| 31 | I just can't stop talking to people!!! (A personal anecdote about being more social)I think one of the really important parts here that hasn't been mentioned yet is speaking clearly. Being enthusiastic and in the moment works great, unless the other person says "what did you say" when you make a comment. To the introverts reading this, don't just practice talking to people, practice talking to them clearly. Proper pronunciation, speaking in a slow but meaningful way (aka not rushing something out), etc etc. These are things you can practice at home even. The guy was whipped and had bad oneitis but after he exercised he got more confident that he could get other people, not need her back. One of the big points r/fitness tries to drive home us that you should be working out for yourself, not for someone else, which I think is also what the OP is trying to get at (hopefully). Any advice?I just want to say that, where I am in my life right now, this is probably one of the most helpful and motivating things I've read. For a long time I've been really nervous about trying new things, going new places (not unlike many people), but anything you see or hear says "just keep doing it and you won't be nervous" while never actually saying anything meaningful.
