Did anyone find love after being divorced in late 30s?Unfortunately no, the pain was still there. But it lessened over time as I realized it wasn’t all my fault. We shared responsibility for the breakdown of our marriage and she made a choice as an adult woman to leave that. And that’s okay. It was like I would wake up in the morning with her as the first thing on my mind…until I didn’t anymore. It just took some time. I’m sure it will vary for each different man. What did help me get through those emotions and the pain was doing the emotional work… | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/07/25 12:27 AM
Did anyone find love after being divorced in late 30s?I turned 37 in March, the same month my divorce was finalized after 5 months of separation. In that time, I also sought out mental peace, but I made it a point to focus on myself and lifting weights. It became an outlet physically, but also mentally and emotionally. That hour that I spent in the gym (not every day, my goal is 4x per week so that I have some flexibility) was so nice because I can just put on my music, follow a routine, and UNSELFISHLY focus on myself and wellbeing. I literally wa… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/07/25 05:14 PM
Keeping my distanceYou’re still putting the thought of her coming back into your life above focusing on what your emotional needs are now. You don’t deserve to suffer in the hopes that a reconciliation may occur at sometime in the future. Your body is telling you need this space for yourself OP, listen to it. It’s hard. God I know how hard that is but this is the time to focus on yourself. Boundaries were probably violated in your marriage and you keeping your distance rn is probably a boundary that you need to en… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/25 04:25 PM
There's hope guysWhat kind of therapy do you go thru? CBT, Divorce Care, etc? Just checking because I also started therapy (CBT). Just wanted to see what was helpful for other men. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/04/25 01:18 AM
IS IT NORMALMan thank you for sharing this. Super helpful advice and you put the words much better than I could. I was in the same boat as you OP, only my situation is more recent. I found out I had undiagnosed ADHD and that was a lot of it, but I wouldn’t have been able to tackle the rumination and the fallout from that without being aware. As many men on here have suggested, therapy and talking really helped me start to break out of that cycle. Honestly, just being aware of it really helped me get a grip.… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/04/25 05:32 PM
After DivorceWow, what a comment. So insightful, yet succinct. It’s true OP. You’ve already got the right habits down. That’s the hard part. Stay consistent and you will move forward. She may have new “friends” but that is the easy road and lacks substance. You are building, brother. Keep laying it down. Brick by brick and you will surprise yourself in time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/03/25 09:20 PM
BlindsidedWhat a great list of helpful advice my dude. This is so good to hear. I hope it helps OP bc it’s really helping me rn. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/03/25 03:26 AM

Wife suddenly left me and my world is crumbling apart.Thank you for sharing, brother. I’m sorry that happened to you and it sounds like you have many close friends and family looking out for your wellbeing. That’s worth quite a bit in times like these. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/02/25 01:56 AM
Wife suddenly left me and my world is crumbling apart.Could you elaborate on how attempting reconciliation was your biggest mistake? I’m going through that right now and I’m just curious. Was it lost time that could’ve been preparing? Emotional toll? Delaying your peace’s etc? | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/02/25 09:59 PM
Your wake up call.Damn this hit me. I have no earthly idea what was happening to me when my STBXW couldn’t hear logic and reasoning. That was it. Bro I was outmaneuvered on an emotional battlefield. Keep your cool gents, best lesson I ever learned. Vent here if you need to. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/02/25 02:25 AM
Comparing progress with exJust came here to second everything this man is saying. From reading Meditations to hitting the gym, learning skills, etc. everything here will help you move forward. And that’s the way of Men. My wife left me the week before Thanksgiving, said she wanted a divorce two weeks before Christmas. We were married only a year but had everything going for us. I was stunned and devastated but I moved forward. It’s getting better every day. Mornings were the hardest for me. But somehow it gets better if … | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/01/25 03:48 AM
Why you must establish yourself as a sexual being.Sounds like this clever feline figured out your “single” situation and threw it back at you in an underhanded way. She knew it was a dagger. | /r/TheRedPill | 07/10/17 09:28 AM
