alot of guys who say that it wasnt that way are counting on us not remembering the 90s, or us simply never having lived through the 90s, so they want to make it sound like there once was a time when cold aproaching was welcomed but l dont think it ever was. as others have mentioned, including myself, if you wanted to meet someone in the 90s, you;d get a friend to introduce you

l think people met more towards the oposite of a cold aproach which is, people dated people they knew thoroughly as oposed to random guys off the street. lts kind of still that way. whenever l met a gen z, l ask them how they met their girlfriend, and it doesnt really difer that much from the 90s. l felt like back in the 50s, if you cold aproached a female, older folks woulda pulled you aside and said why are you harasing young ladies on the street. today, most people just mind their own busines…

thats how it was when i was in hs. lf l saw a female l liked, l would find a friend of hers who l knew, and ask for an introduction. l wouldnt go directly to her

females are probably more defensive with pua than panhandlers. at least with the panhandler, you give him $5, and thats the end of it. with pua, they want your time, and they want to reach out to you repeatedly which is something that most people dont want. this is why people are much more likely to just buy something from a telemarketer for $100 just to get rid of him, than they are to actualy conect with a random pua, and have to deal with him repeatedly

small talk is diferent from cold aproach. cold aproach is done with an agenda, usualy wants a phone number from atractive female. small talk is just talking to your garbage man or mailman with no objective or agenda in mind

college relies on social proof, not cold aproach. lf you cold aproach in a quad, word spreads fast youre a creep, and thats the end of your social life on campus also remember cold aproaching someone during move in week at the dorm, and freshman orientation is alot diferent from circling around the student union in a middle of a semester going up to atractive females and saying youre cute this is why when alot of pick up artists join a pottery class, they are usualy shuned because hes cold aproa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
