There's no reason to get married and have kids. Everybody has their own way of living so you might want that kind of lifestyle. But for the general population that lifestyle is far from what would ultimately satisfy someone. Kid's offer a unique type of relationship that's incomparable. As far as marriage goes, making it legally binding is one thing but to forgo relationships as a whole is a sad life for 99.9999999% of people. Romantic relationships are more than sex. Why would people go as far …

In 1927 the population was about 2 billion, now it's about 7.8 billion. What do you think it's gonna be like in 2120 and why?

I think that's the point though. People are struggling to find one that meets what they want. So those numbers are probably reflective of the combination of more people being single and a cultural shift that recognizes marriage aren't as stable as they once were. Getting married for the average person isn't that big of a commitment considering the divorce rate was once around 50%. People get married the divorced and then married again. That coupled with the fact that divorce isn't shamed anymore…

The average age at which people get married is getting older aswell. That kind of indicates that people are putting off settling down until their later years. People nowadays in their 20s either want to Work or "have fun". This extends to the point if someone says they're married with kids at 23 people look at them with surprise. So by the time people are in their mid 30s they are probably prioritizing just finding a relationship over getting married and paying a bunch of money for a Wedding. Th…

So you seriously believe that a Man, let's say that's 35 that looks for a 20-23 is insecure?

It's a reality show about couples who MEET literally at the ALTAR. Like they make eye contact for the first time when she walks down the aisle and he turns around. Then they have their ceremony and the families meet. Then they go on honeymoon for a couple days and then move into an apartment complex with the other couples. They live together in an apartment as a married couple and go through tasks each week. If you like dating reality show then it is definitely the best I've seen. There's backst…

of it is projected insecurity This is such BS. It's only when Men lay out preferences in what they're looking for in a Woman for a LTR, some Women turn into psychiatrists. The whole "insecure" argument only ever goes one way. If a Woman says she likes older Men it's completely accepted. The mental gymnastics some Women do to avoid accepting simple rejection is ironic.

They can but it's way more difficult. The longer they know each other and the closer they are, the more mental hurdles they have to overcome. Also other friends get in the ear of them. "I see you and.....get along really well(wink) You both look great together...."

I question those studies. They don't talk about the participants and if they were single or not. Or even their income or where they lived. There's a number of factors that could affect it. Also they don't seem to say how spread out the participants where aswell and how much support the parents had. It looks too dodgy

Men, on the other hand, seem to spiral into a pit of misogyny and despair when they can't find even a low value woman that will date him. There are female versions of incels aswell. They are Women who can't find a Man to take them seriously or "treat them the way they want". As a result some end up in a pit of Misandry and calling all Men trash or saying delusional things like this . It's just that Misandry is acceptable in society where as Misogyny isn't. Also there are a growing number of Men …

The whole "equal value" or "I deserve this kind of.." mentality was created by Women after they joined the workforce and started accumulating wealth of their own. Men generally have always accepted the idea that they may be the sole provider or they may carry most of the financial load.

An incapability to regulate your emotions and a clear lack of understanding of how to appropriately respond to a situation, is very much a big sign of weakness. Demonstrating ignorance and a lack of empathy in non critical situations is also a sign of weakness of leadership qualities.

The Men's team has a few individual players but in terms of Team success, everybody recognizes the Women's team is more successful than the Men's team. That's why I'm questioning do Americans really care more about the Men's team?

Isn't it the only sport in America where they probably deserve more? I live in England and the America national team is irrelevant in terms of world football; except for the Women's side. Do Americans really support the Men's National team more than the Women's?

As far as your title goes its too ambiguous. "Women don't even know what they want" is technically not accurate because some do and some don't. If what you're trying to say is "Too many Women don't know what they want" , then you have to follow it up with the reason why those Women are different to those that know what they want. As far as the rest of what wrote. It's over emotional and not a thought out idea wherein multiple perspectives were considered. For instance the argument could be made …

It's an interesting and complex conversation. I think Women in general have become a lot more interested in the way Men behave. Especially around the idea of Emotions and vulnerability. This is an interesting video on those things. It's a video that's more like a collage of different clips but there's sprinkles of notable commentary. The bit between 3:35 to 6:40 sums up what most of the video is about

discouraged for men to do a lot of the things women can do to feel more secure. Men do their Hair, some tan, some do their eyebrows, they workout, more and more have started taking care of their skin, guys like to dress well etc. Men aren't Women so they aren't gonna do the exact same things or even do things in the same ways. But there are overlap in certain areas. I’m not sure why honestly. I’m sure I’ll just be repeating what everyone else thinks but obviously a lot of men are afraid of being…

people who think like you have never loved Wow. I'm confused because what you say afterwards sounds like you agree with me. You can still think this or that trait is annoying, you can see their individual flaws I'll just repeat what I said. "Compromising is literally a form of settling". Staying committed regardless of the recognition of flaws is compromising which is settling. Honestly I don't think you read my comment. I outlined who does settle and who doesn't.

This is just a game of semantics. Compromising is literally a form of settling. If you are chasing a perfect fantasy with sunshine and roses all day everyday, and aren't planning on settling......good luck with your family of cats and dogs. Only those who expect flaws and problems that they'll have to overcome and are willing too commit, only those people don't have to settle.

