I know a guy in the Midwest that was 3 years 50/50 no child support , that was their agreement. The mom decided after 3 years she wanted child support. Not only did she get it but the judge ordered him to pay 3 years back pay.

It’s a hard pill to swallow but you are literally just a meal ticket. They’re so greedy and self absorbed they can’t help but to bite the hand that feeds. Get off the plantation now. When your no longer needed to support her daughters she’ll kick you to the curb.

No, the attorney can only represent one person. If the other party gets salty or doesn’t like whats signed it will get thrown out because they didn’t have legal representation if they change there mind before divorce is finalized. You’d be better off paying a paralegal to draft the agreement, get signed and notarized. This way stands better chance of judge not throwing it out since neither had legal council if it turns contested.

It’s definitely ruff out there, for me its been like fish in a barrel which creates even more trust issues so my advice date a lot until you find that one. Times have certainly changed and if they give it up to quickly which they all have I put them in the no bueno camp long term. Sounds bad but I’m constantly looking for red flags and judging now.

In a 50/50 state that will be the out come, everything split. You’ll be paying him child support and the lions share of the children’s expenses based on income gap. Even your student loans are at play if it was during the marriage.

If it goes all the way to trial all marital assets, and debt will be split 50/50. Prove your lack or limited ability to pay alimony, don’t rely on your attorney to do that for you. Right down what you make a month and get that sucker spent. Right down everything. Housing, utilities, food, gas, vehicle payment, credit cards, clothes, medical, child support, Netflix, phones, internet, cable what ever. Inflate some things add some things; get it spent. You might have to do 2 pre and post divorce bu…
