2	Motorcycles. Try one. So.. you agree with me? 1000+ cc is rarely necessary. Your average liter bike will NEVER be ridden to it's full potential. Hell, they come with limiter chips in them that PROHIBIT them from reaching max speed. I stand by my opinion that a 600cc sport bike is all the power 99% of riders will EVER need. I remember reading a statistic on motorcycle fatalities and the vast majority of them are new riders on Harley Davidsons or sport bikes who took a turn too fast and wrapped their bike around a guardrail. Oh, and they usually weren't wearing protective gear. Harley riders and sportbike riders are famous for wearing no helmet or armored gear. 1	Motorcycles. Try one. I've been riding for nearly my entire life, own 6 different bikes of all different sizes, and I still ride my Yamaha 250 as my primary dual-sport. I even have a Honda 90 that I ride around the city. People who think you need a 1200cc bike to have enough power or feel like a man are ridiculous. 1	Motorcycles. Try one. Consider getting a small dual-sport to start out with, like a Yamaha XT250. You can put street tires on them to make them perform better on pavement, but any tire will work. Small bikes are light, easy to control, and cheaper so you don't feel bad if you drop them! Most importantly, dual sports are the safest type of bike and also the easiest for a beginner to learn on. I saw a girl get off a Honda CB350 in Vancouver, BC and take off her helmet to let her hair out and it was an instant boner for me. I ride a KLR650 and a Triumph Scrambler (which is a beautiful bike to those who know bikes), and I have never been approached by women about either bike. Neither bike fits the Harley/Sportbike mold. (Harley's for older women, sportbikes for younger women) Both are technically dual-sports, which many riders know to be the most capable type of bike (in the sense that they go anywhere).