But you did say they created incels which I don't believe to be true. Those kind of Men have always existed. They're even in movies based in Medieval times. They're Men that are creature looking and have no redeemable qualities. They lack respect and honor and are far from trust worthy. The internet just gave them a place to join together a cultivate a hive mindset and not feel alone. They may agree with some of what RedPill says. But that's like Jay Z and some Afghan terrorist agreeing that the…

If you're single with no kids at 45....that's sad. It doesn't matter how much money you have or what kind of physical shape you're in...that's just sad. The problem with your post is that it only has two scenarios, when in reality there's more. You only bring up: One night Stand and no relationship or wait for sex but a relationship. There are also Men who wait for sex but never get a relationship or sex and there are Men who get sex straight away and a relationship afterwards. I think the posit…

I don't think they're the same. Their only similarity is that they are critical of Women. However that's like comparing a protest to a foreign country trying to invade. I see what you're trying to say but lumping them to together is inaccurate

Anything 7 or above, personality is the deciding factor (after the initial meeting). A 7 that I have fun with is much more attractive than a 10 that is repulsive.

in our modern culture marriage is not required to have a fulfilled and successful life It was never an actual requirement. Living a life alone was just more difficult back then. It still is now and it's highly unlikely people will find fulfillment in their lives being unmarried and without kids. Raising children healthily is extremely difficult in a single parent household. Men in the past were honestly just spoiled by having a dating pool of women who needed them to exist peacefully in the worl…

Security. That's why Women generally seek more dominant traits:taller, stronger, more assertive. The sacrifices aren't a conscious decision that's been weighed up. It's more neglecting compatibility and the likelihood of developing a healthy relationship with that person. That's how some Women get trapped in abusive relationships. They see the comfort and security that's being offered but ignore the toxicity and instability until later on in the relationship when it escalates.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/22 02:55 PM

Have a higher risk of having been abused before? Some Women who were abused at a young age become overweight or develop unattractive traits as a form of protection.

What Men seek in relationships end up being just the entry requirements of a relationship. That why when they get in one or their needs are met, they see it for what it is. The things they may have overlooked to get to that point become reasons for why it would never work. Men don't love Women like Objects. There's validation that comes along with sex and there's comfort and warmth that a Woman can bring that "objects" could never do. If anything Men are more hopeful of the success of a situatio…

I don't agree with that. Men can't have a standard approach regardless of gender. That'll lead to a lot of issues for the Men that do that. Men aren't the same as Women. So the way Men interact with each other is different than the way Women do. The level of respect should stay the same but there has to be alterations in communication style. That's also because of the possibility of there being a sexual undertone. Men can make jokes to other men that could be misconstrued as flirting if it was w…

That is true actually. I live in England. The average household income around the country is less than £40k which is $54k. So for me the idea of living somewhere that requires that much is crazy for me. Unless I was rich already. But even then my money would go a lot further elsewhere.

Like I said originally I'm not at all making the case that back then was worse. Or even coming from the angle that "people should be grateful for the issues of today compared to....". I'm just disagreeing with the now is worse than then perspective. I don't compete different eras against each other. If anything I look at today's issues and if I get nervous or anxious I'm comforted by the reality that shits always been fucked up in one way or another and people kept reproducing. To me that calms …

My gawd. 250k annual household income that is nuts. Especially if the salaries aren't heavily influenced by the cost of living there. People must be stressed out a lot living in those conditions unless they've already made all their money or are making it passively.

I didn't mean not having kids is extreme. I meant the comparison of this generation to others. People should do whatever makes them happy and live a fulfilling life. There's more than enough people to keep the world populating so there should be no judgement on people who don't want kids. If that what you want then that's fine imo. But the idea that this generation of people or this culture is significantly worse than other time periods is something I disagree with completely. Like literally the…

Oh, I'm guessing you mean older than 35. That's interesting because such extreme views are often associated with people who are at a much younger age. I doubt I'll be able to convince you otherwise. So I'll wish you all the best instead.

The culture we live in isn’t good for kids I don't agree with this perspective at all. I'm also not gonna make the case for it's the best culture to raise kids. What I will say though is that each time presents it's own challenges. A hundred years ago the world was at war...Twice. You were basically raising kids that could die at war at a young age. Like 60 years ago kids were practicing ducking under tables in case of nuclear bombs. Before that was the great depression in America and that's jus…

I think one of the main reasons so many people struggle with anxiety and depression today is because so many of their moms worked. This is exactly what I was thinking about aswell. More specifically two working parents but yes. Society didn't do a good enough job of adjusting to two working parents and/or didn't value the parental benefits of the traditional Family dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 05:24 PM

Yh 80k is a lot in our currency but 160k is definitely a lot more. It does mean a whole other kind of living with 3 kids. Also take into account there are people from other countries. The spirit of the question is if one partner made enough money to support the Family: would you prefer the other partner staying at home or that they worked full time so you'd have even more security and be even more comfortable with spending money on things.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 04:13 PM

The parent staying at home could organise for the child to meet up with relatives or join clubs. Since they're at home they would have the time for that and dropping and picking them up. Also if any emergency happened they'd be more likely to be available

If you don't plan on taking care of them on a day to day basis then it kinda makes sense. But it would really suck if you wanted to but lost them and then had to pay because she doesn't make anywhere near enough to support them herself.

What if you never involve the government in your marriage, do you still have to pay?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 01:38 PM

It depends on what 80k household income means. If it's sufficient to support and allow a good living for a family then it makes sense to have a person at home imo. Also what factors in is job security; in terms of you can find another job in that field of needed. A lot of people want the full experience of raising a child. Also having a person at home offers the family a person to oversee appointments and school needs whilst being more hands on. It also allows parents to be more attentive to the…
