stands out for two reasons. First, I almost married the loser. Second, I’ve never dropped bank on a man again and won’t unless I’m with one who reciprocates. It was an autographed copy of some basketball player’s autobiography. The book was $35, then the cost of shipping both ways to get it to my friend who worked for the team he played for. My ex is a a sports journalist. For my birthday, he got me... a password keeper notebook. (Which I already had purcha…

The joke is on him when he eventually realizes that as we hit our 30s and 40s, we get to our sexual peak. Meanwhile, he’s heading downhill by the time he hits 30. Good luck keeping up, little man.

The comments are MINDBLOWING. Person after person telling her what she surely already knows inside: he isn’t going to marry her. Ever. And she does these unbelievable mental gymnastics to try and excuse him and his negging and jerking around. And then there are those random comments like “But not all of us! Some of us DO want to get married after dragging our feet for a decade,” and it doesn’t occur to them that unlike her scrote, they might not have been as mentally abusive.

Good grief. I almost married one of these. He actually tried to bring his laundry over one night so I could do his laundry while I was doing mine. I told him I would be happy to show him how to use the machine. 😂

He may act like a great guy to the new woman in his life, but you already know better. He’s going to abuse them emotionally and physically, just as he did to you. Stop checking on him. All you see when you do is lies.

Mine still calls every few years to see if I’m interested in getting back together. He actually made one of those calls shortly before he got engaged, I didn’t even realize the timing until I randomly bumped into him a few years later and he told me he got engaged, married, blah blah. I feel terrible for his now-ex-wife, she deserved better.

Of course, I don’t take it the wrong way. But don’t discount previous connections. They went to school in various parts of the country and have their own connections who have moved away, some of them to the area you have moved to. If there are people from your previous professional life or university that you do want to connect with, you should. Take a look on LinkedIn at alumni of your university, you never know what or who you’ll find to connect with. Good luck! I’m pulling for you.

I got a professional headshot to use for my profile pic. Start by searching for people you work with, either directly or with other companies that your company does business with. Then look at their connections on LinkedIn and the ones you know or you think will be useful for you in business, send them an invitation to connect. Your network will continue to grow. Make sure your profile lists your current and previous work experience, people can search by companies and may find you that way as we…

It’s only happened to me once. I’m grateful it hasn’t happened more, I keep making a lot of connections. Thankfully professional.

I don’t know, but my go-to response is now “Thanks SO much, Mr. Universe.” Make sure to use a heavily sarcastic tone.

I had a couple of friends like this. Eventually I had to say “You know how to change this, you choose to stay with someone who treats you like shit.” After so many years of listening to them complain about it, I gave them a blunt opinion once, then after that when they would complain, I just sat there and didn’t really engage in the conversation. It’s clear they don’t want advice and don’t want to change the situation, and I’m not their therapist.

Have you ever asked any of these friends if they ever get tired of being treated like shit by the men they treat like gold? I mean, I’m sure they’ll get defensive about it, which is when you go through the laundry list of bullshit their men put them through, and ask them what they are getting from the relationship other than mistreated.

There may have been some nice qualities to him, but inviting you to dinner at a high end restaurant and then trying to drop half the bill on you is kind of a dick move, and telling about his true nature.
