I'm with you man. I've been noticing the same things gradually over time, and they stand up. The thing that shook me the most was all the reading on Powertalk. It feels like I can understand a whole new language now.

I think your attitude speaks volumes about your life experiences so far and contributes to your reservations in befriending certain kinds of people. I'm introverted too - don't use that as an excuse to be close-minded. It's okay to be selective when it comes to new people or experiences, of course, but I'd urge you to keep seeking them.
