1	Stumbled across a good laugh. If only it weren't true... True. I see where they come from though, since period has throughout history been considered dirty (I mean, you werent able to enter church if you had it..) and rape has consistently been justified and/or blamed on the victims. However, whilst these things may still happen in many parts of the world, it doesn't so much true in the west today. 0	These comments give me hope Yes, I know I am and of course I know not everyone stands behind it. I am Swedish and I don't. But there is for sure a fair amount of Swedes who have come to believe that if you are pro equality you are automatically a feminist. 2	These comments give me hope Male rape and the stigma surrounding it was one of the things that really made me start calling myself an egalitarianist rather than a feminist. It is incredibly sad how much attention female rape gets in media when there are barely legislations to support the fact that men can get raped, and no help for those who have been. 8	These comments give me hope It belittles the actions of women today and our female ancestors, saying that they were automatically oppressed just for being women. It ignores every achievement of women, and any achievement promoted by feminism involves women "beating the odds". It relies on a narrative that ultimately hurts women and furthers the notions of explicit gender roles dividing society. Exactly. Feminism made me so depressed because of this.
